Chapter 95 They were almost running late when they hopped in the car.
Sitting next to Harvey, Eloise couldn't bear to look directly at him. She couldn't help but wonder how long he had been flying solo that he had such little self- control.
He seemed to want to do that thing all the time.
Perhaps guessing what she was thinking, Harvey pulled over.

"What do you think?" Eloise didn't want to guess. She looked out the car window, her cheeks flushed, trying to hide her thoughts. Harvey gently stroked her soft cheek and chuckled, "I'm not as messed up as you think. I don't have any other women around. I'm too busy with work to chase after women." Eloise blushed.
He was so shameless! If he wasn't chasing women, then what the heck had he been doing these past few days? Harvey leaned in close to her ear and teased, "Ms. Laurent, you're always so impatient. Who's chasing whom here?" Eloise was so embarrassed. She couldn't stand his teasing and decided to give him the silent treatment. However, at the party, she was very respectful to Harvey.
Harvey was quite well-known and influential in Peterborough. As soon as he entered the party hall, he was surrounded by a crowd. Everyone was amazed by Harvey's companion.
Recently, they had all heard the rumors that Horigan was smitten with a woman, and everyone was curious to see her. The woman was indeed beautiful, with soft, tender eyes that easily drew people's sympathy.
While Harvey chatted with people, Eloise stood clinging to his arm, wisely not interrupting him. Worried that she might get bored, Harvey intended to take her to grab sfood and sit for a while. "Brother." A soft voice rang out. It was Orlena, accompanied by Max.
Seeing Max, Eloise tensed slightly. She hadn't expected to see him here.
Harvey noticed her reaction. He glanced at her, then smiled faintly at Orlena and said, "I didn't think you'd come." Orlena leaned coquettishly against Max, whining, "Max wanted to see Griffin, so I brought him." She toyed with the buttons on Max's shirt, complaining, "You never seemed so reverent towards art before." Even though Max was constantly appeasing her, his eyes never left Eloise.
Harvey chuckled coldly. He knew exactly why Max was here. He was itching to see Eloise, wasn't he? Sometimes, he really admired Max. For years, he hadn't wanted to really be with Eloise. But now that someone else was pursuing her, he was acting all lovesick.
What an idiot! Fortunately, Griffin arrived at that point. Dressed in a sleek black tuxedo, he looked dashing and youthful due to his well-preserved looks.

Harvey nodded politely, then introduced Eloise. "This is my girlfriend, Eloise Laurent she's been e learning piand since she was a child and has always admired you. When she heard about your party, she insisted on coming." Eloise? Griffin was taken aback slightly.
The nreminded him of the past when he was just a poor young man in his twenties. His girlfriend, Louise Noland, was a rich girl. They spent a year together in a small house. They were in love, but due to a misunderstanding, he let her leave. After he got married, he found out she had been pregnant. Regretting his decision, he began searching for her frantically.
However, he never heard from her again. The Noland family in om Peterborough had no idea where she was and ssaid she was driven away because she was pregnant out of wedlock. "Griffin?" Harvey's voice was a bit hoarse.
Snapping back from his memories, Griffin chuckled, "Ms. Laurent's nremindsof an old friend. If she had a child, they would be around the sage as Ms. Laurent." He said this with a hint of sadness in his eyes.
Eloise speculated that Griffin must have had a deep romance in the past. His old friend was probably his lover; the unknown child could be Griffin's biological child.
