Chapter 163
Eloise felt like she'd been fished out of water.
On this Christmas Eve, Harvey gave her an experience she's never had before, upending everything she knew.
The lights were blinding.
He kissed her, admiring the blush on her face.
"Eloise, you look so pretty right now. Wanna take a look?"
Eloise covered her eyes.
No, she didn't want to see, not at all!
But Harvey, being the prankster he is, picked her up, heading straight for the bathroom in the master bedroom.
Eloise bit into his shoulder, but it was useless.
He pressed her against the bathroom sink from behind, his arms around her waist, both of them reflected in the
mirror.
"Eloise, your face was even redder just now."
He whispered embarrassing words into her ear.
Eloise tried to escape, but he spun her back around!
He gently pinched her cheeks, lifting her face towards the mirror.
Eloise, of course, knew she must look a mess right now. Even though she was all
dolled up, his teasing had left her dishevelled...
Eloise knew he led a regular private life, but he was still part of that circle.
She suspected that he knew women better than the likes of Riley.
Did being a top-notch lawyer mean you excelled in all areas?
Closing her eyes, she pleaded, "Harvey, don't do this!"
He finally stopped.
He still held her, appreciating her reflection, gently fixing her dress. Then he couldn't help but say, "Stay tonight!
We won't do anything, just spend Christmas together."
Usually, they'd spend Christmas Eve with their families.
So he wanted to spend sextra twith her tonight.
Eloise slowly calmed down. She opened her eyes, her ears red.
This night felt like the first thaw of winter for her. The romantic things he did, no woman could resist.

Eloise didn't want things to move too fast. She hesitated, then softly said, "I should go home!"
Harvey was disappointed, but he respected her wish. He just murmured, "Stay a bit longer, Eloise... | want you
with me."
By "with me", he meant something that would make hearts flutter.
When she left, the blush on her face had spread down her neck.
She had a feeling that the games Harvey had played with her when they lived together were child's play. He'd
never really pulled out the big guns.
Late at night, his luxury car slowly rolled into Eloise's neighborhood.
After parking, Harvey checked the time, "It's already 3 AM, can | stay over?"
Eloise shook her head.
Harvey didn't let her out of the car, but held her there.
This kind of embrace was the most heartwarming.
After a while...
Eloise leaned on his shoulder, whispering, "Harvey, | need to go home."
Harvey looked at her, his gaze deep and filled with anticipation, "After Christmas, move back in with me, okay?"
Eloise was surprised.
She sat up in his arms.
She knew the mood tonight was too intimate, leading him to make such a request. She couldn't blhim.
She hadn't made her feelings clear.
Eloise ran her fingers through her hair, pondering for a moment before saying, "Harvey, aren't we good the way
we are?"
Harvey frowned.
He was used to being adored and pursued, but this was the first the was pursuing a woman so fervently.
Besides, he'd already been very gentle tonight.
He'd done all those things!
He straightened up, his hand on the steering wheel.
"Eloise, | want a serious relationship."
Eloise was silent.
She couldn't fully trust him, and even though Joan was married, she still felt uneasy.
Her decision to protect herself wasn't wrong.
Harvey's temper flared, his tone less friendly.
"Eloise, are you trying to dine and dash after enjoying my company? You weren't
this cold when | was nice to you!" He cupped her face, asking, "Needto remind you?"
Eloise pushed his hand away.
She wasn't scared of him, but she blushed, "You offered! But | didn't ask for it!"
Harvey stared at her with his deep gaze.
Seeing that this conversation wasn't going anywhere good, Eloise tried to exit the car, but he grabbed her hand.
She was pulled back into his embrace.
Harvey's lips brushed her ear, apologizing quietly, "I'm sorry! | was too impatient! Eloise...| seriously want to be
with you, and not just in a physical way."
He didn't really want to get married yet, but Eloise did.
He wanted to try living together again, and if it went well, they'd get married.
Eloise was perfect for him.
He didn't want to miss her.
Eloise was still upset over his harsh words, and wanted to leave the car.
But Harvey held her tight, not letting her go.
Finally, he held her head, chuckling lightly, "Enjoyed yourself and now you're ignoring me?"
A vein popped on Eloise's forehead in her anger, making her look somewhat cute. Harvey couldn't help but kiss
her.
No matter how much she struggled, he wouldn't let her out of the car.
He spent the night in the car with her.
Eloise was somewhat thrilled.
But she also felt a bit hopeless. She couldn't resist Harvey's charm. If he put in
even a little bit of effort, she'd completely surrender.
That being said, she didn't want to agree to him easily!
As dawn broke, Eloise woke up in Harvey's arms.
His phone kept ringing, but Harvey seemed too tired to wake up.
Eloise nudged him, "Your phone."
Harvey woke up.
His sly eyes watched her, then he pulled her face close for a kiss.

"You have...a call!"
Eloise was gasping for breath.
Harvey laughed and let her go.
He was about to answer the phone, but upon seeing the caller ID, his face fell
slightly, and he hung up.
Eloise understood after her initial surprise.
It was Joan's call.
She said nothing and tried to leave the car, but Harvey pulled her back in, holding
her tight.
"Eloise, there's nothing between us! She's married!"
Eloise gave a soft acknowledgment.
Britain, London.
Joan, in a sexy lace nightgown, sat in her living room.
From downstairs, the servants’ quarters, cthe giggles and whispers of a man
and woman, with an unmistakable hint of intimacy.
That was her husband, messing around with the maid. She chose to turn a blind
eye because she didn't give a damn about him!
At this moment, Joan's eyes were icy cold.
She was staring intently at a letter in her hand.
The letter was mailed from Peterborough. A successful jeweler, after treatment,
had temporarily regained consciousness and sent the information Griffin had been dying to know in a letter.
Griffin had been on a wild goose chase for his biological child!
And the jeweler had found a lead.
Included in the letter was a photo, a photo all too familiar to Joan...
It was Eloise in the picture!
Eloise was Griffin's real daughter!
No way!
How could Eloise possibly snatch away everything that belonged to her?
With a deranged look on her face, a cold smirk tugged at the corner of Joan's lips. She tore that letter to shreds!
