As before, Elliot began to earnestly circulate his energy into the form of those powerful runes and arrange them neatly into centers, combining their functions together.
"Whoa. That's… very simple. And very powerful. Why the hell didn't I think of that before? Oh wait… I didn't give a damn before. Hmmmm. But with this interesting way of creating runic centers… it truly opens up doors to other things." Baltamiros murmured to himself as he mimicked Elliot in his attempt to create the runic centers.
However, Baltamiros was a god, and he quickly created runic centers that were thousands, if not millions of times more complex and more powerful than Elliot's.
Together, a powerful god and a newborn demigod grade being sat casually in that area and began to power up incessantly.
For a few hours, the only thing that stirred were the deep channels of energies within their bodies, and the quiet formation of reservoirs of incredible power within them.
"Hmmmmm. These offensive, defensive and utility centers really make my life easier… IF I have enemies." Baltamiros chuckled as he completed his first series of centers. "What a supremely creative dude. Clone centers. Endless energy centers. By my name, if I had his creativity, I might have already cracked the mystery of how to devour other gods a long time ago!"
He glanced at Elliot to see what else he had, and was pleasantly surprised to see that he had begun work on creating intricate three dimensional networks around the runic centers.
"Excellent idea! Connecting the endless energy runic centers with these offensive and defensive centers would ensure that my already near endless power would never run out!
And is that a summoning center I see? What the hell. With this set up, he would he able to summon almost an endless number of beasts as soon as his power matures! He might not be able to control them all perfectly, but… what the hell! This bastard could very well summon the entire population within the beast universe!" Baltamiros could only shake his head in awe.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHe was able to summon those beasts too if he wanted to, of course. But he was a god! It was absolutely within his right and all that is normal and good to do that.ᴜᴘᴅᴀᴛᴇ ꜰʀᴏᴍ novelenglish.net . Fɪre.net
Elliot was just a mortal! When has a mortal wielded that much power before? Well, the old beast overlords could probably do that as well. But it was by right of their authority, not their physical control over the beasts!
"Sick bastard. His creativity would be the death of the gods." Baltamiros muttered as he began to mimic Elliot and create the three dimensional channels to connect his centers.
Very soon, he forgot his mild jealousy over Elliot, and relished in great joy over his own rapidly rising power.
"Hohoho, with this, I might even be able to challenge THAT old bastard." Baltamiros thought to himself with glee.
A day soon passed, and Baltamiros finished connecting his oversized runic centers to each other.
He admired his own creation with a deep sense of satisfaction as he nodded repeatedly to himself.
"Good. Good." He grunted again and again while smiling widely.
After a couple of hours, he finally remembered to check on Elliot again. Afterall, that young punk might have other creative ideas.
He turned his head around to glance into Elliot's body and instantly, his smile froze.
Though much smaller and simpler compared to Baltamiros, Elliot had very shrewdly created his runic centers in the perfect shape and placed them in the perfect spots to align them properly and create a larger rune using those centers!
And that larger rune happened to be the rune of…
"Boost?" Baltamiros could only gape in deep admiration at Elliot's creation.
The effect of such a creative application of the runes was mind blowing.
Every single offensive, defensive, utility center within his body automatically received a boost at the level of the larger rune he used!
And if Elliot went on to create his runic centers to the form of a maximum boost rune…
"F*CK!!!" Baltamiros could only curse vehemently at his impatience.
As a god, it was not the end of the road, of course. Unlike mortals, Baltamiros was not limited by size, and his "blank canvas" on which he was creating his Universe of Runes was actually almost infinite in size.
He could easily expand the scope of his work to do what Elliot was doing.
But he had lost maximum efficiency.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmHis oversized runes were overkill, and took up more space in his blank canvas, space which could be devoted to the maximization of the larger runes!
In fact, if he scaled up the idea, he could make runic centers within runic centers within runic centers to create a stupidly powerful system that could squash gods like squashing ants!
He simmered slightly in regret before finally deciding that there was no point crying over spilt milk.
"Fine. I will do it properly this time. Let's… NO. Damn it, I'll just wait for this bastard to finish before I continue. He might have other creative efficiencies which I could use." Baltamiros grumbled to himself and proceeded to settle down to watch Elliot work on his Universe of Runes.
Days passed in a blink of an eye as Elliot created one large rune after the other within his body. And very soon, his body was almost full, and the final outline of the single major rune which contained all of his larger runes was appearing.
Thankfully for Baltamiros, he learnt his lesson properly because Elliot gave him one final surprise with his final major rune which
"Void??" Baltamiros blinked in surprise before he finally realized Elliot's intention.
"BLOODY HELL! YOU…. YOU GREEDY BASTARD!!" Baltamiros howled as a deep, explosive feeling of greed surged through his very fiber of being!
Elliot was creating the ultimate Universe of Runes. Every single creative application of runic centers he made would be held under a major rune which would turn his ENTIRE Universe of Runes into ethereal energy.
And the implication of that was like drawing a circle on a piece of paper multiple times on top of each other.
He would be able to create as many Universe of Runes as he liked, and they would simply stack atop each other.
