Chapter 2360

Ivy couldn’t help but feel a jolt of surprise. For days, Mara had been playing nice in front of Balfour, yet

here she was, showing her true colors behind closed doors.

“Ms. Lewis, are you mixed up or something? You’re the one who’s the third wheel between Balfour and

me. What’s the matter, wasn’t it enough for you to sneakily send me those pictures last night? Now

you’re here to give me a face-to-face warning?”

Ivy, despite her anger the previous night, had easily guessed that Mara had sent those intimate photos

on purpose. After all, ‘accidentally’ sending a picture required navigating through several steps, right?

Besides, they had only just added each other as friends and had never messaged before. Mara had to

specifically search for Ivy’s contact to send that picture, then timed the retraction of the photo,

pretending it was sent to the wrong person. Ivy didn’t buy for a second that Mara intended to send that

picture to Balfour.

“Sweetheart, you know darn well how many years Balfour and I go back. How can you stand there with

a straight face and accuse me of being the third wheel? If it weren’t for you, I’d be the one by his side

right now. You stole Balfour from me! I suggest you get a grip and don’t have any delusions of coming

between us!”

Ivy had thought countless times about how she would confront Mara, but she never imagined it would

go down like this – a showdown in the restroom of some diner.

In secret, she could feel sad and envious of the years of connection Balfour and Mara shared, but once

Mara threw down the gauntlet, Ivy wasn’t about to back down.

Even if they had years of history, so what?

Balfour and she were now legally married. They were the real deal.

“Before you go running your mouth, Ms. Lewis, maybe you should consider your own standing. What

does your ‘long acquaintance’ amount to? Right now, Balfour and I are married, while you’re nothing

more than an old friend from abroad. Ever stop to think that maybe you’re the one who’s out of line?”

Mara had to admit she’d underestimated Ivy. After her tirade, Ivy remained unfazed, countering with a

disarming smile.

She had thought Ivy would slink away after getting an earful!

“Is that right? Well then, let’s put it to the test and see who really matters more to Balfour- me or you?”

Ivy’s smile slowly faded. She had no clue what this woman was plotting.

“Let’s keep our heads on straight, shall we? In public, I have no interest in squabbling with you. If you’ll

excuse me, I’m leaving.”

Leaning on her crutches, Ivy turned to leave, but Mara unexpectedly yanked her back.

Already unsteady on her feet, relying on the crutches for support, Ivy nearly lost her balance and

toppled over. Her anger flared.

“What’s your problem? You really think I won’t fight back?”

Standing on one leg, Ivy struggled to wrestle her crutches from Mara’s grip, but instead, Mara let out a

scream and fell backwards, crashing to the floor.

The sound of her head smacking the ground echoed sharply, freezing Ivy in place, her crutches

forgotten.

In a panic, Ivy shouted, “Mara, you alright? Mara!”

Mara’s eyelids fluttered slowly; she’d really taken a hard fall and was still reeling, her threatening to

close.

eyes

Fearing she might pass out, Ivy kept calling her name. Just then, another woman came out of the

restroom, and upon seeing the scene, screamed.

“Ah-There’s a body!”

Ivy’s face went ghostly pale.
