Chapter 558 Night fell.

Rosie had been riding in the car all day, and her eyes were already drooping while taking a bath earlier. Now, as Noelle dried her hair, she kept nodding off, as if she could fall asleep at any moment.

Noelle couldn't help but smile at the sight. "If you're this sleepy, why don't we skip the bedtstory tonight and just go to sleep?" "No." Rosie's eyes snapped open as she insisted, "I want to hear a story." "Alright, then. What story do you want to hear today?" Rosie immediately got up and rummaged through her little bookshelf before picking out her favorite picture book, "My Little Monster".

Noelle took the book and began reading.

Rosie had heard this story many times before, but she still loved it. Every tNoelle read it to her, she would listen intently.

When Noelle reached the last page, Rosie asked, "Mommy, will the little monster stay with Betty forever?" "Yes." "Then, will you stay withforever?" Noelle smiled and nodded. "Of course." Only then did Rosie smile contentedly.

Noelle looked at her and suddenly asked, "Rosie, do you want to be with Mommy forever?" "Of course." "Then, would you be okay if someone else joined our little family?" Rosie seemed to hesitate for a moment. Then, she looked at Noelle seriously. "Is that someone Mr. Pritchett?" "Whoever it is, would you be okay with it?" "I just want you to be happy, Mommy," Rosie replied. "As long as you're happy, I'm okay with it." Noelle stared at her for a moment, then suddenly smiled and nodded. "Okay. I understand." Rosie didn't know what she meant by that, but she didn't ask. Instead, she lay down peacefully beside Noelle and hugged her.

Noelle gently patted her back. Then, with her other hand, she sent a message to Seline.

"I have something to do tomorrow. Can you babysit Rosie?" Dylan answered the phone quickly, his voice filled with obvious delight. "Hello, Noelle." "Are you still in Stormridge?" Noelle asked.

"Yes, I won't be flying off until tonight. I was actually going to ask you-" "Then, lettreat you to lunch. Are you free now?" "Yes, of course!" Dylan agreed without hesitation.

Noelle sent him the tand restaurant's address.

Dylan had assumed Noelle would bring Rosie along, as that had been. the case whenever they met up with e each other previously. Moreover, Rosie had been acting very clingy toward Noelle ever since that night in the resort. So, when he arrived at the restaurant and found only Noelle there, he was understandably surprised.

"Seline happened to be visiting, so I asked her to babysit Rosie," she explained. "So, it's just the two of us today."

Although Dylan had already noticed this, hearing Noelle say it out loud made it hard for him to contain his co emotions. The corners of his lips noticeably lifted into a smile, but afteka pause, he quickly tried to suppress it. "Rosie really likes this restaurant. I wasn't sure if you'd—" "I'm fine with anything," Dylan immediately replied.

Noelle smiled at his reaction. "Okay."

This actually wasn't their first thaving a meat alone. But at this moment, Dylan felt genuinelyo m nervous. It was as if he was waiting for an important decision that could change everything, thus making him at a loss of how to conduct himself for fear of doing something wrong.
