The Black Swan's Final Revenge Pirouette: The 99th Game Was Mine All Along by Kylie Homme
Chapter 38Chapter 38
Years had passed, and | was certain that he must have forgotten an ugly pig forced on him.
Sure enough, he appeared puzzled to hear my gratitude at first. But then, he returned to his arrogant self in no
time, like it was nothing..
| sneered in my heart. “Complete oblivion? Even better!”
Stretching my lips in a professional smile, | stared at him coldly with no intention of showing any sign of being
affected by his bossy aura.
Not long ago, | had publicly refused to sign with Leo at the airport. And now, here he was, with my daughter. One
glance on his face, and it was evident that he was pissed off beyond
words due to this humiliation.
| could clearly remember his monstrous anger, the familiar expression of his pent-up fury had painted his face
red. But still, he appeared nonchalant, asserting his dominance with his skill of matching his opponent’s energy.
He returned my expressions and spoke; his indifferent eyes were fixed on me.
“Ma’am you are overthinking. Your daughter insisted on coming hwith my son to play
hockey.”
What?
He had a son too?
My Jane's energetic response to my phone call resounded in my head as a little boy emerged from behind Leo,
halting my thought process.
His innocent green eyes, brown hair, and fair complexion made him look like the male of
my younger self; he bore a striking resemblance to me.
The people around us noticed this as well, their eyes darting between our faces. Before | could decipher Leo's
reaction to this similarity, that little boy spoke, he was visibly upset.

His adorable pout melted my heart; however, my Jane looked bored, paying no attention to his tantrum. She
yawned and then replied to him.
“No, | don’t beat weaklings. Let your dad play withinstead.”
Jane's statement riveted that boy to his spot, and after a few seconds, he burst into tears, much to the shock of
onlookers.
Although Zoe, that little boy, was Jane’s competitor, she took out a handkerchief from her Barbie bag and offered
it to him.
“I apologize, please don’t cry!”
| patted Jane on the head. She was really a good girl. Zoe was receiving the handkerchief with thanks when a
hurried figure appeared before my sight, pushing Jane inside.
Zoe also stopped crying all of a sudden, looking at her bitterly as she questioned in her
shrill voice.
“What's with all this noise?”
The impatience, the hourglass figure and arrogance, she was none other than Melody.
| stood there frozen, enslaved by the dark shadows of my naive era, but my Jane didn’t
endure Melody’s rudeness.
She retaliated with full might, and shoved her back, using the strength of her strong arms.
For a four years old kid, Jane was way stronger because she was an athlete, practicing ice hockey had increased
her upper body strength.
As expected, Melody didn’t consider my Jane a threat and nearly toppled over by the impact. of push. It was a
sight to watch her dumbstruck face.
My heart swelled with pride to see my daughter's courageous side. Indeed, | had raised her
right.
When Jane was born, | swore to myself that she wouldn't be a weakling like me, no one would dare to wrong her
ever. And now, she was able to defend herself, not scared of the armed guards around her.

Melody couldn't digest the taste of her own medicine, and stalked towards Jane dangerously, pointing her finger
at her.
“How dare you, brat? Don’t you have manners?
Well, that was it for my patience, as 1 didn’t give her permission to shout at my daughter.. Jane wasn’t that
stupid Laura, who would kiss her ass in the nof friendship.
Staring intently at Melody, 1 picked up my Jane she quickly encircled her arms around my neck. My guards also
sensed this tension and surrounded Melody, all set to teach her a
lesson if needed.
Melody’s eyes flickered with panic as her face becchalk-white. She glanced at Zoe and asked nervously.
“Who is she, Leo?”
As Zoe was just a kid, | spared him from the grown-ups’ feud and responded to Melody.
“lam Laura ...”

I smiled at her.
Melody’s lips parted in a silent scream as she took two steps backwards, not believing her ears. Her face took a
haunted look as if she had seen a ghost..
Well, | was indeed a ghost for her, as she had brutally murdered Laura Green. Relishing the multitude of
expressions flashing across her face, | deliberately complete my sentence after
a tic pause.
“Laura Becker! An hockey agent. Long tno see, Melody.”
Leo stared at me, his expression blank, eyes filled with a mix of shock and regret.
Satisfied by their hear- attack acting, | put my daughter down, and turned towards Leo, giving him a piece of
mind before leaving.
“Mr. Reed, you should keep your wife in check.
Leo grabbed my hand immediately, his eyes reddened, “You are so beautiful now, | almost

didn’t recognize you.”
| pushed his hand away in disgust and said coldly, “Then just assthat you have. recognized the wrong
person.”
Leo wanted to say something more, but was stopped, probably, by my cold expression.
Or rather, my completely new identity made then no longer dare to look down onas they did before.
As | spun on my heels to leave, | heard Zoe's cold voice from behind.
“She isn’t my mother!”
