After having dinner with Jerand Xander on a moonlit night, they tookback to the villa. I got out of the

car, said goodbye to them, and went to the living room.

What | did not expect was that Theo was actually in the living room.

I ignored him, heading upstairs just after a glance.

"We... Let's talk."

His voice abruptly cfrom behind, freezingin place. | turned around and met his eyes that were looking

over. There was confusion in my voice, and my head was tilted. "Are you talking to me?"

Theo stood up and shoved his hands in his pocket. He looked cold, but when he looked at me, there was

something else in his eyes. It was as if he was looking forward to talking with me. "There's no one else here."

What a rarity.

The corner of my brow lifted slightly into an arc as | smiled sweetly. "Okay."

Stepping off the steps, | picked up my feet and turned around, walking to Theo. I chose to sit face-to-face with

him to communicate better.

Looking up, | stared at him. "So, what do you want to talk about?"

Theo finally took his hands out of his pockets, but he crossed them and rubbed them back and forth. | had never

seen him so hesitant. What did he want to say to me?

Lifting up my legs and crossing them, | chose a comfortable position and leaned back as I looked at him. "Tis

precious, President Grant. The moment your wife comes down and sees you and | alone here, she's going to

troubleagain."

"Nicky isn't that kind of person."

| did not expect the first thing he would say was in defense of Nicky. Although | had accepted the status quo, it

did not mean that | was generous. | still got uncomfortable when he was so protective and preferential toward

her in front of me.

| turned my head, showing that | did not want to hear about this. "If this is what you want to talk about, President

Grant, then | won't waste my there."

| was about to get up after | said this.

Theo stopped me. "It's not this."

"Okay, skip this topic and say what you want." | sat down again. | straightened up and waited for his next words.

He narrowed his eyes slightly, the

corners of his mouth twitching minutely as if he was still thinking. After a while, Theo opened his mouth. "You

said you're carrying our child earlier today."

Hearing this, | touched my stomach subconsciously. There was a defensiveness in my gaze, and it seemed to

envelopwhole. "What about it?"

I was a little worried that he would go back to being the old Theo and want to get rid of it.

Seeing how big my reaction was, his

expression was a little flustered as

he explained, "No, don't be nervous. |

asked Nicky why you said that. She toldthat you're obsessed withand that you suffer from delusions. You

often think that you're my wife. She also said that the child in your belly isn't mine and that it's just your

imagination."

Hearing his words, | could not help laughing out loud. "So that's what she said."

It was a pretty good script. Xander was right if Nicky wanted to be in the entertainment industry, even if she did

not becan actress, she could be a screenwriter. This story was first-class.

"What are you laughing about?" Theo asked me.

| looked at him. "You believe Nicky so much, so why still cto me? She already said so."

I did not mind it.

Theo looked atwith a bit of heat in his eyes before shaking his head. "I don't think you're a sick person.

Maybe there's struth to your words."

His words piqued my interest. Staring into his eyes, | bent over, pursed my lips, and smiled. "Then tell me, what

words of mine are true and which of them are false?"
