Chapter 219
Pearl Island was located to the south of the hotel, about a 15–minute yacht ride.
The island is famous for its pearl farming, but there are a lot of untouched spots. Carl, who’s running
the show, explained the rules and rewards. “Let me talk about the rules and rewards for this adventure.
We’ve hidden treasure‘ in the forest, and whoever finds it gets the dough Now! know you all are big
shots and probably couldn’t care less about the money. We just want you all to participate more, so
please try to venture deep into the forest. There are a lot of wild animals in there, including snakes,
bugs, rats, and ants. We’ve got first aid kits for everyone, just in
case.”
After all, the folks here are the cream of the crop, not exactly enticed by the reward, but the prospect of
a treasure hunt gave them some. motivation. Correspondingly, Carl had to coax these people to avoid
accidents.

“We got it.”
“With so many of us, we’ll be fine.”
“This prize money is boring.”
“Yeah, like we need the money.”
“Sir, take a first aid kit. There are a lot of wild animals in the forest.”
One of the toffs glanced and said, “We won’t need it. We’ll be okay.” After that, he and his buddies
strutted off into the deeper parts of the forest.
“Sir, don’t wander too deep. When you see the protective netting, turn back.”
The trip was planned for seven days.
So, not a lot of people turned up today. Many were still hungover from last night’s partying and gaming.
Allison reached Pearl Island at 11 AM. She was among the last batch, and anyone arriving later than
this probably wouldn’t appear.
After disembarking, she picked up her first aid kit as instructed.
A girl approached her and asked, “Are you really going to carry this on your back? So heavy, how are
you going to walk?”
“It’s not that bad, considering it could be a lifesaver,” Allison replied, “I’d suggest you carry it too. Even
a mosquito bite can be itchy, and with all the dampness here, there’s bound to be lots of snakes and
bugs.”
The girl, who’d explained the rules to her on the beach last night, wasn’t as cynical as the others and
seemed rather mild and well–behaved. She nodded at Allison, “You’re right. It’d be a real pain if we got
bitten.”
After they’d packed their first aid kits, the girl introduced herself, “I’m Aurora.”
“I’m Allison.”
“I know your name.”
Allison unfolded a map and studied it closely.

Aurora asked, “Are you waiting for Mr. Brummett? He headed south about ten minutes ago.”
Allison replied, “I’m going to check out the forest.”
Aurora offered, “I’ll go with you.”
“Sure.”
They walked a bit. The place wasn’t too shabby, though overgrown with weeds. Despite some human
intervention, most of it still had a raw, untouched vibe. The air was fresh, with a hint of damp soil. It was
a new ball game for city slickers used to the hustle and bustle.
Allison checked the map and decided to head east.
Aurora added,/Penelope didn’t come in. She’s pregnant and resting by the shore. Apparently, Luca also
headed this way.”
Hearing this, Allison stopped in her tracks.
She turned around, changed direction, and started heading west.
Aurora turned to Allison, “Aren’t you heading east?”
