Melinda and Hal dashed into the midst of the enemies and were throwing fists and kicks all about.
The battle was already going well and the Sapphirine Guild already had the upper hand but no member of the Sapphirine Guild complained (why would they?) when Melinda and Hal joined up with them and caused even more damage.
That said, the members of the Sapphirine Guild were quick to realize that if the two could join up with them, then it had to mean that they had been victorious against the two Guild leaders and they spared a look at where most of the Officials were at and saw the broken and ragdolled bodies of both Lan and Rowan.
If the members of the Sapphirine Guild could notice, then it is only a matter of time before their enemies realized as well.
Their eyes widened as they saw what had been done to their leaders and then they looked at the couple who were still inflicting punishment on them with wicked smiles.
"Retreat!" a lieutenant yelled and instantly, the enemies scattered.
"This is Over!" yelled an official as he saw the enemies scattered and he awarded the win to the Sapphirine Guild and they were awarded two separate sets of points for defeating two Guilds simultaneously.
Unlike when they had defeated the Golden Crow Guild, the Sapphire Guild did not cheer.
This was a time to talk strategy.
They might just be able to win the Guild war but there was a need to plan their next move well.
Especially when they could not count on any alliances and were totally on their own.
There was someone who jubilated though and it was Sassy who pumped her fist into the air to say,
"Woo woo... Alright!"
Besides her, there was only silence as the enemies cleared out of the Guild's courtyard.

News of the event spread and the point mostly emphasized was how brutally beaten the two Guild leaders were.
Quite a number of people expected the Elders to sanction both Melinda and Hal for the damage they inflicted on their opponents but the Elders were quiet in regards to the incident.
The reason for their silence became known soon as because they had allowed this to slide, any extensive damage that was done to both Melinda and Hal as well as their entire Guild would also not warrant any punishment.
They did not announce this though and simply claimed that since both Lan and Rowan were going to eventually make full recoveries (though it would take long), then there was nothing to punish.
After the incident, not many were eager to attack the Sapphirine Guild because of the two monsters that were Hal and Melinda but the top Guilds were planning to take the Sapphirine Guild down.
The top Guilds were; The Jade Foxes, The Flame Guild, the Silver Ax Guild, and the Sensual Guild.
The Sensual Guild being the dual cultivators that they were even bolstered their numbers by having their dual cultivating partners be backup in case of any issues even though no issue was expected and none expected the Sapphirine Guild to triumph over the strongest Guilds whose leaders were already at the peak of the Cosmic Pagoda realm.
Meaning they would soon graduate once they had advanced to the Cosmic Semi-Saint realm.
The Four had something personal against the Sapphirine Guild and wished to take out their anger during the final showdown.
The Jade Foxes wanted Melinda to be a member of their Guild because the last two personal disciples of the Empress had been Members and leaders of the Guild and they were annoyed when Melinda ignored their invitation with what they saw as the height of arrogance.
And she really had been arrogant.
The Flame Guild had also offered an invitation to Melinda with them saying it was where she should be as a Dane. Danes practically owned the Flame Lotus Sect.
She had rejected it as well but she actually rejected the Flame Lotus Guild's invitation because she knew none of them liked her.
A bunch of them had been Cirk's sympathizers when she cut off his manhood while he tried to rape her.
The leader of the Flame Guild himself said that while Cirk had been wrong, Melinda's reactions were extreme.
They hated that she was called back to the Dane family and they hated that she was proving herself to be her father, The Dane Monster, Devon Dane's daughter.
Had she actually accepted their invitations, Melinda knew that they would have thrust her into the absolute back of the Guild, and being her father's daughter and a member of the Dane main bloodline would not earn her any favors.
Whenever she thought of facing the Flame Guild leader in battle, she could not help but smile.
The battle might not be to the death but it would damn well seem that way.
Next, the Silver Ax Guild was a Guild primarily created by and for those of the Silva bloodline although they did accept talented non-Silvas.
The Silva family had a silent and mostly unspoken rivalry with the Dane family so that was a bit more direct.
Melinda is a Dane and created her own Guild, hence she was an enemy.
And finally, the Sensual Guild. Their hatred for the Sapphirine Guild also involved Melinda as Dual cultivators dislike the Danes who were the most against their Cultivation style.
That said, that was not the only reason as during all previous Guild wars, their target had usually been the Flame Guild which was basically a Dane establishment that keeps the prejudice alive.
There were two other reasons;
One was the fact that Nicole Antonov who should be a member of the Sensual Guild was a part of the Sapphirine Guild instead.
The second reason was that they could not just let a newly formed Guild establish itself as a force to reckon with and would be relying on complete decimation of the Guild to cause them to separate.
Even before the Elders (the Guild leader was a personal disciple of an Elder) made defeating the Sapphirine Guild the number one priority, the Sapphirine Guild was the main target of the Sensual Guild this year rather than the Flame Guild like the previous Guild Wars.
The fact that the two opposing Guilds (Sensual and Flame Guilds) were coming together to take down one Guild made it all seem like something huge would go down during this Guild war.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThat said, the four Guilds did not rush over to take down the Sapphirine Guild and while they waited, the Sapphirine Guild acted as though they were not major targets of the top Guilds and instead, went after all other weaker Guilds.
The first week of the Guild war was over and they were already in the middle of the second week and every other Guild apart from the four top Guilds had been defeated by the Sapphirine Guild.
They took the attacking position and ambushed other Guilds.
Hal had a talk with Leila about the use of Runes to the absolute limit and making it one of the most important parts of their attacks.
It did not matter if the ambushed Guilds announced alliances and their allies came over, they would be defeated nonetheless.
Some even had the good sense to surrender before things got too serious and before they suffered the same fates as Lan and Rowan.
The strongest Guild leaders that Hal and Melinda fought among the fodder Guilds were at the late stage of the Cosmic Pagoda realm and they both held back their strength considerably to paint a picture of struggle and even further have the Guild leaders of the top Guilds get complacent.
Leila loved to receive pointers from Hal as he actually helped her with her Rune casting. He became someone she could and did look up to and she had herself thinking that he might just be a respected member of the Rune Castle.
Rune Castle was the equivalent of the Alchemy organization on the Haron continent but when she asked Hal, he told her he was not a part of the Rune castle.
She was surprised but nowhere near as surprised as she was to discover his age. She freaked out at the knowledge of his age.
Anyway, together, they showed any other Runemasters in the Royal Academy who was boss.
While they took down Guilds, the four top Guilds did not interfere but were watching the situation closely and using it to know as much as they could about their enemy.
They could not care less about the fodder Guilds.
"You can't seriously be planning for the Sapphirine to face the combined forces of the four Guilds," Suri Hander said in the strategizing room the next day.
That would be stupid and she did not see a way for them to come out victorious.
Problem was that, if they attacked one Guild, the others were sure to interfere, and soon, it would all turn into an all-out war between their smaller Guild and the alliance of the four.
Melinda sighed,
"No, we'll take one by one. Attacking one Guild at a time so that we are not overwhelmed. All we need to do is make sure we have a way to keep any alliance from joining the battle." she said and looked at Hal who was lounging in a chair and smiled,
"I have just the thing"
