Chapter 549 Taking Dulcie to the Movies

After hanging up the phone, Casey heard her phone ringing again.

She picked it up and glanced at it, and her smile froze because the call was from her

father, Philip.

Not wanting to answer the call, she hung up directly.

But the phone kept ringing as if it had to be answered by her.

Casey was annoyed, so she reluctantly put the phone to her ear and asked, “What is it?”

“It’s me, your dad.” Philip’s voice on the phone was extremely awkward, and he still had

the air of a father.

“If you have something to say, just say it. I can hear it from your voice.” She didn’t want

to say anything to Philip now.

“What’s with your attitude? The older you get, the more disobedient you become. You

were so obedient when you were little.”

“When I was little, what I had was not obedience but foolishness. If I had known that you

were such an irresponsible man and had let down my mom, I would have left with my

mom a long time ago. Maybe my mom wouldn’t have ended up committing suicide.”

“You! How can you talk to your dad like that? Do you have any manners? You’re talking as

if I killed your

mom.”

Casey sneered. “Isn’t it true? If you hadn’t insisted on marrying that mistress and

divorcing my mom, why would she have committed suicide!”

“That’s because your mom couldn’t accept it. I told her Eleanor was pregnant, so I had to

marry her. I couldn’t just let her get an abortion. Besides, your mom and I divided our

assets equally, and we would. still raise you together. But she just couldn’t accept the

reality. How can you blame me for that?”

Philip felt wronged and didn’t think it was his fault at all.

Casey hung up the phone directly, feeling that she could no longer communicate with her

father.

Anyway, her mother had given her all the shares, and if that vixen Eleanor dared to have

any ideas about her shares, she would soon instigate her father to come and find her.

Therefore, she simply stayed away. Since she couldn’t avoid it, she could just stay away

from them.

At night, Symeon exited the study, and Dulcie pestered him to go out and play. She had

been cooped up at home all day and was going crazy.

Daddy, I want to go out and play. Can you and Miss Casey take me out? I want to watch

the PAW Patrol movie. Many kids from kindergarten have already watched it, but I

haven’t.”

Symeon picked her up and said, “But it’s time for dinner. We’ll go after we eat, okay?”

“No, I want to finish the movie first. I’ll be a good girl and eat my dinner.” Dulcie’s sweet

voice sounded so cute that Symeon couldn’t resist. She was indeed her father’s little

sweetheart.

The man’s slender fingers gently brushed her little nose. “Alright. Let’s go watch a movie.

Let’s get changed.”

“Yay! Daddy, you’re the best. You’re so good!”

Dulcie got off the man and quickly ran upstairs to change clothes.

Meanwhile, Symeon watched her hurried figure and instructed, “Take your time, and don’t

rush. I’ll wait for you.”

After a few steps, Dulcie suddenly remembered something and turned back to pull Casey.

“Miss Casey, help me change into a dress. I want to wear a dress to watch the movie.

Hurry up.”

Casey instinctively looked at Symeon, and the man said in a deep voice, “You should come

too, just in case I can’t keep her under control later.”

Hearing that, Casey didn’t refuse and let Dulcie pull her upstairs.

Half an hour later.

Casey and Dulcie came downstairs after changing their clothes.

In the meantime, Symeon was sitting on the couch, feeling sleepy. He finally understood

why they say women take a long time to change clothes. It seemed to have started from

such a young age.

They took forever to change clothes.

Dulcie had changed into a beautiful pink princess dress, making her look as adorable as a

porcelain doll.

“Daddy, is this dress pretty? Miss Casey says I look like a princess.” Dulcie smiled shyly,

looking extremely

cute.

A smile appeared on Symeon’s lips. “Yes, you are very beautiful. Let’s go.”

Dulcie instantly skipped outside, no longer resembling a little princess from earlier.

Chuckling, the man followed behind his daughter while Casey looked at the pair, feeling a

sense of admiration. She couldn’t believe she had such a cute daughter with this man.

Dulcie lived up to her name, sweet and adorable. When she smiled, she looked like a little

angel and melted people’s hearts.

Her skin was quite similar to hers, fair and white, but her eyes resembled Symeon’s while

her nose resembled hers…

When they arrived at the cinema, they discovered the cinema was filled with parents and

their children.

It was truly a children’s show.

Dulcie giggled, holding hands with Casey and Symeon, swinging her little hand back and

forth, seeming incredibly cute.

After they bought cola and popcorn, Dulcie wanted to take a sip, but Symeon warned her

with a glance, causing her to retract her little hand in fear.

Daddy, I want to drink cola too.”

“You can’t drink that. It’s too cold. Have this warm orange juice instead.” Symeon handed

it to her.

Dulcie pouted and looked at Casey with a pitiful expression. “Miss Casey, I want to drink

cola…”

“No, you can’t. Don’t you remember your upset stomach? It’s only been a few days. Can

you wait a little longer before drinking it?” Casey patiently reasoned with Dulcie.

The man watched the interaction between the mother and daughter, and for a moment,

he seemed to have fallen into a trance. It was as if he already had a wife and daughter;

the three of them were a happy family.

But he quickly dismissed that thought.

He always believed that Casey was not worthy of raising Dulcie and that she was not a

qualified mother.

After entering the hall, Dulcie watched the movie attentively from beginning to end,

laughing uncontrollably.

Symeon and Casey couldn’t get into such a childish animated film, but they still

accompanied Dulcie and watched the whole thing.

It was already 9 p.m. when the movie ended, so they could only find a restaurant to have

dinner.

Dulcie had been complaining about being hungry and was even starting to throw a

tantrum.

But Symeon was actually somewhat happy because at least Dulcie could now be herself in

front of him and dared to express her emotions. That meant she was slowly accepting him

as her father.

Once they entered the restaurant, Symeon carried Dulcie and chose a seat by the window.

Casey was about to sit down when she noticed a familiar face in the establishment.

Isn’t that Eleanor?

Upon closer inspection, she realized that Eleanor was dining there with Peter, but the man

sitting across from her was not her father, Philip.

Casey furrowed her brow, eager to identify the man, but the crowded restaurant made it

impossible to get a clear view.

She observed Eleanor engaging in lively conversation with the man while Peter happily

enjoyed his meal beside them.

It appeared Peter was quite acquainted with this man.

That was something peculiar to Casey because Eleanor didn’t have many friends in

Cludan, so why would she bring Peter out for a meal with a stranger?

Could this man be the person Eleanor is having an affair with? Is she cheating on Philip?
