Hitori took a step forward. The roof above his head was translucent, the moonlight scattered on its way down. He stood in the middle of the ninth floor which was lit with the moonlight.

He turned and looked at his right, at his left, up, down. No. The entrance to the tenth and the final floor was nowhere to be found.

Hidden entrance inside a hidden dungeon. It was fortunate that Hitori had entered a low-level dungeon or else it would have been hard to find the dungeon itself.

He pulled the purple gun and fired it all around the floor. What else could he do?

It became frustrating, he was trapped on the floor. He could not go further and he do not want to go back either. In times like these, he used all of the worthless things in the hope to find the entrance.

Just like he used to do in the old times– hit the rocks with his sword, jump on high rocks which seemed to be the key to entering the next floor, then he would curse the game for creating such a difficult dungeon. And whatnot.

Hitori planned to do the same. The whole floor started to light up in purple color.

While firing, Hitori turned to his left to complete the round when suddenly, one of his bullets on impact with the walls reflected damage.

Hitori stopped. He pointed his gun in the direction from where, when he fired, came the damage notification.

'This is it.' A smile appeared on his face.

He manipulated his mana while pointing the gun straight at the rock wall.

Just like before, the gun changed the color from purple to dark purple, and from dark purple to an even darker shade. On the tip, a ball of mana energy manifested.

Hitori aimed at his target while he pulled the trigger. He held his breath for that moment and shot the bullet.

-75.

[You have discovered a secret treasure!]

Well, not what he had expected but alright. If he found the treasure then surely this might lead him to the tenth floor's dungeon.

Taking quick steps forward, Hitori reached the wall. The scrambles of rock laid in front of the wall, and inside rested a tiny spherical item glowing in silver color.

Hitori bent forward. Since the secret treasures do not have a grade as they are meant to be a 'secret', he could not figure out the treasure's grade.

[Opened secret treasure]

[Acquired:

Epic healing potion +1

Fire element mana]

<Cultivated mana: 20,000/20,000>

<Reached max threshold of the fire domain, you will enter the next domain>

<Entered water element cultivation domain>

<Cultivated mana: 0/40,000>

<Gained a new elemental spell: Mizu no Mahou [water magic]>

Hitori was thrilled to know he had entered the next cultivation domain.

He looked at the required mana for the next domain. 'Now that is a big amount.'

He turned towards a portal that was shining brightly in blue color, 'Finally.'

Hitori walked towards the blue portal which read: Entrance to the tenth floor of the dungeon. Exactly what he needed.

[Auto saved]

[Entered the final floor of the dungeon: 10/10]

[A new quest appeared: Defeat the fire dungeon boss]

'So where is it?' He looked around him to spot the boss. What would it be? A dragon with fire abilities? Or perhaps another horde of monsters with the fire burning around them?

He started to move his eyes around the ruins of the final floor.

The moon shone brightly above his head. There were rocks, ashes, stones, and collapsed walls on the final floor. Tall walls were the floor's borders, it would have been a nice roof if not for the walls.

He knew it would be dangerous to randomly roam while he was on the boss floor but he just could not help it anymore. How long had the boss planned to make him wait?

And as soon as Hitori stepped near the roof's left side which was covered with rocks and walls around, he heard a whimper.

He stopped and took a peek at the other side, although it was not visible, he saw some kind of flaming orange light glowing on that side.

On taking a few more steps, he heard a screech, exactly like that of a bird. He grabbed his gun, he was ready for anything. This might just be the boss, there was no telling what would happen.

'I should retreat,' He made a decision and acted upon it immediately. Hitori stepped back and the bird sounds increased. He felt a chill running down his spine every time the bird made a sound.

It flapped its wings, and Hitori could hear it– the sound of its claws scraping the ground, its beak scratching the sides of the walls as it got up.

A shrill screech filled the air. Hitori covered his ears and ran from that place, he went back to the place where the portal was supposed to be.

But guess, after you enter a fight or combat, you can not escape anymore. You can not save in the middle of a fight and you can not log out either.

From behind the walls, a big orange bird started coming out. 'What the hell is that…?'

Its huge wings flapped in the air which created strong ripples of air. The humongous body of that bird came into view. The sides of its wings were burning with flames, the talons were of a table's size, and the pointed claws were covered in flames.

Hitori's eyes followed the bird's eyes. Its eyes had a burning flame enclosed inside. It raised its big oval-shaped head with flames on its nape flowing down through its spine.

[Boss has appeared! Fire dungeon boss has appeared!]

Hitori staggered at the sight of its dark red long thick beak. It looked as if the bird might just make numerous holes in Hitori's body with its beak right now.

Squawk, squeak, screech~

The bird rose high in the sky, pulled its head up, it then let out its scary and annoying screech.

The bird proudly opened its wide wings and spread its legs while it stretched its claws. At the same level as the moon, the bird looked down at Hitori.

'Just what is that?' He still demanded an answer.
