"You suffered? From what?" Yasmin asked curiously, not knowing what happened to him.

Letting out a sigh, Dominic shook his head. "I'd rather not talk about it."

"Why?" Having finally met someone around her age, Yasmin was curious and concerned.

Dominic considered Yasmin and said, "I just thought it was unnecessary to talk about it as it's over now.

I was infected with a virus a while ago and nearly died. Fortunately, I survived.”

Yasmin blinked. "Virus? What virus?" She was curious about what kind of virus could stump a miracle

doctor.

Dominic said flatly, "Well... The virus came from here. Didn't you know?"

"I... I didn't." After a pause, Yasmin suddenly realized something.

'Was Dominic infected by the virus from Fred's lab?'

Yasmin had mixed emotions. On one hand, she wished Dominic had not suffered as she felt a sense of

camaraderie with him. On the other hand, she felt proud that the virus her people created was so

powerful that even the miracle doctor could not do anything about it.

"Then what happened? You're fine now, aren't you?" she asked.

Dominic nodded. "Yes, I was cured. Or are you talking to a ghost right now?" He laughed heartily at his

own joke. "Anyway, I suffered a lot back then, and I'm no longer as healthy as I used to be."

Then, as if to prove his words, he started to cough severely. He quickly took a sip of water, adjusted his

breathing, and straightened up.

Yasmin asked, "During the time you were infected, were you afraid of dying?"

"Dying?" Dominic nodded. "Of course, I was afraid. Who isn't? Those who claim they aren't probably

don't know what they're talking about."

Yasmin nodded, glad that she had finally found someone who understood how she felt. "Yes, people

only claim they aren't afraid of dying because they haven't reached our age.

"The older we get, the more afraid we are." She sighed. "It would be wonderful if we could live forever."

“Live forever?" Dominic stared at her in shock. "No, that doesn't sound wonderful at all."

"Don't you want to live forever?" She thought the miracle doctor would approve of her idea.

"Not even the slightest!" Dominic said firmly with a raised chin.
