Returning from the Dead: His Secret Lover Chapter 1271
He looked up the sky with torrents of grief streaming down his cheeks for the first time in forever.
Those around him, including the doctors, fell silent when they saw the man’s pair of eyes brimming with
tears.
They were well aware their country was safe and sound because of the weeping man. Had it not been
for him, they might be the ones suffering.
Therefore, they truly felt the man’s agony and thought the least they could do was to leave him alone.
“Sebastian! Where are you?”
The one breaking the silence was the woman rushing up the stairs.
She was startled by the mess on the higher levels of the hospital and ended up yelling once she made
it to the lobby.
Devin’s eyes gleamed when he heard her. He marched out of the office, yelling while rushing towards
her, “Sasha, we’re here!”
Thrilled by the presence of Devin upstairs, Sasha looked up and repeated after him, “Is Sebastian
upstairs as well?”

Those around Sebastian were glad Sasha had made it to the hospital since she was the one the
dejected man needed to pull himself together.
Seated in a pile of rubble, the man looked up and caught a glimpse of a woman in a yellow dress
looking at him in the eyes with a concerned look.
“Are you okay? Are you hurt? Show me your wounds if you’re hurt!” she repeated her question since
Sebastian seemed to be unaware of her presence. In the end, she thought of inspecting the man’s
wounds to figure out his actual condition.
Sebastian was startled by the presence of the woman when he felt her fingers on his wrists. He was
glad it wasn’t an imagination because she was merely an arm’s length away from her.
He greeted her in a hoarse and quivering voice, “Darling—”
Sasha looked at him in the eyes and asked, “What’s wrong? Is everything—”
She was equally startled by the man’s response and thought she had been hearing things because he
never once showed her his vulnerable side throughout the years.
What the hell is going on? Wasn’t it just another explosion? Was there something more to it?
She was made aware there was an explosion, but that was pretty much everything others told her
when she was on her way there.
“Y-Your—”
Sasha found out the man’s concerns when he gasped out a word with his eyes glued to her stomach.
Her face turned pale and haggard because she thought he might have figured out her miscarriage.
H-Has Grayson told him everything?
The flustered Sasha stuttered, “I-I’m so sorry for keeping you in the dark. I-I was merely afraid the news
would get in your way. You don’t have to worry because I’ll take care of myself and see if we can have
another additional member of the family in the future.”
She assured him it wasn’t the end when she wasn’t sure if it was possible for her to get pregnant again
in the future.
It was merely an attempt of hers to keep the man sane.
Sebastian gaped at the things Sasha brought up. Those around them responded in a similar manner
when they figure out the truth.
He paused for quite a long time before asking the question, “A-Are you telling me you have

Sasha felt overwhelmed and repeated herself with an apologetic look, “It happened about a month ago.
I think our child—”
The man held her firmly in his arms, stopping her from finishing his sentence as he was thrilled by the
great news.
Seriously? It turns out it’s not the end for us!
Sebastian couldn’t even recall the last time he was as excited as such. He wrapped his arms around
her to express his emotions.
He was the only one he cared about. To be precise, he was ready to put his life to an end to join her in
the afterworld if something were to happen to her.
Those around them heaved a sigh of relief because of the drastic turn of events for the better.
On their way out of the hospital two hours later, Devin couldn’t suppress his curiosity anymore. He
asked, “Sasha, when did you figure out something was wrong with your child?”
Sasha thought it was time to share everything with the rest. “I need to thank Aunt Sharon!”
“Why?”
“The jade she gave me worked like a charm against radioactive substances! Since the child was a
radioactive source, the jade shattered after quite some time!”
