Austin's mother was flustered, on edge of a panic attack. It was reasonable. After all, this was the very first tshe had killed

someone. Her whole life, she had never thought of taking someone's life.

It turned out to be as easy as waving off a fly. She simply did what her son had taught her to do.

The sword was so sharp and her maneuver was swift and accurate, so it chopped her opponent's head off in one single move.

"Mom, you did well. Don't feel guilty about it at all. You heard them before. These people are obviously coming at us with evil

plans. If you don't kill them, they will kill us.

Chad stepped forward, wrapping his arm around her shoulders to comfort her. He knew his mother well and understood what she

At the stime, Austin's father also cast an encouraging glance at his wife.

The old man in a grey robe waved his hand, and dozens of black armored soldiers surrounded the three of them at the stime.

Austin's family was outnumbered, fifty to one.

Fighting alone, these solders were not at all threatening, not showing any formidable capacity.

But it was a different story when they were united. Together they formed an array, which could effectively unleash their full power.

"l am so sorry, but I'm afraid I'm unable to protect your family from this army."

The mountain god shook his head with a sigh, feeling extremely guilty.

Not far away, there were hundreds more soldiers, ready to attack at any time.

Besides, the old man in grey robe hadn't made a move from beginning to end. He must be the strongest one, saving his strength

only for the most powerful opponents.

Under this situation, the mountain god was sure that it was impossible for all three of them to emerge from this unharmed.

"Well, at least, this mountain god is a man who can keep his promises. He's reliable and trustworthy,"

Austin murmured as he nodded his head, far away from the crowd.

By this time, he had already locked with the vitality of his parents and elder brother. The moment their lives were threatened, he

could easily cto their rescue in the blink of an eye and defend them.

With a deafening rustle, dozens of red iron chains formed together to block the space as a cold wind blew from all directions.

The soldiers swung the red chains before suddenly letting them go. The deadly chains flew toward Austin's parents and elder

brother like crimson snakes.

The three of them hurriedly retreated and prepared to dodge the chains that were about to rain down on them.

They moved swiftly, but not fast enough to get away from the chains. None of them were that mature in martial arts to withstand,

let alone fight off such a terrible array.

It was only a matter of tbefore the chains reached them.

In no time, the purple spear in Austin's father's hands were entangled by the chains. By ssheer force, the chains had yanked

the spear from his hand and had thrown it away.

The long sword that Austin's mother had in her hand was also taken away from her and smashed to pieces.

"Chad, retreat to the temple! Your father and | will cover you!"

their mother shouted anxiously.

If they stayed and continued to fight, the three of them would be in the losing end and might not survive this battle.

"No! | won't go in alone! You'd better go with me, or I'm staying with you two!"

Chad defied his mother without a second thought.

"Don't be stubborn. Leave now! I'll cover for you!"

The mountain god strode over to give them a hand as the situation was starting to get out of hand.

Yulia shouted impatiently, eager to join the fight right away.

"Yeah Austin, let's go!"

The four old men could hardly stand aside either. They all looked at Austin eagerly for his instructions.

"Okay, | hear you. I'll transfer a streak of law energy to each of you, and then you can move underground freely for a while."

Austin nodded his approval. He waved his hand slightly and five brownish yellow light balls flew out from him and penetrated the

bodies of Yulia and the four old men.
