Chapter 125
Eloise bit her lip gently.
How shameless he was! But at the stime, she felt a deep sadness. Neither she nor Joan had ever truly
mattered to Harvey.
He was only interested in her body.
He hadn't had enough of her, so he was willing to pretend to be nice to her.
As for Joan, he looked down on her, even despised her, but he still gave her a glimmer of hope, like a cat toying
with a mouse.
With this realization, Eloise regained her composure.
She calmly said, "We'll talk when you get back."
Harvey stared at her retreating figure for a moment, then walked out.
Joan was waiting at the door, her face pale.
She had seen it all.
She saw Harvey sweet-talking Eloise, his indifference masking his concern for her. She used to think she was the
only one who had that privilege, but seeing it firsthand made her realize that her place in Harvey's heart had
been subtly replaced by another woman.
Joan was not willing to accept this.
She softly said, "Cover for a drink, okay?"
Harvey didn't respond directly. Not until getting into the car he said, "Joan, you've been chasing afterlately, |
won't deny that it's a thrill for any man, but we both know it's just child's play, no big deal."
Joan's face turned pale in an instant.
Harvey lit a cigarette, taking his time.
He slowly exhaled a smoke ring, looking at Joan.
"The past is in the past, and there's no way I'm going to have anything more to do with you. Despite our
breakup, Griffin and | are still good pals. Joan, stop making a scene."
Joan's lips trembled, "Is it because of Eloise? Have you fallen for her?"
Harvey didn't respond. He had no obligation to explain his private life to Joan.
Joan fell silent for a long time, then chuckled softly. "Harvey, | wish you well."
Eloise thought Harvey might not chall night. After all, he was meeting his old flame, and Joan had
specifically sought him out for that purpose.
But surprisingly, Harvey was back by one in the morning.

Eloise was already in bed.
He removed his coat, embraced her from behind, and gently nibbled on her neck.
His hand reached for her body.
Eloise let out a soft cry.
Harvey's voice was low, "Feeling better?"
Eloise grabbed his hand, stopping him from going further.
"It still hurts a bit."
Harvey had not touched a woman in a long time, and although he had had his fill that night, his youthful vigor
made him crave a woman's touch every night.
He couldn't resist the urge to kiss her.
Eloise was resistant, turning her head away from his kiss, mumbling incoherently, "Harvey... I'm sleepy... don't do
this. Harvey, | don't want to!"
When she finally told the truth, Harvey raised one arm and looked down at her. He knew what she was bothered
about!
His eyes were deep. He stared at her, unable to resist rubbing his nose against her face gently.
"Eloise, | haven't touched her. Not in the past, not now."
Eloise was hit right in the feels, she felt both embarrassed and angry, and turned
her face away, "How would | know if it's true?"
Harvey was in a good mood tonight.
He gently bit her nose, soft and adorable...
His voice was full of mischievous charm, "I can prove it, Ms. Laurent, wanna give
it a try?"
Before his words could sink in, he was guiding her hand towards him.
Eloise let out a small squeal and struggled lightly.
The more she resisted, the more it excited him, driving his desire.
He teased her, "Do you understand now? | have no lingering feelings for other
women. I'm all yours, when you're ready, letknow... okay?"
Eloise felt so bullied she was on the verge of tears.
Her nose was red, very cute...
Harvey leaned in close to her ear, his voice husky as he made a shameless request.
Eloise was unwilling, but his assertiveness scared her, and in the end, she reluctantly agreed.
Just then, his phone rang.
Although the caller ID was unknown, Eloise guessed it was Joan.
She turned around and whispered, "Answer your phone!"
Harvey glanced at it, hung up the call, and turned off his phone.
He didn't tease her anymore, just held her from behind.
"From now on, | won't see her anymore, can we go back to how we were before?"
Eloise didn't respond.
But his behavior tonight was excellent, and combined with her inner feelings for him, his appeasement naturally
touched her.
She tried to keep her cool, not responding to him.
But when he teased her again, she didn't refuse...
After a while, Eloise becvery busy.
Her relationship with Harvey was hanging in the balance, he rarely went out for social engagements, and if he
didn't chome, it was because he was working overtat the office.
And Joan... she seemed to have disappeared from their lives...
Eloise was cold towards him.
The night before, he had made a request, and Eloise did not push him away. She allowed him to do as he
pleased, and she was always passive in bed.
Harvey only made her satisfy him once.
Afterwards, he leaned against the headboard smoking, not saying a word.
But his gaze was deep, and Eloise felt trapped.
Their intimacy had changed since Joan's return...
On the other hand.
Encore Soundworks was about to open, and Eloise received many gifts. Various
gift boxes were piled up on her desk.
Eloise opened them one by one, keeping a record. She would have to return the favors later.
When she got to a golden box, Eloise noticed the familiar handwriting on the outside.

Upon closer inspection, it was a gift from Harvey.
Eloise was a bit surprised that he would send a gift to Encore Soundworks, but it
was a pleasant surprise. No woman could resist a surprise.
She carefully unwrapped the package.
She thought he would send expensive jewelry, but surprisingly, it was a pair of thousand-year-old butterfly
specimens.
The two butterflies had noticeably different sizes.
One male, one female.
The vibrant colors and lifelike poses were excellently preserved, and very
valuable.
Harvey also included a note.
Eloise carefully opened it, there was only one sentence on the card: To My
Beloved.
Eloise, a young woman, was wary and somewhat disappointed with him, but no
woman could resist such presents and sweet talk.
She gently stroked the gift, her guard quietly crumbling within.
Just then, her phone rang. It was Harvey.
Eloise hesitated slightly before picking up.
Harvey's voice cthrough, gentle as ever, "Did you get the gift? Do you like it?"
Eloise responded softly.
She said, "This is a butterfly from the Ice Age in South Africa, the last pair in existence today. Harvey, how did
you know | was into this back in high school?"
Harvey just chuckled.
Sitting in his office, he casually spun in his leather chair.
He didn't answer her question, he just spoke softly, "How about dinner at the
apartment tonight? The servant sent over sfood, and we could open a bottle of wine."
Eloise wasn't sinnocent little girl.
This kind of invite from Harvey was obviously him trying to take their relationship a step further, and he was
expecting her to play along...
