On the second floor of the Emperor Library, Bruce, Graham and the three strange young men at the Sky Realm from the Ghost Sect had caught the remaining five pieces of grade-7 jade slips of martial arts, just one piece in each one's hands.
As expected, in the process of grabbing the jade slips of martial arts, several small-scale conflicts broke out between both sides.
However, as the duels carried on, it was evident that the sides were evenly matched.
Of the three masters from the Ghost Sect, the man with a scorpion tattoo etched on his head was able to fight against Bruce all by himself.
The two other young men, though being at the Sky Realm, were quite weak in terms of power.
However, with the sheer advantage of being more in number—a raof two to one—they could easily combat either Bruce or Graham.
At the end, a compromise was inevitably reached such that each of the five cultivators would grab one grade-7 jade slip of martial arts.
Even though the five men were already at the Sky Realm, there was a flicker of ecstasy in their eyes when they stared at the colorful jade slip in their hands. In the whole Violet Orchid Empire, grade-7 jade slips of martial arts were rare and precious. No wonder they were so excited.
Soon, however, the five men looked at the entrance to the third floor at the stime. Their eyes shined and greed obviously overwhelmed their sensibilities.
As the martial arts handbooks stored on the second floor were grade-7 jade slips of martial arts, it was highly probable that there would be grade-8 jade slips of martial arts on the third floor Grade 8 martial arts skills were a thing of legend. You could say they were quite mythical because no one had ever seen any.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtIf they were able to find grade 8 martial arts skills, it would be incredible and frankly extraordinary.
The five men at the Sky Realm darted toward the entrance to the third floor at the stime, as if a puppeteer had decided it was the tto move.
They reached the room together. However, none of them was willing to work in a team.
Inside the room, a constantly rotating black vortex was the only entity that they could perceive. At the deep end of the vortex, they watched Austin's glimmering back disappearing gradually.
The black vortex had a spatial power fluctuation emanating from it that the five men immediately sensed. The power fluctuation was nothing but the power of space transmission.
This vortex was used for teleportation.
Bruce, Graham and the three men from the Ghost Sect were all acquainted with it. They put two and two together and realized that Austin would have teleported himself using the black vortex.
The room looked empty to the five at first notice. However, if the vortex was conjured up specifically to enter somewhere, where there were incredible treasures, the five didn't want to lag behind.
They scrambled to the middle of the black swirl and attempted to enter it.
However, they were too late. Just as they reached the vortex, flying at their maximum speed, Austin's dim figure had already disappeared. Instantly, the two-meter-high black vortex vanished out of sight.
The room had only a faint remnant of spatial power left behind.
"Damn it! We are too late!" Graham cursed. He had a famously short temper.
Meanwhile, the rest held a gloomy look on their face.
They extensively searched the room but found nothing.
The five took turns to search, just in case someone missed out on something. Yet, other than a picture on the wall, there was nothing substantial.
In the process of searching, Bruce and Graham did not fight against the three men from the Ghost Sect. They could only glanced questioningly at each other.
After they had fought with each other twice—once on the first floor and then on the second—they had cto the conclusion that there would be no winner. The only reasonable thing to do was to stop fighting.
After a long tspent in researching the picture, Graham got nothing useful out of it. His frustration had gone to his head and he could not suppress his anger any more. He unleashed a strong vital energy force directed straight at the picture on the wall.
However, just as Graham's vital energy force was about to hit the picture, a flash of flaming red light gleamed and a shout originated from the picture. The voice was authoritative.
"How dare you be this disrespectful! Get out!" The yell sounded like a peal of thunder, echoing in five men's ears.
The voice brought with itself a strong, irresistible force which grabbed the five men. The force immediately threw the five men out.
Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang! The five men ended up smashing on the ground of the square in front of the Emperor Library, each inside their own 4 feet pit.

On the other hand, Austin had noticed a figure sitting on a huge flaming red stone pillar. He walked over towards it.
Austin approached the pillar and gazed at the man, who looked like a middle-aged, elegantly dressed man. At present, the man was relaxing. His eyes were shut.
After observing his face for stime, Austin realized that the man was the sperson whose picture hung on the wall.
Suddenly, a breeze flew and gently lifted the middle-aged man's red clothes. He opened his eyes.
"Boom!" When his eyes opened, the whole room shook. It felt like the heavens were pressing down on this realm. The pressure was overwhelming.
As soon as the middle-aged man opened his eyes, it seemed as if the vital energy, the essence, and even the light of heaven and earth were gathered in his body, making him look pure and sacred. In the room, he was the all-powerful God.
Feeling the middle-aged man's great pressure enveloping the room, Austin felt unable to breathe.
This middle-aged man was definitely an extremely strong cultivator! Austin realized that this man was much more powerful than himself.
"Young man, are you looking for treasures in the Mysterious Nether World?" The middle-aged man's eyes slowly turned to Austin. His eyes were calm and his voice did not have a hint of surprise in it.
His desolate, loud voice echoed in the room like a peal of thunder across the sky.
"Yes. My nis Austin. | cinto the Mysterious Nether World to look for buried treasure. Accidentally, | have intruded your space. | didn't intend to disturb you. I'm really sorry.
Master, may | know your name?" Austin asked respectfully. His voice had a reverence in it. Austin knew he was nothing in compared to the man "Ha ha! Even if | tell you my name, you would have definitely not heard of it.
Along tago, in the PrMartial World, people used to callthe FlEmperor." "The FlEmperor?" Austin remarked.
Austin ruminated for a moment in silence. He had never heard of a person called the FlEmperor.
