Saying Goodbyes Bryce was seated at the restaurant with a coffee in one hand as he stared outside the window. He had just finished a meeting with his staff and decided to sip on his coffee as he waited out here for someone. Part of the reason why he hasn't returned back hwas because he wanted Hera to enjoy her little freedom before he arrives.

With a deep contented sigh, his mind rolled out the events that had happened the past week. So far, Hera has been discharged from the hospital and was given intensive care at home. Most of the time, they had ended up arguing over a couple of things like her personal space which was no longer hers anymore.

He had been watching her like a hawk watching over its hatchling. He had been overly protective of her but with good intentions too. Hera on the other hand believes that he was doting on her too much and wanted to do sthings on her own but he wouldn't allow it. God forbids he does. There's absolutely no way in hell that he'd do that. He never lets her out of his sight even for a split second. Not after what had happened the last time.

He was everywhere around her. In the bedroom, the kitchen...it took a whole lot of convincing on her part before he was able to rule out the bathroom otherwise, he'd definitely be there too. He was certain that she was sick of him at this point but he could also tell that she loved it just as much.

The sisters at the convent as well as Christina had visited them in the hospital days before she was discharged and they had been very supportive about the pregnancy and his feelings for her. Max had even dropped by to check on them. He had been busy with opening up a new hotel but still managed to cthrough whenever they needed him.

For the first tin ages, Max had told him how proud he was of him for coming this far and sticking to it. Hera had even promised to make him the baby's godfather when it's been born. They haven't checked the gender of the baby because they wanted to keep it as a surprise for both of them although Bryce was hoping that it'd be a girl. It'd be nice to have someone that reminds him of Hera and his mother.

The good days were as equal as the worse days but they always managed to pull through. He had never known that pregnancy was so difficult. It wasn't all rainbows and sunshine. Sdays she'd be happy and minutes after, she'd be going through tons of emotions at once but he never complains.

He loves her and he loves experiencing all of these things with her. God! He was helplessly in love with this woman. A smile crossed his features and soaked it in before taking another sip. Everything was finally perfect and he couldn't be more happier whenever the thought of him being a dad crossed his mind.

"Bryce?" Someone called out to him and he whipped his head towards the direction of the voice. It was Nella. He stood up from his seat and ushered her to take a seat next to him which she did.

"I didn't think that you'd ever callagain but i was happy that you did." She started with watery eyes and a blissful smile. "How have you been? And Hera? How is she?" He nodded his head once. "I've been okay and Hera is doing okay too as well as our baby. We're all doing quite okay." "I'm glad." She whispered with teary eyes. "I never got to tell you how sorry i am. I wanted to call and apologize after that day at the hospital but i didn't want you to get upset withso i stayed away. Thank you for askingto see you." "No, thank you Nella." He said instead. "Thank you for not going through with whatever you wanted to do that day and i believe that i um...i owe you an apology for accusing you of pushing Hera down the stairs. That was wrong on my part." "You don't have to apologize Bryce." She countered. "I may be a lot of things but I'd never intentionally hurt you. Believe it or not, i still love you and I'd be lying if i said that I didn't anymore and one thing i would never be able to bear is seeing you get hurt so I'm truly sorry." "It's okay Nella. I'm not upset anymore." "But you didn't believebefore so what changed?" "Hera." Bryce answered. "She asked for you when she woke up that day at the hospital and toldeverything that happened. I didn't want to listen at first but she insisted on it. She toldthat it was an accident on her part and that you had nothing to do with it so i knew i had to say something to clear the air especially after what i said to you that day at the hospital." "She's a good person." Nella mused. "I'm happy for you Bryce. I'm happy that you found someone with a good heart like her and i can't believe that you're going to be a dad. It's all happening so fast." She chuckled. "This really suits you a lot. You're glowing. I guess finding the right person was all it took." "Thank you Nella. Hearing you say this warms my heart." He commented.

"Any marriage plans in place? When are you planning on making it official?" He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "As soon as possible. I'm working towards it. Now, enough about me. How are you Nella? What are you up to these days Nella?" "I'm leaving the country for good." She blurted out, followed by a deep breath. "I got an offer to take over another position outside the country and i took it. I leave in three days tand I'm really glad we got to talk one last tbefore i go." Bryce nodded his head firmly. "Will you be visiting or is this goodbye forever?" "I think I'll be gone for as long as possible." She answered with a short laugh. "I need to start afresh and find myself again. To be honest, i can't move on if I'm here. As bad as it is, i only got back because of you and everything here remindsof you. I need tto heal and sort myself out so the offer cin handy." "Who knows? I could get lucky and meet someone as good as Hera and maybe fall in love and start a family over there right?" She laughed but it didn't reach her eyes. She was just messing around. She had no intention of falling in love with anyone. She has had her own fair share of the experience and even though it didn't end well, she wouldn't trade these memories for anything. Bryce would always be her first and she intends to keep it that way for as long as she could.

"What do you think about that?" She asked. Bryce didn't respond. He knew that she was hurting and indulging her would only make it worse. Although, he'd be very happy if she eventually learns to move on and find love like he did. Nella is a good person and she also deserves to be loved.

She wiped a stray tear that rolled down her cheeks. "I'm sorry. I don't know why I'm so emotional today." "I'll miss you a lot Nella." Bryce said to her. "I never got to thank you enough for what you've always done for me. Thank you for always being there. Besides Max, you were another constant in my life and I'll forever be grateful for that." "You did the sfortoo so I'll miss you a lot too Bryce."

"You know that you can always call whenever you need my help right? I'll always tend a hand if and however i ED can?" "Yeah i know." She stood up and he did too. "Can i get a hug at least?"

"Of course." He opened his arms and she walked into them, biting hard on I hard p her lips to fight back the tears that were threatening to fall. She can't break down in front of him. It hurts but she just can't. She pulled away afterwards. "So I'll see you in the future? Any promises?" He shrugged. "I'll take my chances." "Goodbye Bryce and i wish for you to be always happy. You deserve to be." She smiled at him and after

waving, she turned her back and walked out of the restaurant. Bryce watched her leave. No he didn't feel anything for her anymore. If anything, he was glad that they were able to have this talk and that whatever she chooses to do will make her happy as well. He had chosen his path and somehow, she had to find hers too but one thing is certain, he'd never forget her. Ever!
