Chapter 104
Stepping out of the concert hall, Eloise still felt a twinge of regret.
Blake tugged on Eloise's hand and whined, "Ms. Laurent, I'm starving." So, Eloise took Blake to a nearby
restaurant she was very familiar with.
At 14, Blake seldom had such outings and couldn't contain his excitement.
However, as they entered the restaurant, Eloise was taken aback to see Harvey there.
Harvey was dining with an elegant lady, whom Eloise had seen before at another restaurant, with Harvey at her
side.
This sparked suspicion in Eloise's mind.
Harvey had claimed he'd be working late tonight. So, this was his version of 'working late."
A few documents were neatly arranged on their dining table.
Harvey was savoring a glass of brandy with a content smile on his face. He seemed quite pleased.
So did the lady, her voice silky and flirtatious as she said, "Harvey, I'm looking forward to our next collaboration."

This lady was the widow of a rich businessman from Sydney. Her husband had died suddenly, leaving a massive
fortune behind. Harvey was the lawyer handling her case. Their relationship was not as intimate as she made it
sound.
Just as Harvey was about to speak, he spotted Eloise.
Eloise was sitting nearby with a kiddo, Blake.
Had Eloise and Blake been to a concert?
Apparently, Harvey was lost in his thoughts, then the lady called out, "Harvey?"
Harvey nodded and said, "Excusefor a moment."
He got up and walked over to Eloise and Blake, whispering, "What brings you guys here?"
Glancing at the menu, Eloise replied softly, "Felt like a change of pace."
Those words felt a bit sharp.
Harvey tapped the table and whispered defensively, "She's a client."
Eloise glanced at the woman, who was now eyeing Eloise with a hint of hostility.
Eloise wasn't naive. She'd heard the lady refer to him as "Harvey."
She suspected there was more to their relationship than just business. And Harvey was well aware of her
intentions. Otherwise, they wouldn't be discussing work in a place like this.
Eloise averted her gaze and started to order for Blake.
Harvey blocked her view, a rare act of rudeness in public.
Eloise remained calm, whispering, "Don't scare the kid."
Harvey glanced at Blake.
Blake was staring wide-eyed at him. Speechless, Harvey looked back at Eloise.
Eloise was coolly ordering, looking perfectly composed.
Harvey whispered, "We'll talk about this at home." Then, he gracefully returned to his seat.
The lady watched Harvey, asking somewhat awkwardly, "Harvey, are they your friends?"
Harvey took a sip of his brandy and calmly replied, "They are my wife and daughter."

The lady was taken aback.
Harvey was only 30, and he already had a wife and daughter. And their ages didn't seem to add up!
Harvey didn't want to get entangled with her, so he firmly rebuffed her advances. If he hadn't run into Eloise, he
would probably have been more diplomatic, considering the commission on this deal was a staggering 1.2 billion
dollars.
The lady was prideful and realized Harvey was not interested in her.
So, she ended the meal prematurely and said her goodbyes.
Harvey escorted her to her car, shaking hands and saying, "Lilian, goodbye."
Leaning against the car door, she looked slightly resentful, "Such a pity; you have married so young."
Harvey gave a polite smile and gracefully opened the car door for her.
She reluctantly got into the car.
Just as Harvey was about to return to the restaurant, a Range Rover abruptly pulled up in front of him.
The car door opened, and Landon stepped out.
