Chapter 1242
She was a rich girl and had lived the high life ever since she was a kid, but for love, she started to hit the books.
Because she had a clear goal, she leamed quickly and even mastered a few dishes.
She felt a bit silly when looking back now. The first time she worked her ass off studying. It was all for a guy, not for
herself.
Belinda, who was prepping to cook, heard what Chase said, causing her cheeks to flush a bit, but she was mainly
annoyed. “Mr. Larios, if you want to help, then zip it. If you want to keep chit-chatting, then you can see yourself
out!”
Chase chuckled. I was just speaking my mind. Did I ruffle your feathers?”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtBelinda just huffed and ignored him.
Just as they had everything ready to cook, they heard the front door open from outside.
Both of them looked towards the door and saw Ida walk in, looking beat, with a bouncy Byran following behind her.
Byran and Belinda saw each other. They both frowned and almost simultaneously asked.
“Why are you here?”
“Why are you here?”
Ida was a bit surprised to see Belinda busy in the kitchen, but she didn’t ask anything and just walked over to Chase.
“Where’s the boss?”
Chase washed his hands. “She’s getting some sleep in her room.”
Ida nodded in relief, took off her coat, and tossed it on the couch. She then went to Ellinor’s room, knocked on the
door, and went in.
Byran knew better than to follow. He ran to the kitchen and slanted his eyes at Belinda. “Belinda, why are you here
cooking? Is it because of Chase?”
Belinda glared at him. “Shut it! Don’t spout nonsense! I should be asking you why you came back with Ms. Gipson.
How far have you two gone?”
Byran puffed his chest and spoke without hiding anything. “We’re dating!”
Belinda rolled her eyes. “I can’t believe Ms. Gipson fell for a kid like you!”
Byran scrunched his brows, looking upset. “What do you mean? Who are you calling a kid?”
You, kiddo!”
“Belinda! Just because Theo is your uncle doesn’t mean I won’t stand up to you!”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmBelinda scoffed. “I don’t need to mention my uncle to deal with you! Just one call to your brother, saying you’re
here, and he’ll send someone to pick you up. You
wanna bet?”
Byran’s eyes widened; he was clearly scared. “Don’t! I… I don’t want to go home yet! Your food looks delicious; I’ll
leave after eating.”
Belinda smirked. “You’re not here for the food. You’re here for Ms. Gipson, aren’t you?”
Byran’s cheeks turned red. With a boyish shyness, he lifted his chin defiantly. “You knew and still said it! What’s
wrong with wanting to spend some time with my -girlfriend?”
Belinda smiled faintly. “Nothing; it’s all good. Go find your girlfriend; don’t get in my way here!”
Byran didn’t seem to want to leave. He stared at her with his big eyes, curiously watching her. “I’ve already told you
why I’m here, but you haven’t told me why you’re here cooking! Tell me, are you messing around with Chase?”
