Chapter 133 Death Sentence
Han Yuan rushed to Qin Chen's side, helping him stand. However, his expression conveyed a mix of anger and disappointment.
"What have you done?! Didn't I warn you not to be impulsive?" he scolded, his voice laden with frustration.
Qin Chen's hatred for Long Tian remained unwavering. "He's a bastard, Elder Han. I swear I'll kill him!" he declared, attempting to lunge at Long Tian.
But Han Yuan restrained him. He slapped Qin Chen firmly across the face.
Slap!
"Are you still not aware of the consequences?! Your rash actions have put you in deep trouble!" Han Yuan shouted, his frustration and disappointment palpable.
Qin Chen fell silent, his eyes still burning with anger and heartache. The pain of seeing his beloved taken away by someone else was so painful.
At this moment, a heavy atmosphere descended, pressing down on everyone in the room.
Approaching them, Long Xuan spoke with a tone of cold authority, "Explain how this situation started."
Han Yuan faced him, attempting to diffuse the tension. "Please calm down, General Xuan. This was merely a fight between young men, a common occurrence," he explained earnestly.
"Why don't I sense Long Tian's cultivation base?" Long Xuan countered sharply.
"I can't provide a detailed explanation, General Xuan. Can we consider this a typical altercation between young men?" Han Yuan reasoned earnestly.
Long Xuan was about to respond, but he noticed guards and young disciples entering the main hall.
All eyes turned toward them. Gu Huanzong, grasping the gravity of the situation, approached the newcomers.
"You were part of Long Tian's group that entered the soul hall. Can you clarify why Qin Chen and Long Tian were fighting?" he inquired, his tone firm and unwavering.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtLu Feng stepped forward, relaying what he had witnessed from a distance. "I saw that guy attacking Long Tian while Long Tian was absorbing profound Reiki in the soul hall."
The revelation stunned everyone present. Gu Huanzong, however, remained composed, directing his attention to the guards stationed at the soul hall's entrance.
"And what did you witness?" he questioned.
"We only observed the two of them fighting, sir. Due to their disturbance in the soul hall, we followed them here," one of the guards explained.
Gu Huanzong nodded in understanding. Yet, the oppressive aura emanating from Long Xuan intensified.
"So, that brat attacked Long Tian covertly?" Long Xuan asked icily, his presence becoming more dominant.
Han Yuan immediately shielded Qin Chen. "Every action has its cause, General Xuan. There must be a reason behind Qin Chen's attack on Long Tian," he stated earnestly.
Shi Huang, standing beside Han Yuan, added his voice. "Indeed, General Xuan. Shouldn't we first understand the root of the issue? I acknowledge Qin Chen's grave mistake, and I am prepared to administer appropriate punishment," he said.
Before Long Xuan could respond, Long Tian berdiri. "If you intend to punish Qin Chen, it must be with the penalty of death. And if you seek the truth, I am prepared to reveal it," he declared, producing the Heartblade of Guo Jian from his spatial ring.
The room fell into a stunned silence as a purple sword energy, wrapped in essence, appeared—undoubtedly the lost Heartblade of Guo Jian.
Everyone stood, their eyes wide with shock, including Han Yuan and Qin Chen.
"How did you get that?" Yu Zhong asked, his voice filled with disbelief.
"Then you must see something I have to show you," Long Tian said, producing a device, a tablet screen, from his spatial ring.
He played a soundless CCTV recording he had prepared, showing it to everyone.
All eyes were fixed on the screen, curiosity washing over them.
In the video, Qin Chen entered a grand villa, welcomed by Long Tian. They strolled around, engaging in conversation.
Shortly after, a woman appeared, and Qin Chen's face lit up with happiness upon seeing her.
After their conversation, Qin Chen was seen handing something purple to Long Tian.
Gasps filled the room. The purple object was undoubtedly the Heartblade of Guo Jian.
Long Tian paused the video. "As you can see, this is the Heartblade of Guo Jian, and you will understand why Qin Chen attacked me," he said, then resumed the video.
The video continued with a brief conversation. Then, Qin Chen and the woman left, but due to a remark from Long Tian, the woman returned to Long Tian's side.
After a short dispute, Qin Chen attacked but was blocked by the woman. The fight continued, and Long Tian intervened. However, when Long Tian attacked, Qin Chen suddenly disappeared.
The video ended, leaving everyone exchanging glances.
"From this video, you can know why Qin Chen attacked me at the soul hall," Long Tian said, his tone icy.
Qin Chen roared in fury, "It's because you kidnapped Li Yue'er!"
"I did, but she fell in love with me," Long Tian countered.
Qin Chen couldn't respond. His anger seethed within him.
"And that doesn't change the fact that you stole the Heartblade of Guo Jian. Weeks ago, I told you to give me something valuable. Unexpectedly, you handed me the Heartblade of Guo Jian. I didn't use that item to anticipate something like this. Moreover, I am not foolish enough to employ imperial treasures," Long Tian said.
Hearing this, many eyes turned toward Qin Chen, a mixture of suspicion and anger etched on the faces of those from the imperial faction.
Qin Chen's expression became increasingly furious. "You're lying! You were the one who told me to retrieve the Heartblade of Guo Jian!" he roared angrily.
"Why would I do that? I didn't even know about that thing until Uncle Ling told me," Long Tian countered.
"You vile demon! That was our agreement; if I handed over the Heartblade, you would release Li Yue'er to me!" Qin Chen said loudly, refusing to accept Long Tian's statement.

Many people began to understand the situation, and they leaned more towards Long Tian's side, especially after watching the video.
Qin Chen, on the other hand, grew even angrier at Long Tian's words, a golden aura emanating from him. "I will kill you!" he roared, moving to attack Long Tian.
However, Han Yuan stopped him. "Calm down, Qin Chen!" he said, restraining him from moving.
His gaze turned to Long Tian. "You claim not to know anything about the Heartblade, yet you have this CCTV video? Did you plan all of this?" he asked, his tone cold.
"It's real-time video, old man. I can rewind it to today's footage," Long Tian countered, rolling the video back to its original duration, which was today, right in the moment.
Han Yuan fell silent, unable to say a word. Long Tian was too cunning to be countered.
Meanwhile, Yu Zhong stepped forward, his aura radiating dominance. "I suspected something like this would happen. That day, I took the initiative to check the spatial rings of each participant in the war, but that brat, Qin Chen, blocked me. Master Shi, you witnessed that scene. Don't attempt to protect your disciple," he said coldly.
Seriousness weighed heavily on Shi Huang. The video, the ongoing conversation, and the evidence presented by Long Tian all converged, pointing directly at the prime suspect: Qin Chen. His silence spoke volumes, as the evidence presented was undeniably damning.
His expression turned grim.
Yu Zhong pointed directly at Qin Chen without hesitation. "Seize him!" he commanded.
The imperial soldiers present swiftly moved, surrounding Qin Chen, binding his hands behind his back, and forcing him to the ground.
"Release me! Why doesn't anyone believe me?! Long Tian is clearly lying!" Qin Chen roared.
The soldiers gagged Qin Chen's mouth, rendering him speechless.
Han Yuan's expression grew pale. His worst fears had come true: Qin Chen had been caught stealing the Heartblade.
"Stealing imperial property... The punishment awaiting is death. Bind and take him away. He will be hanged tomorrow," Long Xuan declared.
Shi Huang remained silent. With all the clear evidence, he could no longer defend Qin Chen. Some Elders even believed that Qin Chen deserved the punishment.
