Chapter 761 Nathalie was baffled. Did she genuinely dislike Greta, or was she just being difficult for the sake of it? Honestly, she'd been so swamped lately, juggling both the company and dealing with Nathan, she hardly had the bandwidth for anything else.

"What exactly have I done to her?" Nathalie asked, irritation seeping into her voice.

Miranda's tone was heavy with accusation. "Your sister's been to several hospitals, and they've all told her there's not a single nephrology specialist available. It can't just be a coincidence. It's obvious you've somehow ensured that the doctors who could help her are nowhere to be found, leaving her to suffer. Nellie, how can you be so heartless? Are you trying to push her to the brink?" Nathalie was momentarily stunned, mulling over the idea: Her dad had been in the hospital system for over twenty years; he knew the ins and outs better than anyone. This kind of shake-up had his fingerprints all over it. So, he really was looking out for her! But Nathalie wasn't about to own up to something she didn't do.

"I've got better things to do," she shot back.

"If it's not you, then who else?" Miranda pressed on, convinced it was Nathalie.

Lizzy jumped in, "Do you two really think you're all that? Blaming my sister for everything. She's got her hands full and doesn't have the tor patience for you two queens." "To me, it's your daughter's own actions catching up with her. Maybe it's karma giving her a taste of what she dished out to my sister. You want someone to blame? Try the universe." Miranda, hearing this, seemed like a fish floundering on dry land, struggling to find the words.

In the end, she broke down again, pleading, "Nell, I'm begging you, please help your sister. I'm asking you to save her." Nathalie sneered, "Help her? And what's in it for me?" Miranda, clearly uneasy, replied, "Your sister will be grateful..." "Grateful? You mean like when she took my kidney, or when she stole my husband, or my lover? That kind of gratitude?" Miranda's face went pale as a ghost.

"I'll make sure she doesn't bully you anymore." "Oh, like you never bullied me? Haven't you done enough damage?" Miranda flinched but quickly tried to play the moral card, accusing Nathalie of being small-minded:

"Nathalie, why are you still stuck in the past? It's been ages, and in the your sister and I past couple of years have cto see where we went wrong. Why can't you just le bygones be bygones?"

Nathalie, riled by her dismissive attitude, snapped back in fury: "You want to know why I can't let it go? Because you've never really owned NO up to your mistakes. You act like tis smagic eraser for everything you've done. But lettell you, wounds don't just disappear with time. They just hurt more when they're reopened."

"Do you realize, the stronger I get, the more I regret not standing up to you when you were tearingdown? Why y didn't just walk away when you were spewing insults? You took advantage of my youth and naivety, using our family ties to keepin check."
