The moment she heard the word tests, Marie's legs practically gave out. Derrick had no choice but to lead her

straight to the second-floor exam room.

“Wait here,” he told her. “I'll have someone handle the payment.”

His men hadn't followed them all the way inside earlier, so Derrick stood at the door and mad a quick call. Within

minutes, one of his people showed up, took the slip, and went to pay.
