198 This one has trouble written all over his face
This project was shelved but now it was being used by the enemy against them. No one knew how on earth they got their hands on those project plans despite it being extremely confidential that it even took the Marshal a long time to figure it out.
Marshal Yi had his people chart a course that would be less damaging to the warship and keep injuries at a minimum. After countless possible routes the team had just come up with a way to reach Dark Star but who would have thought when he presented the mission information the prime minister would request that the training exercise be moved to Dark Star?
After convincing all the prime ministers they voted on it forcing Marshal Yi’s hand. Because of the sensitivity of this information, he couldn’t disclose it but who would have thought he would offend Zi Feiji at the same time? Marshal Yi could only rub his temples in frustration.
While everyone was stressed Zi Han was looking around for Yi Chen but after looking for a while he still couldn’t find him. He raised his wrist and was about to tap his light brain and ask where he was.
It was then he remembered that he had handed over his light brain upon entry. Now he was starting to see what his grandfather was talking about. It was very inconvenient.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAt least he wasn’t alone for a very long time. When he raised his head he found Evan and his pet Crvena standing in front of him with two other guys.
“You were waiting for us?” asked Crvena with a gloating expression. He loved seeing Zi Han’s expression when he found out that he had indeed been placed under Evan’s team. That unadulterated look of utter shock was a rarity on its own. He enjoyed every minute of it.
Zi Han gave a short half suppressed laugh before responding, “No but it’s interesting how you keep wearing that smug look on your face all the time. Was this the first time you had won against someone?..... Because I can tell.”
Crvena’s expression went from a scornful look to a downturn arch in a split second.
.....
He knew how Evan felt about Zi Han and as a good brother he should truly be working hard to unite them but AAAHHHHH, Zi Han always got on his nerve for some reason. He was like a thorn constantly poking at his sore spot. This meant half the time he couldn’t control his expressions and tone around Zi Han.
Crvena swallowed back his irritation and said, “We are having a team strategy meeting and your presence is highly requested.”
To be honest Zi Han didn’t want to be anywhere near these people longer than he had to. It felt forced like he didn’t belong there. A professional and dedicated soon to be soldier of the Military would probably not hesitate to join them but Zi Han was of a different breed.
“What team strategy when you don’t even know the mission? The captain should lead the team however he sees fit after we know the task. Until then I will be here minding my own business.”
Zi Han expected Evan to blow up but the man was staring at him smiling like he was looking at something amusing. At this moment he cursed whoever came up with this stupid list. He greeted their entire ancestral line grandchildren included. Hehe... if only he knew he had cursed at Yi Chen as well. He would probably offer a sacrifice to a god that he didn’t believe in to take back his words.
“I understand, let’s go,” said Evan with an infectious smile on his face, “I will call you over once the mission is out.”
“Attention to all trainees, please proceed to your designated sheath cruiser for take off. Any personnel missing this transport will be granted an automatic fail... Attention all trainees....,” was the sound of the automated voice giving out instructions on the platform.
Zi Han bid them farewell looking for the stealth cruiser he was meant to board. Lucky for him the heavens were smiling at him because he found his people sitting in their seats already. It seemed he was the last one to board.
The only person missing though was Yi Chen. It seemed like he was either in another stealth cruiser or he had already boarded the Warship.

“I fought with a dog that’s what happened,” he said buckling himself up as his gaze glanced over in Crvena’s direction. They were sitting far apart but the maliciousness in Zi Han’s eyes was felt from a mile away.
The two made eye contact and the tension between them was so intense that the people around them could smell the gunpowder lingering in the air.
A little annoyed Evan nudged him with his elbow and said, “Let it go.”
Crvena scoffed as he looked away. “Why should I? He started it. By the way, why do you like him? I really don’t get it. There are plenty of soft squishy babes out there with so many curves and long tresses but you settle for him? Your aesthetics are truly special.”
Evan let out a light chuckle before saying, “You just won’t get it. Even Yi Chen is interested in him.... There is something very special about him.”
“Tsk, okay okay, don’t start confessing your feelings now. I get it. You like him so I will dial it down.... but at least you could have picked an obedient one. This one has trouble written all over his face.”
“And that’s what makes him special,” said Evan smiling at Zi Han.
Zi Han who had finished buckling his seat belt looked up and was met by Evan’s doting gaze. He didn’t know it before but after finding out about his preferences he sort of now understood that Evan was into him.
Immediately after realizing that he thanked the heavens that that kiss didn’t happen otherwise, he would regret it so much.
