Chapter 807 "You barely ate anything back there, so I'm taking you for buffalo wings," Hendrix said.
"Buffalo wings?" Noelle turned to him in surprise.
Hendrix caught her hand. "Yeah. You used to love it. Do you want to go?" A soft smile played on his lips now-a stark contrast to the cold expression he had worn earlier when discussing Dylan and the Swifts.

Only then did she realize he had asked her a question. After a brief hesitation, she finally nodded. "Okay." The car smoothly changed lanes, eventually pulling up in front of a shopping mall.
It was a weekend, so the place was crowded. When Hendrix led her to the buffalo wings restaurant, they were even told that there was a waitlist.
Hendrix instantly frowned. He turned to ask if Noelle wanted to go somewhere else, only to find her staring fixed ahead at a warmly lit bakery, its entrance adorned with a row of cotton candies.
"Do you want one?" Hendrix asked.
Noelle nodded instinctively before catching herself-she was too old to eat cotton candies. But just as she started shaking her head, Hendrix was already striding toward the bakery.
She remained standing where she was. Moments later, he returned. In his hand was a pink cotton candy shaped like a bear-utterly at odds with his outfit and demeanor.
He drew stares as he walked back, but he didn't seem to care. He continued to cut through the crowd with long, purposeful steps.
The lights in the mall were bright, and the air was filled with the scent of buffalo wings and the perfof nearby women. But it was as if aft of that faded from Noelle's sight. All she could see was Hendrix walking step by step toward her.

"What's wrong?" Hendrix asked.
Noelle was pulled out of her memories by Hendrix's voice. She looked at him, wanting to say something, but found her throat tightened.
Hendrix sensed the change in her mood instantly. Frowning, he asked, "You don't like it? Did I get the wrong one? I can go back and-" As he turned to leave, Noelle swiftly grabbed his arm. "No. This is exactly the one I want."
She took the cotton candy from him and bit off a huge chunk. The sugary sweetness exploded across her n: tongue. Noelle lowered her eyes and sniffled hard. Only then did she look up at Hendrix. "Do you want some?"
As soon as the words left her mouth, she suddenly realized that Hendrix probably wouldn't like this kind of ve thing She instinctively tried to pull her hand back, but Hendrix abruptly caught her wrist. Then, following her movement, he took a bite. "It's very sweet," he remarked.
Noelle met his gaze for a long moment before suddenly smiting. Then, she nodded firmly. "I think so, too."
