My vision was very blurry. | felt a sharp pain in my stomach and felt my breath expel from my lungs. The pain continued to travel all over my body. | used my arms to shield my face and | could taste something metallic in my mouth. | kept hearing voices but | couldn't make out what they were saying. Soon darkness covered my eyes and | drifted unconscious.

| was woken up by a burning sensation in my lungs. | opened my eyes and barely registered that my head was in water. | had inhaled water and it was filling my lungs. | tried to lift my head only to have a force on my head keepingin place. | struggled and struggled, feeling more lightheaded as body tried to reach for oxygen. My whole body ached but the adrenaline to survive overpowered every other feeling. | started flailing my arms and tried to reach for the force that was holding my head down only to be submerged further.

| felt my body slowing, the need to breath too great and I let the water enter into my body. | welcomed the darkness one more time. Suddenly my head was pulled out of the water and a piercing pain shattered withinas oxygen tried to fill my lungs. | coughed up what | thought was a swimming pool of water. Each subsequent breath felt as if a knife was shredding my lungs. My vision was still blurry and | felt warm hands on my face.

A few moments later a face cinto my view and it was Kai. He smiled atand kissed my forehead and huggedagainst his chest. | clung to him like a lifeline, my grip feeling weak but his arms aroundwere strong and warm. | looked over and saw Jason, Charlie, Ben, and few others standing around, looking murderous.

| could make out a silver gun dangling in Jason’s hand. Darkness once again filled my vision as | felt exhausted. | welcomed the darkness knowing | was safe and cared for.

Unknown POV | watched my princess storm off to the bathroom. That loser Kai tried to follow but was stopped by a very drunk Fernando Santiago. If | had a caring bone in my body, | would be sad for her seeing her so upset over those sluts sitting with Jason and Charlie. Delilah McCallister has her claws in Jason's shirt and no doubt trying to seduce him. She's a decent fuck, but she sleeps with anyone who is willing to throw a little money her way. | looked back to the main crowd and saw Jason and his pussy crew looking frantically around. | checked my watch and saw that Aurora had been in the bathroom for over thirty minutes now. Jason and Charlie cout adjusting their suit coats a few minutes later and walked out of the building calmly. | didn’t have to tell Alexi anything but | was seeing red and | wanted to know everything. We got up and exited out the side entrance.

“I want to know everything that happened by the twe get back to the penthouse! | order. Blood is going to he spilt tonight.
