Mike naturally caught up. He was curious, eager to know what secrets Rhea still held. Upon entering,
Mike found himself in a narrow passage that was not particularly long, giving the impression it was not
part of the initial building.
The two arrived in a small room after walking to the passage’s end. Although not significant, the place
was spacious enough to accommodate a few people. Only one person was inside, blindfolded and
bound.
Even so, Mike recognized the person at a glance. “He’s…”
Rhea placed her finger to her lips, gesturing for him to keep quiet.
Mike was flabbergasted and looked at her in astonishment. He wondered how she managed to bring
the person here and thought she was far too brave for her own good.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtRhea remained silent, watching the person for a while before turning and walking out. Meanwhile, Mike
hesitated, glanced at the person, and then at Rhea’s retreating figure. After some contemplation, Mike
decided to chase after her.
He kept pace with her, and the two returned to the garage. Rhea pressed something, and the wall
closed again seamlessly and inconspicuously. If Mike had not seen the secret chamber, he would
never have believed there was one there.
“Is that Cameron Rollins?!” Mike pointed toward the secret chamber, unable to contain his disbelief.
Rhea smiled and asked, “Do you know him?”
“Of course I do!” Mike could not describe his shock.
‘Cameron Rollins is a person of status, yet, Rhea dared to kidnap him and hide him in such a place.
The most pressing question is how she managed to do it and how is it even possible!’
At that point, Mike began to wonder how many days it had been since she had done this.
‘Is it because she didn’t bring attention to him that no one noticed anything?’
“Do you think he’s enough to be my bargaining chip?” Rhea smiled, squinting at Mike as if she had
done something remarkable and was expecting praise.
“You’re using him as a bargaining chip for an exchange with the organization? Are you out of your
mind?!” Mike expressed his exasperation, “Don’t you know the authorities in the capital will send troops
to immediately destroy your house if they find out you’ve kidnapped him?”
Rhea dismissed it. “I know!”
“Then why—”
“So what?” Rhea raised her lips arrogantly, showing a disdainful expression. “Even if they want to
destroy my house, they must have the opportunity! Perhaps before that happens, we would have

“What are you talking about? Do you even know what you’re saying?” Mike felt like he was staring at a
madwoman just looking at her. He suspected she had gone insane, completely and utterly insane.
“I know what I’m saying. I’ve always been firm in my beliefs. It’s just that the organization doesn’t
believe in me. But if they see everything I’ve done, they’ll realize I am truly on their side.”
“Well, I’m sorry, but we’re not on the same side!” Mike turned away in disbelief.
‘Did this woman even consider the consequences of her actions? Cameron Rollins! How could she
dare to kidnap him?! What’s her next step after kidnapping him?
‘What would the organization want with someone like Secretary Rollins?! Why did she kidnap someone
on the hierarchy? Forget it! I can’t reason with a madwoman.’
