Chapter 231: Which Decision? Andros's POV All eyes turned onin surprise when I suddenly stood up and volunteered to challenge Andros.
Out of the corner of my eye, I caught Andros glancing at me, his gaze piercing and intense, a mix of curiosity and irritation.
As the room fell into charged silence, I didn't shift my focus from Alpha Theron. I stared at him with unwavering determination, willing him to see my resolve.
"Alpha," I began, my voice steady, "Lethandle the mission. As a previous member of the Silvermoon Pack, I am already familiar with the people. I can give them the support that they need." Andros stepped forward, his expression shifting to one of fierce determination. "This mission is critical, and it requires someone with my experience. You may know the people, but I have the skills to lead us through this safely. You can't underestimate the dangers we face." The tension in the room thickened as his words echoed in the silence. For sreason, Andros is really determined to take on this mission. I could see the weight of the argument, but I refused to back down.

Your skills are undeniable, but this isn't just about strength or strategy; it's about connection. I can bridge the gap between our Packs," I faced Andros, directing my words to him.
"You are forgetting what this mission requires, Astrid. We need someone who can train the Silvermoon Pack's Warriors. Of course, they needed someone strong, someone they could respect in terms of strength," Andros replied with a smirk, his confidence radiating. I couldn't help but smile at his words, knowing he had already lost the argument. I squared my shoulders, my voice steady and clear. "I used to be the leader of the Silvermoon Pack's Warriors. I was their strongest warrior," I paused, letting my words sink in. Then I turned to face Alpha Theron once again. "I understand the weight of this mission, and I am prepared to shoulder that responsibility. Please trustto handle this mission. I know the Silvermoon Pack inside and out, and I'm the best leader that their warriors could have." Andros opened his mouth, about to argue once again, but Alpha Theron cut him off. "Enough," he said, his voice firm and commanding. "Astrid, your experience and understanding of the Silvermoon Pack are undeniable. I choose you for this mission.
A wave of relief washed overwhen I heard his decision. Still, I maintained my composure, knowing the challenges ahead.
Andros stood frozen, disbelief etched across his face. He couldn't comprehend that his father would chooseover him. The room was silent, the weight of the moment heavy in the air.
"Father, I was also trained for this. You know I need this opportunity to apply my training and to prove myself," he finally sputtered.
Alpha Theron's gaze remained steady. "Don't take this personally, Andros. As you have said, this mission is critical, and it concerns the safety of Packs. We had to choose the best option we have." The tension crackled as Andros struggled to process his father's words, his mind racing. I could see the conflict within him, the struggle between pride and the harsh reality of the situation.
It's the first tI've seen him acting differently from himself. He is turning his father's decision into something more personal.
Alpha Theron cleared his throat, drawing everyone's attention once more. "Tomorrow, I will set a meeting with all the other Alphas to inform them of our discussions today. I'll explain to them the direction that we are taking." He turned to me, his tone firm yet reassuring. will speak to Alpha Killian personally about this matter I'll tell him that you will be staying in his Pack to help strengthen his military defenses in preparation for a possible rogue attack." Alpha Theron stared atintently as if trying to see through me, to see if I was really sure about this. I nodded my head, agreeing to all his words, assuring him.
The room buzzed with a mix of excitement and apprehension. Sof their eyes were still on me, probably wondering what I was feeling or thinking of right now.

"It's good if we can discuss these matters with Alpha Killian early. Hopefully I can cwith him on his return to his Pack. The earlier we make Qur preparations, the better," I added to clear whatever worries t Alpha Theron had in his mind.
Although I know that if he didn't trust me, he wouldn't have agreed to letstay in the Silvermoon Pack.
"Prepare yourselves, everyone," Alpha Theron concluded as he faced us all. "We have a lot of work ahead, and I expect nothing less than full commitment from each of you." I felt the weight of responsibility settle on my shoulders as the thought of going back to Silvermoon Pack with the pretense of helping them entered my mind.
"For the others, continue on your mission and inform us immediately when you suspect unusuaKactivities. Meeting dismissed," Alpha Theron thundered. Everyone stood up from their seat and started to leave one by one. When I was about to take my leave,
Alpha Theron suddenly heldback.
"Astrid, I know you are already sure about this, but just in case you change your mind along the way, don't hesitate to tell me. I can always think of a plan to help you." My body tensed when I heard his words. I'm not sure whether he is talking about my decision to volunteer or my plans to get my revenge.
