Chapter 269 Jenny and Yolanda were chatting and walking along.
A camper van pulled up behind them, and its back door swung open to reveal a pair of long legs stepping out first.
There was a man wearing a mask, a fisherman's hat, and a long trench coat, his face so hidden behind sunglasses that you could barely see a thing.
“Mr. Cassius, Director Harriet is already waiting in the VIP room, just waiting on you now.” The assistant got out of the car, replying on his phone as he spoke.
Cassius nodded, looking ahead, his gaze landing on a somewhat familiar figure.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHe reached up and hooked his sunglasses down a notch.
No mistake, it was Yolanda, Hot Chili.
“What's she doing here?” he raised an eyebrow.
Assistant Sean, catching on to his line of sight, turned to look just as Yolanda turned her head to speak with Jenny, giving Sean a clear view.
Sean exclaimed with a hint of excitement, “Oh, you mean Yoli? Yeah, why isn’t she on set today? But do Yoli and Jenny know each other? Maybe she’s here to meet the director?” He speculated, genuinely happy for Yolanda.
“Yoli’s got sserious acting chops, and her action scenes are out of this world, not to mention she’s just as pretty as any actress out there. If she gets the chance, she’s gonna skyrocket.” As he rambled on, he suddenly felt a chill over his head Looking up, he saw Cassius giving him a not-so-friendly look, and Sean gave an awkward smile.
“What's with you? “Yoli‘ this, ‘Yoli that. You guys tight or something?” “No, no, but Yoli, | mean, Ms. Yolanda, she’s cool, totally chill, not pretentious at all, we all get along great.” “So, you think her being my stunt coordinator and kiss double is beneath her, huh?” Cassius snorted with a laugh that wasn’t really a laugh.
Sean shrank back and clammed up.
Cassius picked up the pace, but to his surprise, Yolanda and her companion were also heading towards the VIP room.
“Ms. Yolanda must be here for Director Harriet too. Oh right, | remember now, Jenny's the secondary lead in ‘Fairy Fate’. She must be introducing Ms. Yolanda to Director Harriet, yeah?” Cassius narrowed his eyes and with a stride of his long legs, he rushed forward and grabbed Yolanda by the arm.
“Cwith me.” “Hey! What the heck? Cassius, are you out of your mind? Let go!” Jenny looked on in confusion as Yolanda was dragged away, and when she tried to follow, Sean stopped her.
“Ms. Abbott, Mr. Cassius just needs a word with Ms. Yolanda. You don’t need to calong.” Cassius was a big deal, a famous A-lister.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmJenny was surprised, “Yoli knows Mr. Cassius? Well, that’s great, | won't intrude.” She had heard that the male lead in ‘Fairy Fate’ was a major star, but she hadn't expected someone at Cassius’ level.
And Yolanda knew him, seemed pretty close/too.
Did she even need Jenny's help to land the role of the fourth female lead? Yolanda, dragged to the restroom entrance, angrily tried to pull away, but Cassius‘ grip was too strong. She retaliated by elbowing him in the chest and pinning him against the wall.
“Cassius, if you've got something to say, spit it out. I'm busy, you know.” This woman must have been eating power pills or something, because Cassius felt a pang in his back.
He kept a stern face, “Yolanda, what are you doing here meeting with Director Harriet?” “That's none of your business.” Yolanda turned to leave but Cassius grabbed her again, this time, she snapped.
1/2 09:52 ter 269 “You're here to snag a role from Director Harriet, right? Don’t forget you've got a deal with me.” Yolanda had been screwed over by that jerk Cassius before, landing her in the police station until Liz had to beg Remington to bail her out, Then she ran into Cassius on set again, the guy’s petty as can be, giving her a hard time.
Worried about causing more trouble for Lizetta, she endured and even agreed to becCassius’ stunt coordinator.
And Mr. Picky himself, Cassius, he wouldn't even kiss different actresses, calling it unclean, and had her stand in for the female lead in bed and kissing scenes.
They had even signed a contract.
But right now, Yolanda was fed up with Cassius’ nonsense, “We signed a contract, sure, but it’s not like I'm sold to you. As long as my acting doesn’t interfere with your stuff, we're good.” T
