The apostles were given incredible power and authority by various different gods, and they used that power to help the world against the dungeon break.

They defeated all the monsters, bringing the people peace in the apocalypse.

The Apostles became the heroes of the new generation, and every single person looked up to them.

After the incident that came to be known later as Dungeon breaks, it became known that people could now enter it for some reason.

However, not everyone was allowed to enter it so easily. After all, this was the same portal that spewed out monsters into the world. Who knew what they could hold?

So, the government started off by sending in the military, along with the apostles in their country to scout.

Surprisingly, it turned out that there was a contained space within this portal that held monsters inside. There weren't many monsters, however, so the military and Apostles easily defeated them.

They returned from the newly named Dungeons with research materials which were quickly taken by the government. Not long after, it became known that there were a lot of materials inside, many different minerals and metal ores that could be very beneficial to the earth.

So, they started sending in people to mine it. While mining dungeons, they also started bringing back the remains of dungeon beasts, which were always just small purple stones that were later known as Mana cores.

Around the same time, people started getting awakened with powers that shouldn't have existed otherwise. Some were strong, some were weak.

A gifted engineer, who was also an apostle, crafted the first machine that could quantify the strength and weaknesses of these newly awakened humans, which he powered with mana cores.

That had been a game changer for humanity and everyone wanted what he had made for their country.

Surprisingly, instead of capitalizing on the thing he had crafted, the apostle instead gave out the schematics to the entire world for free.

All he asked in return was that they pray to the god that he was the Apostle of.

The rest of the story was simple. More and more people started gaining power, and the government found that it needed to step in to manage them.

Now, there was a division for hunters in every country who either worked for the government or worked for private guilds who still had to work together with the government for everything.

As for the Apostles, they were usually so strong that they were either the head, the vice head, or just solo contractors for the government.

It had been over 4 years since then and the only thing that had changed was that a few of the countries had suffered devastating defeats during the Dungeon break.

The country that seemed to have succeeded the most was surprisingly South Korea, despite it being a smaller nation.

"Oh, this world has gods too. Are you going to reprise your title here too, master?" White Depth Field asked.

"Umm, no," Ning said as he didn't give much thought to what he was saying. He focused a bit more on the apostles' part of the information before stopping.

"It says that a few select humans were first given powers by these beings that call themselves gods, but they seem to have a word that they use to describe themselves even more," Ning said.

"Constellations."

Ning's eyes narrowed. "Are they… who I think they are?" he asked.

<Yes, those are constellation wills.>

"Wills… am I in trouble?" he asked. "Should I be taking in their energy?"

<The energy does not belong to them, so you are fine.>

"Explain a bit more about Constellations," Ning said.

<Constellations as the name suggest are wills formed of a collective group of stars that stay together in the eyes of distant worlds.>

<when enough worlds view them as something singular, if any of the worlds in the constellation stars have a planet with an origin, they form a Constellation will>

<however, because they were formed with thoughts from outside worlds, they never actually have any powers in their own worlds.>

<when the distant worlds that did give them form start to disappear, so do they. So, most of the time, the constellations go out of their way to search for new planets and have the beings on that planet take notice of them.>

<It does not matter whether they take notice of them directly, or simply remember their existence. As long as the beings with souls keep them in their memory, the Constellations can continue their survival.>

<Also, since they always operate outside of their own system, the energy of those worlds is harmless to a host of the energy system as it is never under the control of the constellations.>

"I see," Ning said. "So I am safe for now."

He drove the car as he gave the information some thought. "So, the constellations are trying to appear as a savior so that they can continue their survival, huh? Calling themselves gods sure is a way to make people remember you."

"Still, how many constellations are there exactly that are operating on earth?" Ning asked.

<There are as of yet 144 Constellations that are operating here.>

"Holy… that's a big number. How many Apostles do they have again?" he asked.

<there are about 500 Apostles in the entire world, but they all belong to about 90 Constellations.>

Ning's eyes narrowed quite a bit. "That math doesn't add up. What about the other 54 constellations? Do they not want publicity?" he asked.

<They do, but they are biding for their time>

"For what exactly?" Ning asked.

<For the dungeons to be done with filling Earth with Mana. Then, the dungeons will forever turn into portals to the other universe, letting in beast after beast to terrorize the humans.>

"What? What would that achieve? Don't they need the humans?" Ning asked.

<No, they only need the humans to keep them in their memories. Whether they do it by helping them or harming them, it is entirely up to a Constellation's will.>
