Chapter 1921
Leila’s heart raced as she heard Balfour’s demand to send her to the police. “Mr. Howard… please, no! I’m
innocent… Ms. Dunhill is framing me…”
Mr. Balfour snorted dismissively, “And why would she frame you? If you’re not guilty, why rush back to clean the
pot?”
Tears welled up in Leila’s eyes, but she was at a loss for words, “I just…”
Running out of patience, Balfour commanded, “Quinton, take her away!”
“Yes, Mr. Howard!” Quinton stepped forward, gripping Leila tightly, preparing to escort her out…

“Ivy, you’re so damn lucky! The young master was almost convinced by me, and yet you still managed to trap me
like this. What a schemer you are!”
As she spoke, her emotions surged, and tears streamed down her face, “You’re a wicked woman, a wicked woman!
You’re not worthy of my Mr. Howard!”
Desperate, Leila reached out to claw at Ivy.
Before Ivy could react, a strong hand pulled her away, avoiding Leila’s grasp.
Regaining her composure, Ivy turned to see Balfour, her heart skipping a beat.
Thank goodness he was there in time to pull her back, saving her from Leila’s wrath.
“Thank you,” Ivy murmured, turning her gaze back to Leila.
Refusing to leave with Quinton, Leila looked at Balfour, crying incessantly, “Mr. Howard, I’ve worked here for so
many years without a single mistake! Can you give me another chance? Please don’t send me to the police, I’ll
never do it again!”
Ivy turned to Balfour, worried that he might
let Leila off the hook out of sentimentality.
“Quinton, see to it properly, and make sure this kind of person never sets foot in Howard’s family again!”
Without uttering a single word to Leila or even sparing her a glance, Balfour turned away and walked out of the
kitchen.
“Yes, Mr. Howard!” Quinton acknowledged, then proceeded to pull Leila away.

Leila was truly frightened now, pleading non-stop, “Quinton, I’ve realized my mistake, please don’t take me to the
police.”
Quinton lifted Leila off the ground, “Ms. Dunhill, I’ll take her away now.”
Ivy nodded.
Soon after, the sound of police sirens filled the air.
Ivy peered out the window, watching as the police took Leila away. Despite her struggles, there was no escaping the
consequences.
This was the Howard family’s way of justice, indeed fair and impartial.
Turning around, Ivy noticed Balfour standing behind her. He asked, “You feel sorry for her?”
“Not at all,” Ivy shook her head firmly, “She made her bed, now she has to lie in it.”
Mr. Balfour’s eyes narrowed slightly, “Ivy, you’re smarter than I thought.”
Ivy pursed her lips, “If I hadn’t tricked her, I wouldn’t have been able to prove my innocence.”
