Chapter 106 Tempers flared. Tension thrummed through the air. The two men looked like they were ready to pounce on each other. Not wanting that to happen, Thalassa quickly inserted herself between them.

"What is going on here?" she demanded, her questioning gaze on Kris.

"Why don't you ask that guy?" Kris sneered, waving the bouquet of pink lilies in his hand. "He's not satisfied with just controlling his sister's life. He also thinks he has the right to make decisions for you." Thalassa was confused. She turned to look at Zeke. "What is he talking about?" Guilt mixed with anger on Zeke's face, but he didn't say anything.

"What? Cat got your tongue?" Kris snickered. "Since you won't tell her, I will. Thalassa, I sent sflowers to be delivered to you, but this bastard sent away the delivery man and even threatened to call security on him, all while claiming that it was by your instructions." He was so glad he had stayed in his car after sending the delivery man to deliver the flowers.

Thalassa was taken aback by what she was hearing. She turned back to look at Zeke with a stern expression, giving him a chance to deny Kris's accusation. That denial never came; the guilty expression on his face gave him away.

Thalassa made a mental note to talk to him about it later. But for now, she wasn't going to allow Kris to feel validated in any way.

She tilted her head back to face Kris. "And?" Kris paused. "What do you mean, 'and'? He's trying to control your decisions. He sent the flowers away without your permission." "That's because he knows that I want nothing to do with you or any gift you might want to bring me." Kris stared at her in disbelief. “Just to spite me, are you really going to let him control your decisions?" "In this case, and everything that has to do with you, yes," she announced, a cold look entering her eyes. "What were you even thinking, sendingthose? That I was just going to accept them after I've clearly told you that I want nothing to do with you?" She scoffed. "You're lucky Zeke sent the flowers away, because if they had been brought to me, I would've torn them apart and flushed them down the toilet. And what a waste of money that would be, wouldn't it?" Kris was hurt. The absolute coldness and disdain in her eyes felt like several pins poking through his skin. "Thalassa..." he tried to say, his voice heavy as he stepped forward.

"Just go away, Kris. You're not needed here." Now that Thalassa had taken his side, Zeke felt confident again and stepped forward, hissing, "You heard her. Get out of here, or I will throw you out myself.” He had the audacity to push Kris on the chest. Kris furiously shoved him back.

"Don't fucking lay your hand onagain," he warned.

"Or what? What are you going to do, huh?" Zeke challenged, but before things could escalate, another voice cfrom behind them.

"Lassa, did you... did you throw my flowers into the trash? It was Clark, coming toward them with his messed-up flowers in his hand, hurt and confusion on his face. "What are you talking about?" Thalassa asked, raising a brow as she stared at the flowers in his hand.

"I sent these flowers for you, but I just noticed them in the trashcan." "Fuck," Zeke muttered under his breath. Now he knew that Thalassa wasn't going to let him off the hook.

Thalassa didn't need to be told what had happened. Facing Zeke with narrowed eyes, she said, "You had no right to do that." Zeke couldn't even deny it, his face reddening with embarrassment.

"Wait! It was this guy who threw my flowers into the trash? Who the fuck do you think you are?" Clark raged, but Thalassa held up her hand, subtly telling him that she could handle it.

She continued looking at Zeke, her eyes demanding answers. Zeke looked flustered and said the first excuse that cto his mind.

"I'm sorry, I did it because I thought he was bothering you.

Thalassa blinked in confusion. "Why would you think that?" Zeke's mind worked overtagain. "It's just that Luisa toldthe news circulating about your relationship with him was fake, and I assumed that the pictures were taken because he wouldn't leave you alone." Behind them, Luisa glared at her brother, not believing he was throwing her under the bus after she had clearly told him that Thalassa wasn't going to like what he was doing.

"You assumed?" Clark huffed. "Who are you, anyway? What makes you think you have any right to assanything about Thalassa's life, let alone take action on her behalf?" "No matter what you assumed, you shouldn't have done what you did, at least without informingfirst,' Thalassa chastised.

The joy Kris felt at hearing there was nothing between Thalassa and Clark knew no bounds, but at the stime, his chest tightened with bitterness. She hadn't told Zeke off when he informed her that Zeke had sent his flowers away, yet here she was, reprimanding Zeke because of Clark's flowers.

"You didn't say anything to him when he sent my flowers away," he couldn't help but say.

Immediately, Clark's face contorted with fury as he gave Kris an incredulous look. "You brought her flowers? What the fuck, dude? Aren't you ashamed of yourself after everything you and your family have put her through?"

Thalassa rubbed her temples, already feeling a headache coming on. By now, their voices had risen so much that the few models and other employees on that floor had stepped out to take a peek at what was going on. "Don't speak about what you know nothing about!" Kris snarled.

Clark scoffed. "I know enough to know that Thalassa gave you all her love and trust, only for you to trample all over it." "Exactly," Kris added. "So you have no right sending her any flowers." "No one asked for your opinion," both Clark and Kris hissed.

The three men stood glaring at each other, their breathing heavy, looking like they were ready to start throwing punches until Thalassa couldn't take it anymore.

"Enough!" she yelled, her breathing ragged with irritation. 'Don't talk aboutlike I'm not standing right here.
