Chapter 242: Nostalgia Astrid's POV "All the bags are packed already, Miss Astrid. Are you ready to leave?" Our Pack Omega spoke up, interrupting my conversation with Nova.
I turned to face him with a small smile. "We should leave. The Silvermoon Pack's Alpha and Luna must have left already. We shouldn't delay any longer," I answered him.
He nodded his head and went to the driver's seat to start the car.
I thought I would be traveling with Killian and Giselle, but Alpha Theron made sextra arrangements. He personally took care of my travel plan, making sure that I would be both safe and comfortable in my journey.
I felt a wave of relief wash overat the thought of not being trapped in a small space with Killian and his family for the whole ride. I'm sure it would be both uncomfortable and awkward for all of us. At least I wouldn't have to face them yet until I arrived. "Nova, I got to leave. Take care of Drystan for me, will you?" I asked her with a small smile.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtNova smiled back, her eyes warm with assurance. "Don't worry. Just focus on your mission, Astrid. You don't have to worry about us as long as I'm here." "Thanks, Nova, I really appreciate it," I replied, feeling a sense of comfort in her words.
"Even if you didn't say it, I would still take care of everyone," she assured me. "You should go now. The driver is already waiting for you," Nova urged, pushingaway gently.
With one last smile, I turned and headed towards the car. Just as I was about to climb inside, I heard someone shouting my nagain.
""Wait! Astrid!" I stepped back to see who the person was. Turning to see who it was, I spotted Andros staring atwith a smile on his face. My heart lifted when I saw him.
"Andros!" I called out with a mixture of surprise and warmth filling me.
He jogged over with an earnest expression on his face. "I just wanted to wish you good luck on your mission. I know it's a big step." I smiled upon hearing his words. I didn't expect that he would chere to showhis support. "Thanks! That means a lot." While Asha treatedwith hatred and hostility, Andros welcomedwith open arms and treatedthe sway he treated his full-blooded sister.
Because of him, it made it easy forto bear with Asha's hostility towards me. If it wasn't for him, I would completely feel like an alienated person in this Pack.
He made things much more bearable for me. It was enough forto see him as my own brother.
"Take care of yourself out there, Astrid. Don't pressure yourself too much, and if you need help, you can always call me. Don't be afraid to return here anytyou want," Andros said, his voice warm and reassuring.
They were born to the sparents, and they shake the sblood, but Andros grew up differently from Asha. While Asha was willful and narrow-minded, Andros exuded kindness and maturity. It madeponder how Alpha Theron kad raised them.
One had been disciplined and trained, shaped into a reliable individual, while the other had been spoiled, left to indulge in her own whims.
The contrast was stark, and it was clear how their upbringings had influenced their personalities.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmguess Asha is lucky that she can be as reckless and willful as she wants because she has her powerful father and dependable brother to always keep her safe and protected.
Meanwhile, I had no one else, so I always had to be careful.
"Oh, and I forgot," Andros spoke up, interrupting my thoughts. "Send us a message as soon as you arrive. Father may not seem like it, but there's nothing that could explain how much he cares about you." I nodded, feeling a warm flutter at his words. "Of course." Before, I had to be careful because I had no one else to rely on. Now, I have to be careful because there are people who care aboutand wouldn't want to seeget hurt.
"You must send us a message of your safe arrival to ease father's worries," he continued. "You had been separated from us for so many years, Astrid. Now that you are back, we had to let go of you again." Andros's voice turned soft at the end, revealing raw emotion beneath.
"I will," I answered with a promise, feeling a warmth spread through me. "I'll try my best to send news back to the Packout to send Packmore often." My heart felt heavy, yet grateful for his words. "Then, I'll hold you to that promise," Andros replied with a gentle smile. With a final wave, I climbed into the
car. Silence engulfedduring the entire ride, my thoughts swirling as reflected on my conversations with Andros, Nova, and Alpha Theron." Each moment replayed in my mind, words echoing with a mix of warmth and concern. thout P
As the landscape blurred past the window, I couldn't help but wonder about the future. Before I knew it, I had already arrived at the Silvermoon Pack. I had been so occupied by my thoughts that thad flown by quickly. As the car cto a stop, I took a deep breath to compose myself.
