"Who gets to sit there?" Ava whispers to Jack Fuller, staring at the windows with green eyes. She has a feeling that she won't like the answer.
"Ten million spent at the auction," Jack Fuller says without moving much even his lips, sitting calmly, "...per year." Not like they don't have that kind of money, but they definitely can't put all their liquid on luxurious at this kind of auction for fun. Not to mention, everyone around them is at least a millionaires. But there are tiers between riches. The distance between the benches down here and the windows up there is one of them.
Ava has always known that the life behind those curtains belongs to her. That's why she wanted to be Mrs. Knight. She didn't hate Scar, per se, but she couldn't watch the little rich boy paying attention to the little sister who looked nothing like her-- That was why she told Sebastian she was the little girl he met, even though she knew it was a misunderstanding from day one.
