Chapter 3483: Hu Wu And Tian Ya

"What? Becone of the Seven Seraphs? Me?" Lu Yin was surprised.

Old Tao replied, "That's the current rumor."

Lu Yin chuckled. "Me, becoming one of the Seven Seraphs? I'm more likely to storm the Apex Palace."

Palace Master Yao looked at Lu Yin, a glimmer in her eyes. "The High Seraph and the Seven Seraphs rule the Spirit Nidus. Theoretically, the High Seraph and the Seven Seraphs collectively determine the path of the Spirit Nidus. While the Fated One has the final say, since they never intervene, the combination of the High Seraph’s immense power and his establishment of Heavenspire, which is hto many experts, has created the illusion that the High Seraph alone rules the Spirit Nidus.

"But in truth, as long as there is an available position, anyone can compete to beca Seraph."

Lu Yin arched a brow. "Even someone likewho’s from the Tianyuan Megaverse?"

Old Tao answered confidently. "As long as the other six Seraphs agree, yes."

Lu Yin turned to Palace Master Yao, and the woman nodded. There was an indecipherable expression on her stunning face. "It’s true. If the High Seraph objects, the position can remain empty for a time, but not for long. The Day of Offering is fast approaching, and on that day, the High Seraph must lead the Seven Seraphs in a ritual.

"If you can ensure that no one will dare to fight you for the title, you will beca Seraph."

Lu Yin was quite tempted. Becoming a Seraph? He had honestly never considered such a possibility before.

How could someone from the Tianyuan Megaverse possibly beca Seraph?

At the moment, given the pressure of the approaching Day of Offering, was all that Lu Yin needed to do to succeed simply ensure that no one else could claim the title?

"Are you sure that the Day of Offering will force the High Seraph to accept me? What if he insists on giving the title to someone else?" Lu Yin asked.

Palace Master Yao’s lips curled up into a smile. This was the first tLu Yin had seen the woman smile. "Then fight them. Seraphs cannot know defeat. Once defeated, they are no longer a Seraph. A defeated Seraph isn’t qualified to participate in the Day of Offering. The entire Spirit Nidus knows this."

Lu Yin’s eyes lit up as he stared off into the distance.

Seraph, Seraph... Will I really beca Seraph?

The High Seraph had the privilege of being allowed to enter the deepest part of the Apex Palace in order to seek an audience with the megaverse’s invincible being.

The Seven Seraphs had the opportunity to witness an extraordinary spectacle on the Day of Offering.

The High Seraph was able to mobilize all of the megaverse’s resources, including those that belonged to the seven major powers.

The Seraphs were an indispensable aspect of the Spirit Nidus’s culture, as this title gave one the highest authority.

Yuan Qi knew about the secret of the Lesser Spirit Megaverse, but not even the High Seraph was able to kill the man, and that was solely because Yuan Qi was a Seraph.

Taking on the title of Seraph seemed like it would offer excellent protection.

Old Tao respectfully said, "Third Boss, if you beca Seraph, you might also be able to influence the Spirit Nidus's attitude towards the Tianyuan Megaverse."

A simple comment served as a flash of inspiration, and Lu Yin’s mind started racing.

"The only complication is that the Grandverse Manor has broken multiple restrictions, which has placed us against the entire Spirit Nidus," Old Tao continued awkwardly.

Lu Yin dismissed the man’s hesitation. "Broken restrictions? Whose restrictions? The High Seraph's? I really don’t care about him. His rules mean nothing to me. My rules are the true restrictions. My rules are law.

"Find out who else intends to compete for the title of Seraph. I’m going to go pay them a visit."

Old Tao cautiously asked, "What about carving on the Apex Palace?"

"Not right now," Lu Yin replied.

If he was genuinely going to compete for the title of Seraph, then doing something to offend the entire megaverse like carving a non the Apex Palace should wait.

How could he possibly undermine the Spirit Nidus more than by becoming a Seraph? Succeeding would also infuriate the High Seraph.

Old Tao gave a sigh of relief. It was good that they were not going. It was very good.

Palace Master Yao also visibly relaxed.

Even Cai Keqing and Astral Anura sighed in relief.

Just the thought of Lu Yin trying to carve a nonto the Apex Palace was enough to send chills down their spines. That was where the High Seraph resided, and there was no doubt that the High Seraph would emerge to stop Lu Yin.

They had encountered a number of powerful experts after leaving the Grandverse Manor. None of Lu Yin’s opponents had been easy to deal with.

There was also no doubt that the Apex Palace would be more formidable than any other opponent.

"Who’s next?" Lu Yin asked.

Old Tao hesitated briefly before answering, "Hu Wu and Tian Ya."

Palace Master Yao was taken aback. "Hu Wu and Tian Ya?"

Even Cai Keqing gave Old Tao a look of astonishment.

Lu Yin grew curious. "Is that a name?"

Old Tao carefully explained, "It’s the names of two people: Hu Wu and Tian Ya.

"They’re a married couple, but for sreason, despite hating each other, they remain inseparable. They also participated in the competition when Bao Qi beca Seraph. They are a far greater threat than Qian. If the two of them hadn’t started fighting each other in the middle of the competition, Bao Qi might not have beca Seraph."

Lu Yin was intrigued. "Are they that strong?"

Palace Master Yao’s expression turned serious. "They are very powerful. I can handle one of them on my own, but if they join forces, I am absolutely no match for them."

Lu Yin had already moved past the idea of Palace Master Yao being the strongest cultivator beneath the Seven Seraphs. He had simply encountered too many powerful individuals after arriving in the Spirit Nidus. Both Qian and the Worryless Elder had been incredibly difficult to deal with.

While Palace Master Yao was still not weak, when compared to experts at that level, she was even close to being the most powerful cultivator beneath the Seven Seraphs.

Old Tao continued, "If the two of them truly work together without reservation, they can be regarded as the strongest beneath the Seraphs. As a pair, of course.

"Third Boss, you cannot underestimate them at all. It’s widely acknowledged that the best way to deal with that couple is to sow a bit of discord so they are unable to truly cooperate with each other."

Lu Yin rolled his eyes. "I’m not that conniving. Let’s go find them. They’ll also fight for the title of Seraph, right?"

“No doubt about it,” Old Tao affirmed.

“Good. That works,” Lu Yin replied. Then, as if he had suddenly remembered something, he added, “Tell the people behind you that I’m looking for Bao Qi.”

Palace Master Yao did not understand who Lu Yin meant by the people behind Old Tao.

The man considered the request for a moment. “I will try.”

Lu Yin stared at the old man. “Don’t just try. I have to find Bao Qi. If the High Seraph continues to refuse to revoke Yuan Qi’s title as a Seraph, then I’ll make him reap what he’s sown. All I need is an open position. Bao Qi is a good candidate.

“If the people behind you won’t help me, I’ll find them myself. You can make that clear to them.”

Old Tao gave a wry smile. “Understood.”

Allow the Third Boss to go after the Phantom Reach? The domain would suffer quite the headache.

No one wanted Lu Yin to visit them. The Third Boss possessed an astounding strength. Even those who were confident that they could handle him knew that the cost of doing so would be immense.

Previously, Old Tao would not have felt troubled by the request, as the Phantom Reach would have been quite willing to help Lu Yin find Bao Qi. Removing a Seraph would have been good for them.

However, with the new rumors that the Third Boss was looking to seize the title of Seraph, the Phantom Reach might no longer be so willing to help.

The Phantom Reach wanted to use the Third Boss to eliminate various hidden powerhouses. This was because they wanted to reduce the number of competitors for the position of Seraph. If they ended up going against Lu Yin, Old Tao could only guess at their reaction.

Soon after, the sedan stopped at another interstellar city, and Old Tao reached out to the Phantom Reach.

“Bao Qi?”

“Yes. The Third Boss is determined to find Bao Qi. He said that he won’t make another move until he finds the Seraph. He was previously planning to go after Hu Wu and Tian Ya.”

“Tell me, does the man truly intend to compete to beca Seraph?” someone from the Phantom Reach cautiously asked.

Old Tao did not hesitate. “No. The Grandverse Manor has violated too many taboos, and the Third Boss cannot sever his ties to the Grandverse Manor. It’s certain that he won’t compete for the title of Seraph. I’m sure of this.”

There was a brief pause. “Remember, you are the Phantom Reach’s Number Four, not the Grandverse Manor’s Second Boss. The Grandverse Manor is doomed to be annihilated. You can’t even imagine how powerful the High Seraph is. The Grandverse Manor has challenged the Ascendant Hall, which means that they are as good as dead already. If you want to break free of the Grandverse Manor, you have to help our Phantom Reach.”

Old Tao reassured his contact. "I am absolutely loyal to the Phantom Reach. You don’t have to worry. It wasn’t easy forto climb up and becNumber Four."

"That’s good to hear."

"What about Bao Qi?"

"We’ll help him find Bao Qi. First, take him to deal with Hu Wu and Tian Ya."

The call then ended.

Old Tao felt helpless. It seemed that both sides were tacitly acknowledging the other’s knowledge. If not, there was no reason for the Phantom Reach’s last sentence.

The understanding between the two simply could not be made explicit.

Both sides were trying to use the other. Only twould tell who would end up on top.

Hu Wu and Tian Ya were different from Qian and the Worryless Elder. Everyone knew that the couple was alive, as the two were impossible to ignore.

The Spirit Nidus’s thirty-six domains were connected by spirit threads that formed the shape of the 灵 character. However, those thirty-six domains were insignificant in size when compared to the rest of the Spirit Nidus.

The thirty-six domains governed the Spirit Nidus, but they were far from the entirety of the megaverse.

There was a desolate land that lay beneath a sky filled with red rain and black, white, and blue tornados that stretched from the heavens to the earth. It was a place that was impossible for ordinary people to survive, and yet there were two figures locked in combat.

Boom.

Boom.

The ground cracked, and the sky screamed.

A man and a woman fought without end. Their battle had already lasted for many years.

They fought silently, and the ground below them was constantly shattering, only to be restored by the red rain.

Long ago, many people had been watching from the edge of the landmass, but as tpassed, all of them had left. Not one observer remained to watch the seemingly endless battle.

In one corner of the landmass, there was a hidden paradise. That solitary corner was entirely different from the rest of the land’s harsh climate. Instead, it was filled with pink peach blossoms, flowing streams, and a swirling mist.

Whenever the pair grew tired of fighting, they would return to this hidden paradise and rest before once again resuming their battle. It was a never-ending cycle.

When Lu Yin and his entourage arrived, the couple was still fighting.

Lu Yin’s arrival drew a great deal of attention.

His observers all turned to look at the landmass.

"Is the Third Boss targeting Hu Wu and Tian Ya now? He’s incredibly bold to do this."

"Alone, neither Hu Wu nor Tian Ya would be much of a problem. Neither of them can compare to Qi Zun or Wu Wei. However, when they work together, even Dukkhans becafraid."

"It looks like the Third Boss really is planning to try to beca Seraph. Why else would he go after Hu Wu and Tian Ya?"

"Hu Wu and Tian Ya have sworn to fight for the title of Seraph. If Yuan Qi loses his title, they will enter the fray. Striking now makes sense."

"I wonder how this fight will turn out..."

Lu Yin was still lounging on his sedan as he watched the battle down below. While the fighting appeared to be intense, it was actually quite basic. How should he put it? They were fighting without any shred of technical skill. It was like watching two people alleviate their boredom. They seemed to be fighting for fun. If anyone wanted to understand Hu Wu and Tian Ya’s true capabilities from their battles, that was simply impossible.

However, for those who lacked Lu Yin’s level of perception, the battle between the couple looked incredibly fierce, or even brutal.

Old Tao stared in shock. Every attack and counterattack in the battle on the landmass down below sent chills down his spine. He thought that if he were down there, he would not survive more than a few exchanges.

"Third Boss, they’ve been fighting like this for many years. While they’ve never been able to determine a victor, they’ve been fighting for so long that they must understand each other deeply. If they work together, their power will increase exponentially. Are you really going to attack them?"

Lu Yin stood up and lazily stretched out. "We’re destined to be opponents. There’s no choice."

He then stepped forward, instantly vanishing from the sedan and appearing on the land down below.
