Chapter 2059 Have You Heard About What Happened to Leah?
Ian continued speaking after seeing Cindy nod. "It would be great if she had guessed it. I haven't even thought
about how I should go about it with her."
The couple didn't actually know what to tell Aurora.
Cindy was too shy to say anything about this to her.
On top of that, Aurora was a single woman, which made Cindy feel like she would sound as though she was
bragging if she said anything about the marriage.
The food finally came, and just as they were in the middle of slowly enjoying the dishes, he suddenly brought up
another matter. "We can't hold the wedding anytime soon. Is it alright if we were to plan it after my company allows
it, or when my contract has ended?"
"Sure," she agreed with a nod. "I'm fine with that. I don't really mind."
Then, they continued to slowly have their meal.
Aurora still hadn't called even after they had finished their food. That was when they were sure that she had

They went and paid the bill after that, and instead of catching a ride back, they took their time to relax outside
while holding each other's hand.
Cindy was the first to speak. "I think Aurora knows why we left the hotel. Why don't we give her a call and tell her
that we'll be back late?"
"I don't think we have to," Ian responded after giving it some thought. "She probably isn't waiting for us to head
back anyway. She would have gone off to do whatever she wanted to."
She thought about it and eventually nodded in agreement. "That is true," she said shortly before looping her arm
around Ian's.
Then, she let out a bashful giggle and asked, "Should I change how I address Aurora? Will it be weird?"
Her words made Ian smile as well. "I'll discuss with her how much she should pay you to get you to call her by a
different name. You can do it when the time is right for you."
"We don't need to do that." She was laughing so hard that her shoulders began to shake. "What is a rich man like
you digging into her purse like that for?"
Ian's eyes immediately widened after hearing that, and in a solemn voice, he told her, "You can't live life so naively,
do you understand? No one ever complains about having too much money!"
Cindy only pouted in response to his lecturing her. Then, they continued to take their stroll around the neighborhood
until it was time for them to return.
Aurora was nowhere to be found after they had gotten a ride back to the hotel. Still, they didn't contact her, and
only went back to their room to pack their luggage.
The two of them didn't know whether they should continue enjoying their time here for the next two days, or head
back home for a proper rest.
Just as they were done with packing, Ian's phone suddenly began to ring.
"What is it?" he hurriedly asked after accepting the call.
The caller was Sean and he spoke in a rather nonchalant manner. He didn't sound like he was calling to say
anything important and casually threw out the question. "Have you heard about what happened to Leah?"
Ian didn't know the specifics as he had stopped paying any attention to her after he had received a call from Logan.
All he knew was that Logan had dumped her at a hospital's entrance after causing her hell.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThere probably wasn't anything to worry about since she was dropped off at a hospital, and that was why he
stopped keeping himself updated about Leah.
"I knew that Logan has always been holding back. He really went hard on her when he was set off." Sean laughed.
"I always thought that he was a kitty, but he turned out to be a tiger! He sure is a gutsy one."
A slightly taken aback Ian quickly asked again, "What is it? Do you know what happened to Leah?"
Needless to say, Sean was well aware about what exactly happened to her. Leah wasn't particularly hiding her
situation and he had easily gotten news regarding it after he tried to find out. He let out a small laugh and replied,
"Yup. I have informants telling me about it even if I don't ask."
"So, what exactly is going on?" Ian turned around and went to stand beside the sofa. "Logan didn't really tell me the
details yesterday. I didn't ask either."
Sean could be heard letting out a long breath before he said, "Her face has been disfigured. Her leg that had just
healed has been broken again. There are also injuries everywhere on her body. She will probably have to stay in
bed for a few months before she can bounce back."
However, Ian had unconsciously left out the rest of the sentence and only hesitantly asked, "Disfigured? What do
you mean by 'her face has been disfigured'?"
"It is exactly as I said," Sean casually answered with a laugh. "Is it that hard to understand my words?"
