Chapter 86 Take a look
At six in the morning, the winter dawn was dark, and the city lay still in the hushed morning mist. In the backseat
of the Maybach, Renee kept yawning. She glanced at Marcelo, busy with his emails, puzzled at how someone
who slept so little could be so full of energy.
Yet, she had to admit, Marcelo looked particularly handswhile working. His profile was striking, his gaze
calm and deep, as if no challenge was too great for him.
The car stopped outside the film set.
“I'm off. Bye!”
As Renee reached for the door, Marco draped a white mink coat over her shoulders.
The thick, warm fur shielded her from the morning chill that seeped in through the open car door.
Renee paused, a thought crossing her mind. She turned to Marcelo, asking, “Are you really here on business?”
The luxurious mink coat was unlike anything available in the city. Marcelo had claimed he was on a business trip,
but why would he bring such an exquisite coat on a work trip?
“Yes,” He answered calmly.
Despite his reassurance, Renee's intuition whispered that his visit wasn’t for business.
She tilted her head, eyeing him in a way that was almost cute.
After a brief pause, she teased, “If you're here just for me, | might reward you.”
“What kind of reward?” His interest was piqued.
Renee hadn't really thought it through. As she pondered, he suggested, “A good morning kiss? Or maybe a
farewell kiss? Or a blowjob.”
Renee, deciding not to scold him for his naughtiness in public, chose on a whim.

“Farewell kiss.”
Marcelo chuckle was low and brief, betraying his good mood. “With your kissing skills?” he teased.
Renee felt mocked. “What's wrong with my kissing skills? My kissing skills...”
Before she could finish, He kissed her, cutting her off. Thankfully, Luke wasn’t in the car, but she realized there
was a driver!
Renee tried to push him away, but he caught her wrists, holding them above her head, leaving her powerless to
resist.
“Marcelo, don’t... Stop... Wait...”
He only stopped when he chose to.
After the kiss,he playfully wiped her lips. His usually cold demeanor had taken on a teasing air.
“Farewell kiss,” he declared. He didn’t need a reward; he'd take his farewell kiss himself. “And remember to take
your medicine.”
DONUS
Back in her hotel room, Renee brooded. She hadn't gotten the answer she wanted. She had hoped Marcelo would
say, “No, I'm not here on business.I'm here for you.”
The loud knocking on her door snapped Renee out of her thoughts. Opening the door, she saw Susanna, anxious
and urgent.
“Renee, there's trouble! The director's upset because you didn’t finish your work on time. He's really angry. You
need to cquickly!”
The meeting room was silent and tense. Along with the head of the clothing and makeup department, the main
director was present, everyone waiting for Renee.
“Renee, where’s the makeup plan for the supporting male actor | asked you to prepare yesterday?“Charlie
inquired.
“I put it on your desk yesterday, “Renee responded.
“But there’s nothing on my desk. Are you certain you didn’t misplace it?” Charlie questioned with a frown.
Before Renee could respond, Joseph Ramos, the director, slammed his hand on the table, his voice steeped in
anger. “Don’t think I'm unaware that you left right after the meeting yesterday! You're too inexperienced to act
professionally. All you seem to know is how to laze around and deceive people!”
His words were overly harsh.
“Ill let it slide this tsince you're new. But don’t expect such leniency again, Renee!“Joseph dismissed her
attempt to explain, turning his attention to another set of papers. He projected them onto the screen with a sigh
of disappointment.
“Since Renee isn't prepared, let's review Alyssa’s draft.”
Renee's eyes widened in shock as she saw the draft on the big screen. It was identical to her own design.
Alyssa stood, addressing the room with the rationale behind her design. The draft’s excellence in both beauty
and historical accuracy swiftly garnered unanimous agreement.
“Alyssa is truly a standout from of Wells University. Despite her youth, she’s truly remarkable!” Joseph
commended Alyssa before turning his ire towards Renee. “Learn a lesson from her, Renee! You were tasked with
this responsibility, yet your colleague had to clean up your mess!”
“Sir, | have a question,” Renee calmly interjected. “Given that | was assigned this makeup design, why did Alyssa
prepare it?”
“Renee, not everyone is idling away just like you. I differ from you. Opportunities are reserved for those who are
well-prepared,” Alyssa responded, seizing the moment she had been waiting for three years to humiliate Renee.
“Well-prepared?” Renee pointed to the projection on the big screen, questioning, “Were you well-prepared for
stealing my draft?”
The room erupted into a clamor.
“Stealing? What is Renee talking about?”
“What stealing?”
“What is Renee implying?”

but
“Renee, are you trying to slanderbecause you failed to fulfill your duty? It's bad enough to slander me,
fabricating such a ridiculous story!” Alyssa laughed, treating the accusation as a joke. “Do you have any
evidence to prove that this draft is yours? Do you have the original on your computer?”
Standard design drafts now require the use of Al, CorelDraw, PS, CDA, and other software. The makeup draft
displayed by Alyssa was the result of a computer drawing.
Renee, turning on her computer, furrowed her brows slightly.
Yesterday, she saved the design draft on the right side of the computer desktop, but now it disappeared.
“You can't find the original on your computer, right?” Alyssa sneered. “Of course you can’t, because you didn’t
draw the draft. | have the original!”
Alyssa displayed the original draft on her computer to Joseph.
Joseph swiftly admonished, “Renee! Not only did you fail to complete your own work, but you also tried to claim
credit for your colleague’s work. You've committed a grave offense! You! Apologize to Alyssa immediately.
Refrain from clinging to your position as deputy director and concede to her, or | will mark it as a permanent
stain on your record!”
IMr. Ramos, | haven't said anything yet. Are you sure it's my fault? Even criminals get a chance to defend
themselves in court. Don’t | have the sright?” Unfazed, Renee calmly questioned.
“Then tell us, Renee.” Charlie interjected before Joseph could silence her.
“Alyssa, when did you prepare the draft?“Renee cut to the chase.
“Last night. I noticed you were the first to leave and was worried you might delay the crew’s work by not
finishing yours. So, | drew the makeup draft that night,” Alyssa explained, her crafted narrative highlighting her
exceptional professional ability and diligence.
“Good!” Renee, producing a stack of papers, displayed them one by one. “Take a look.”
