Chapter 265 The Scheme

Third Person POV

“Shut up!”

Alpha Henry’s roar shook the walls. His eyes burned red as he glared at the murmuring guests.

Bailey’s ploy was obvious-she meant to destroy Aubrey’s name.

Mariana quickly snapped out of her daze and slammed the door shut, putting on a show of panic.

“N-no... that isn’t Aubrey! She didn’t go into this room!”

But her clumsy denial only fanned the flames. The whispers grew more certain.

“pidn’t expect that omega to be so depraved. Look at all those males, and only one female...”

“She doesn’t even look like she knows what she’s doing.”

“Of course she doesn’t-probably got used up until her mind broke. Who could withstand that?”

The ugly, snickering comments made Henry's stomach turn.

He didn’t care about the Kajit virus raging in his body-his aura exploded outward in a crushing wave of alpha

dominance.

The wolves dropped like struck animals, faces blanching as they collapsed, mouths trembling too much to form

words.

At once, the room fell into silence.

“Get. Out!” Henry's voice was thunder, and none dared disobey.

Elsewhere, in a hidden chamber.

The door opened and someone whispered in Bailey’s ear. Her lips curved into a triumphant smile. “Perfect. Alpha

Henry came, just as | planned.”

Aubrey’s eyes narrowed. “What did you do?”

“It's simple.” Bailey leaned lazily against Justin, her smile dripping with venom. “I lured him here to see the

omega he adores, tangled up with nearly twenty males. And | made sure plenty of witnesses were there to

watch. Unless Henry slaughters them all, by tomorrow every wolf in Shadowmoon Pack will know how shameless,

how filthy you are.”

Chapter 265 The Scheme

Her voice dropped, her eyes glinting with madness. She had risen high now as the daughter of the southern

continent's alpha, but the shof her past clung to her like rot. Because of Aubrey, every Shadowmoon wolf

looked at her as though she were unclean.

She had arrived here as the envoy of Fog Pack, met with polite words and respectful bows. But beneath their

eyes lingered disdain. And when they spoke of Aubrey, their tone was full of genuine respect.

Why? Why should Aubrey-a mere omega-be respected, while she was sneered at?

“So you had someone impersonate me?”

Aubrey’s tone turned strange, and Bailey, lost in her gloating, didn’t notice.

“Of course. | had her face remade in Harovia to look exactly like yours. | dosed her too, so even if

Henry questions her, he’ll get nothing. Or maybe he won’t even bother to ask. Maybe he’ll just kill

her outright.” Bailey’s smile widened, cruel. “And what he does next decides your fate, dear sister.”

“If he kills that omega, then once Justin’s had his fun, you’ll have to die too. If he saves her, then

better still-we’ll trade you for her, and your reputation will be ruined forever.”

Her voice dripped with vicious delight. “Either way, whether you live or die, your nwill rot. You

should be grateful you chere at all. If you hadn’t, Jax wouldn’t be the only one-I still have far

more interesting tricks waiting for you. 1 only wonder if you’ll be able to survive them.”

Everything Bailey had once wanted but couldn’t do, she could now.

And what if Henry learned the truth? What if he knew she was the one behind it all?

What of it?

She was the Fog Pack alpha’s daughter now. If Henry killed her, it could mean war between north

and south.
