Chapter 245 Informing Kismet's cooking was absolutely amazing, and the meal was a total feast. Ralph had heard Sabrina rave about Kismet's skills, but actually tasting the food left him speechless. "This is the best food I've ever had, hands down!" Allison handed him a piece of steak. "Stick around, and you can have it every day!" Ralph nodded, glancing around at the group gathered at the table. It reminded him of the Lewis family during the holidays, everyone happy and together. No wonder Sabrina wanted to cback.

Landon quietly placed food on Sabrina's plate, all her favorites. Ralph noticed this and could tell that Landon genuinely cared for Sabrina.

After dinner, everyone headed back to Serenity Manor to unwind. Sabrina brought out gifts for everyone, making Elsa ecstatic.

"I can't just take gifts without giving something back. Here, take this bracelet. It's a good one, so keep it safe, okay?" Elsa had already slipped the bracelet onto Sabrina's wrist. Even though Sabrina was young, she could tell the bracelet was valuable.

Sabrina said, "Mrs. Wells, this is too much. I can't accept it!" Elsa paused, then quickly said, "What Mrs. Wells? CallElsa. Allison callsElsa, so you should too!" Landon and Elsa exchanged a knowing glance. It seemed Elsa had figured things out.

Landon said, "It's a gift from my mom, so just take it. It's not that valuable. We have plenty of these at home, and my mother often breaks a couple by accident without a second thought. You don't need to feel pressured." Sabrina still felt uneasy, but before Allison could say anything, Ralph spoke up. "Just accept it. It's a gesture from an elder." "Yes, take it!" Elsa was overjoyed. With Sabrina accepting the bracelet, she felt more secure about her future daughter-in-law. Although Sabrina was young, Elsa thought it was fine. She herself had married George at a young age, and she had Landon when she was almost fifty.

She had thought she might never see Landon get married in her lifetime, but now he had found such a young girl. The more Elsa thought about it, the happier she became.

Ralph gave Landon a subtle look before standing up and brushing past him. "Can we talk?" Landon nodded and quickly followed him outside.

"What are your intentions with Sabrina?" Ralph asked directly, not liking to beat around the bush.

Landon answered seriously, "I want to marry her, to make her my partner." Ralph scoffed, "You must be kidding. How old are you, and how old is Sabrina? Mr. Wells, I know you're accomplished and cfrom a good family, but you're not suitable for my sister! And I remember you're not just a cop, but a special agent, an Interpol officer. Your job is dangerous. How can you guarantee my sister a stable life?" Just a heads up: is the only place to read the complete version of this book for free. In Novaria, girls had to be twenty to get married, and Sabrina was just about to turn seventeen in a month. The future was still far off for them."We've got three years to figure things out. That's plenty of tfor her to see who I really am. If Sabrina decides I'm not the one, I'll step aside. My job's not changing anytsoon, but for Sabrina, I'll do everything I can to stay safe and keep her from worrying." Landon's words felt a bit hollow because he knew he couldn't make any promises when it cto his missions.

"Alright, we'll give you three years. The Lewis family has done their homework on you. You're the only son of the Wells family and their future heir. You've had a pretty cushy life. Maybe Sabrina is your first real challenge. Everyone has to make sacrifices for what they love." Ralph's words hit hfor Landon. He thought of Alexander, who had nearly lost his life pursuing Allison. Suddenly, things becclearer.

Landon promised, "Mr. Lewis, you have my word. I won't let Sabrina or her family down. Even if it costsmy life, I won't let anything happen to her." "Remember that promise." Ralph turned and headed back to Serenity Manor. Landon finally exhaled, realizing his back was drenched in cold sweat from the tension.

When Alexander returned, it was already late at night. After a two-hour flight and a forty-five-minute drive from the airport, he was anxious the whole way. Instead of calling Allison, he looked through Ralph's information.

In the files, Alexander found a photo, the only one Ralph had posted on social media. It showed two people from behind: Ralph and a short-haired girl. Even from the back, Alexander could tell it was Allison.

Clutching his phone, Alexander headed straight to Serenity Manor. He and Allison lived in the scompound. When he saw the light on in the study, he walked in, only to witness a heartbreaking scene.

Ralph said, "That line is too straight. It could be softer, which would look better." Allison nodded, not realizing that Ralph had her almost completely encircled in his arms.

"Allison?" At Alexander's voice, Allison looked up, her face lighting up with Shen joy. "Alexander, you're back!" She not, jumped up and ran to him, wrapping her arms around his neck.

Alexander's stern expression softened as he kissed her forehead.

Alexander asked, "Did you miss me?"

"Yes, I did. You said you'd be back tomorrow. Why are you here tonight?" Allison leaned onAlexander's shoulder. He smiled and then looked meaningfully at Ralph, who was glaring at him as if he wanted to eat him alive. Alexander, however, just put his arm around Allison's waist.

"I haven't eaten. Will you cwithto get something?" Hearing that Alexander hadn't eaten, Allison got worried and quickly took his hand. "Con, I'll take you to find Xavier. He'll make you something good!" Alexander didn't say anything, letting Allison lead him outside. Seeing her go to the kitchen to find food filled the emptiness in his heart.

"Here, eat up. I had Xavier make you spasta. The kitchen's closed, so this will have to do." Allison brought over two plates of pasta and stea.

"Stop running around. Sit withfor a bit." Alexander couldn't bear to see Allison so busy. He pulled her to sit down and handed her a box. "I saw this on the way. See if you like it." The will be updated first on this website. Cback and continue reading tomorrow, everyone!
