When Logan and Faye were about to capture their moment together, the camera decided to bail on them. Their perfectly posed

moment washed away in an instant. Adding to the misfortune, all phones were stacked away in a pile, making Faye miss her

chance to get a snapshot with Logan.

Had it not been for that moment of betrayal by technology, perhaps they too would be reminiscing over a photo filled with

memories, rather than Faye envying the snapshots of Logan with others.

Faye's gloom was as clear as day, so much so that even Logan, engrossed in his medical reports, couldn't help but notice.

Without making it obvious, Logan glanced up, catching Faye's gaze fixated on a particular spot on his desk.

Following her line of sight, Logan immediately grasped the situation.

She couldn't have found out, could she?

A perilous thought crossed his mind, and he instinctively blocked her view with his body.

Before Faye could get a clear look, a blur of white engulfed her vision, and upon looking up again, all she saw was Logan's earnest

face.

Logan, feeling uneasy, handed over the reports and started, “These are the figures you need to be cautious of. Don't go overboard;

the patient won't be able to handle it. While adhering to the standard dosage, you can adjust according to individual cases, but the

figures you've chosen are way off.”

Faye found herself lost in the movement of Logan's lips, clearly not absorbing his words.

Logan, realizing she wasn't paying attention, meticulously annotated the report with explanations and emergency procedures to

prevent any further mishaps.

After Faye scribbled all over the pristine report and Logan reviewed it once more, he placed it in front of her, “Alright, I've checked

it. You can go back to rehearsing now.”

Logan's words snapped Faye back to reality.

“Make sure the interns get a chance to practice as well, for a better oue next time. Any questions?”

“No, thanks, Logan. I'll be off then.” Faye couldn't bear the thought of staying any longer, wishing for a hole to swallow her up.

Logan knew it wasn't the right moment to say anything as he watched her leave.

Only when her footsteps faded did Logan reach for his now-cold breakfast, tearing into it without a word.

Faye returned to an empty department, the interns nowhere in sight.

She sat alone, her mind drifting away with the report in front of her.

After what felt like an eternity, Dr. Pendleton emerged, weary from surgery, her only solace being the between Faye and

Logan.

Barely keeping herself upright, Dr. Pendleton joked about feeling her soul slip away during surgery and prodded Faye for any gossip

about her talone with Logan.

Faye, taken aback by Dr. Pendleton's insinuations, held up the report, “He was just explaining the practical application, nothing out

of the ordinary.”

Dr. Pendleton, sensing a somber air, couldn't help but pry further, teasing about Logan's apparent concern for Faye.

Faye's response, tinged with bitterness at the mention of Logan's unknown girlfriend, left Dr. Pendleton feeling uneasy, sensing an

unspoken sorrow.

As their conversation accidentally reached the ears of the eavesdropping interns, a mix of disbelief and disappointment spread

among them.

Their idolized couple wasn't as sweet as they imagined, leading to a whirlwind of emotions and accusations.

In the midst of their uproar, a single voice of reason suggested giving Logan the benefit of the doubt, reminding them not to judge

too quickly based on hearsay.

Yet, the interns couldn't shake off their disillusionment, their ideal picture shattered by reality's harsh truths.

As expected, she was met with a barrage of icy stares.

"What do you know? Speople are just really good at pretending. You haven't noticed Logan's true colors, a real wolf in sheep's

clothing, all his niceness is just an act!"

The girl with glasses, usually blending into the background, adjusted her frames, "I don't think that's the case."

Despite the mounting pressure, she continued, "Logan treats Faye differently from the rest of us. Faye mentioned she only saw a

photo on the desk, but she didn't say what Logan's girlfriend looks like. It could very well be a photo of Faye and Logan together,

right?"

There was no denying that the girl with glasses had a point, but skepticism quickly arose. "If that's the case, wouldn't she have

recognized herself in the photo?"

"Faye also mentioned they were high school classmates. It's possible she doesn't remember everything from back then so clearly.

Maybe from where she was standing, she couldn't see the photo well, leading her to assthe worst?"

"lI don't buy it! You've been wanting to get in Logan's good graces for a while now, glasses girl. You're just trying to make excuses

for him!"
