| even tried calling you, but you did not receive my call, Luke added, as I tried not looking in the direction where
Eros and Olivia were making out.
T'd thought | saw someone | know | gave him the half-truth.
However, he immediately grew alert. “You did? Where is he or she?”
| shook my head. “It wasn’t the person | thought him to be, so don’t bother,
Luke gavea look of concern but then just shrugged “Well, as far as you are okay, | don’t mind.”
He looked at my drink, which was still untouched. “Okay, you can decide not to drink. Besides, you've been
holding it for almost an hour without taking a sip. You don’t have to
He added with a laugh, but | looked at the drink and gulped it down in one go. Luke threwa stunned look.
“Woah, what has gotten into you?” He asked, but | only smiled at him.
You wantedto loosen up a little, right? And that is what I'm doing! I'm loosening up,” | said, and from his
mask | saw how confused he was by the sudden change in my behavior.
| was too, but didn’t care at this point. | simply wanted to forget Eros tonight
| made a face and looked at the glass. This drink was so boring. Let us drink something nice
Luke furrowed his eyebrows, “You toldyou don’t drink, girl
| nodded my head. “Change of plans, let us drink something stronger”
Saying so. | grabbed his hand and began dragging him towards the drinks counter. After reaching it, | pushed
myself up on
the stool and looked at the bartender.
“How may | help you, miss?” The bartender asked, and | smiled at him, “Knockoff
The bartender gavea devious smile and began preparing the drink. | watched in excitement as he threw the
shaker up in the air, caught it in his hand, and then poured it into the glass along with scubes of ice.
“There you go” He said, and | took the glass in my hand.
“Hey, stop” Luke spoke, but | closed my eyes, held my nose with my index finger and thumb, and downed it in
one go.
The drink sent a tingling sensation straight up my head, makingfeel warm and fuzzy.
“Again!” | slammed my hand on the table and the bartender smiled. “Are you sure, Miss?”

But for sreason, | was insistent. “No, cdance with me, und get your friend here too. We all can dance”
| said, going towards the dancing crowd, letting go of my hold over his hand.
Just then the Dj changed the music to a fast brat, and 1 began to dance as if nobody was watching. The drinks
madefeel light-headed and the pain in my leg was long gone.
My whole body felt as if it was made of air and that | was floating, drifting to sdreamland. All around me,

wasted, but my body reacted to his touch.
His hands pulledclose, and | went into his embrace like a moth to a flame. The other guy tried to dance with
The guy joined his friends in dancing while the blue eyed man placed his hands on my waist.
“Do | know you?” | asked as one of his hands rested on my waist while the other traveled down my elbow to
intertwine his fingers with mine.
Not completely, He answered and his voice did things to me, odd, delicious things.
His touch ignited something primal inside ofand I let him twirl and turnas he took control of the dance
and of everything else.
The entire bar and my worries disappeared into thin air as | danced with this sexy hunk. | was reminded of my
dance with Eros at the ball a few days ago, when he had danced within a slow tune.

And then something erupted within me. I looked at him, really looked at him, and it was as if a switch was turned
on.
“Eros, | breathed as he slammed my body soul.
He neither denied that nnor agreed to be him. But | saw the blue eyes boring into my soul. He raised my
hand and twirled me, makingspin at a dizzying speed.
The lights aroundlooked blurry, everything looked hazy, as the music suddenly sounded dull against the
sound of my raging heartbeat.

the scent, at what his body was doing to me, and wanted to claw his clothes out. And | must have tried ripping
his shirt apart, for he swiftly took hold of my hands and put them away from his shirt.
“Not now, you still have to finish your job”
| blinked. Job? What job?
We were dancing, and he had yet to touchanywhere except my waist. Why was that?
Feeling annoyed, 1 tried to shake off his hold, but he maintained an iron grip on me. He lowered his face as heat
rushed to my cheeks when he brought his lips near my ears.
“Wh-what are you doing?” | asked as his breath tickled my skin, making the loose strands of hair brush against
my check. He pushed the strands away, tucking them behind my car, and whispered “Just reminding you that
you are mine, Eden..”
A shiver of pleasure rippled throughas he said those words way his lips brushed against my earlobe, making
