Chapter 924
Lizetta felt her heart skip a beat; she was pretty sure Grandpa Nelson had caught onto something.
Saying no now would only make things more suspicious.
She quickly plastered on a smile and nodded, "Sure, that sounds great."
As she stood up, she frantically gestured off-camera to the man slouched on the bed, urging him to make a swift
exit.
"How about | show you the balcony and the bathroom first, Grandpa and Grandma?" she suggested, stepping
backward towards the balcony with a forced grin.
"Look at this view from the balcony, isn't it quite nice?" Lizetta said, casting a sharp glance at Remington on the
bed. He just sat there, legs casually crossed, watching her with an infuriatingly amused expression, clearly in no
hurry to move.
She glared at him again, this twith enough intensity to send daggers, but he merely sat up, crossing his
arms defiantly as if he had no intention of budging. Lizetta was tempted to march over and give him a swift kick
right off the bed. "This place is in a great location, isn't it? Yoli's really outdone herself, buying a house like this,"
Nelson's voice crackled through her phone.

such a prspot, with the balcony offering a view of Zion City's iconic skyline? It was clearly a standalone
mansion with a sprawling garden - far beyond what Yolanda could afford on her current salary. She was wracking
her brain for a plausible story to quell Grandpa's suspicions when, to her horror, Remington got up and started
walking towards her.
Her eyes widened, heart racing, and the camera shook slightly in her hand.
Fortunately, Nelson seemed more interested in the scenery than the financials. "The view really is something.
Liz, why don't you pan the camera around so | can take a better look at the room?" he suggested.
"Sure thing, letjust adjust it," Lizetta replied, her voice a bit tight.
If she turned the camera now, it would capture Remington's annoyingly perfect face. He might be

slipped against the wall, out of view.

Relieved, Lizetta directed the camera around the empty room, giving it a slow sweep. "See, Grandpa? If you like
this style, | can ask Yoli about the interior designer later."
Behind her, Remington quietly slid open the balcony door and slipped outside, vanishing from sight.
Finally, Lizetta could breathe easy again, her voice relaxed. Nelson, seemingly satisfied that the room was clear,
changed the subject.
"So, Liz, how are things going with Jerlately?" he asked.
Lizetta smiled, "Oh, everything's great! You know how much he appreciates all you and Grandma have done for
him. He's always looking out forand letshave my way."
Nelson nodded approvingly. "I know Jerome's a good man. | never worry about him mistreating you or not taking
care of you. But biz, you know what I'm really asking, right? Don't try to play dumb with your old grandpa." s.net
