Chapter 66

Raven took the manicure book from Olive and went through it. Olive focused her gaze on Raven’s

handsome face. He was no less handsome than Elvis.

He had wore an appearance of coldness and alienation. He was the type of man that people always

wanted approaching, but lacked the courage to.

Raven pointed to a particular color and said,

“Not bad.” He was referring to the red color.

North walked out of the saloon.

“Bro, you’re here!” She muttered and headed to them.

Raven raised his eyes and saw her, his eyes swept across her newly made nails.

“What do you think, are my nails nice?” North waved her hands.

Raven took in his lips and enounced.

“Yea, it’s beautiful.”

North retracted her hands and pulled Olive.

“Olive, let’s go.”

Raven reached out and picked up some of the bags which contained what they had purchased.

Olive felt really honoured to have Raven help with the bag.

The trio left the mall. North’s car was parked in the parking lot.

“I’ll drop you guys off.” Raven offered and handed over the bags to North.

North raised her car key which was in her hand.

“Bro. I came with my car, so no need to drop us off. Aren’t Pamela and Gwen in there as well? You can

just drop them off instead.“.

Raven glanced at the car key in her hand.

“I doubt you’re that good at driving.”

North tucked a few strands of her curly hair behind her car.

“Bro, I’m an adult now, I can’t always rely on you.”

Raven stared at her and uttered indifferently.

“Leave the car here, I’ll drive you home.”

Raven’s phone which was in his pocket rang.

“Why not take your call? I’m sure it’s Pamela calling so you could drop her off. If you doubt, you can as

well answer

the call.”

Raven took out his phone and answered the call.

“Hello? Raven, where are you now? Can you come drop me and Gwen off? Our car is faulty and needs

to be sent to the mechanic.” Pamela’s lovely voice sounded.

Raven glanced at North. North furrowed her brows, awaiting to see which he’ll go for.

“I’m out here at the parking lot.” Raven chose Pamela. He turned to North and said,

“Drive carefully.”

North was not surprised. Pamela could always get his attention whenever she wanted.

“Sure, I’ll go ahead with Olive.” North and Olive entered North’s Ferrari sports car and drove off.

Pamela had arrived the parking lot almost immediately with Gwen and had gotten into Raven’s car, as

they sped off behind North.

Pamela said apologetically,

“Raven, I’m really sorry. I know you wanted dropping North. Hope she wasn’t upset? I know she really

doesn’t like us together.”

Due to the relationship between Olive and Pamela, North hated Pamela so much. Back then, when she

first saw Pamela with Raven, she was so mad at Raven.

As a teenager. Raven was the ladies’s man, he was always receiving gifts and letters from girls. At that

time, North was still very young and had even helped the girls deliver the letters and gift to Raven.

The only thing she couldn’t tolerate was Raven with Pamela, she would be furious whenever she saw

them together. Pamela could vividly remember an incident which occurred at one of Raven’s birthday

party. She had gone to the party, but Raven was no where to be found. Everyone was searching for him.

While searching for Raven, Pamela went to the girl’s restroom, she was welcomed by North’s crying

voice.

“Brother, you know I don’t like Pamela, she hurt Olive. I don’t want her here.”

“North, don’t cry. You know you’ll make me feel bad.” North’s low and hoarse voice had consoled.

“Then why did you invite Pamela over? I don’t like the two of you together. She hurt Olive!”

“Are you chosing Olive’s happiness over mine? If you don’t give me a good answer, then you’ll always

see Pamela.” Raven had walked out and slammed the door.

Pamela knew that North and Raven did like themselves as siblings. Raven was always protective of

North, and didn’t allow boys get close to her.

Gwen’s snorting voice came in,

“Raven, is North jealous?”

Raven licked his lips and said nothing.

The car horn honked, Raven turned his eyes and saw the red Ferrari car speeding over.

North sat in the driver seat and Olive in the passenger’s seat. North had taken off her hat, and now wore

a white. sunglasses.

Pamela and Gwen also sighted North. Back then, North was really clueless. Apart from the fact that

would with Raven about Pamela. North was also very obedient and well–behaved.

It was now obvious that North had changed greatly in the past two years.

Raven concentrated his eyes on North’s brown curly hair. Pamela suddenly screamed,

“Raven, stop quickly, you’re about speeding past the red light!”

Raven pulled the brake quickly and the car stopped.

Pamela and North were so frightened as they stared at him with widened eyes.
