The manager nodded and prepared to turn and leave when Jacob said, "Hey, are you the manager here?" The manager turned around again. "Yes, I am." Jacob said in a cold voice, "I want to file a complaint against you!" Astounded, the manager asked, "You want to complain about me? Why?!" Jacob pointed at Hannah and growled furiously, "Your staff physically attackedand verbally abusedfor no reason, yet you didn't even care about it! This is an obvious dereliction of duty! Is this how you usually enable your staff?" The manager asked, puzzled, "Aren't you two relatives?" Jacob shouted, "Huh! I'm not related to her at all!" 1 The manager was even more puzzled. He pointed at Hannah and said, "But she said so!" Jacob said with contempt, "Do you believe everything she says? It seems that you are truly negligent in your duties! I think you are related to her! Why else would you condone her so much?" The manager's heart skipped a beat, and he hurriedly asked politely, "Sir, are you not related to Hannah?" Jacob propped his head up high and said in a cold voice, "Of course not! I don't even know her! My son-in-law and I cto buy something, and it was finally our turn to check out after waiting for ages. However, she insisted that her counter was closed and asked us to go to another counter. I think she did it on purpose! Besides, she spoke rudely tojust now! You should have heard it, right?" Panicked, the manager turned to Hannah and asked i n dismay, "What the hell is going on here?! If you don't givea clear explanation, you're done!" 1 Hannah was terrified too!
When she had seen Jacob and Charlie earlier, she was so furious all of a sudden and had started cussing at Jacobregardless of her post. She never expected that Jacob would go and complain to her manager! She was shooting herself in the foot!
At this point, she hurriedly begged, "Jacob, please tell my manager that we are family, and kmusister-in-law. Napologize to you for whatever I've done wrong, but please don't jeopardize my job. I'm begging you, please!"
Jacob glared at her and then turned to the manager as he said, "Look at her and her eloquent mouth! Pabh't even f*cking know her, yet she keeps on saying that she's my sister-in-law! Would you be able to stand it if you were in my shoes?" 1 Hannah quickly interjected, "No! Manager, don't listen to him! I am truly his sister-in-law!" Jacob patted the manager's shoulder and asked with his expressionless face, "Would you believeif I said I was your father?" X
