Chapter 450 The Child's Father

In the afternoon, Charles Icahn, the carpenter's son, came for Reina with his bicycle.

The ten-year-old child looked up and asked sincerely, "Reina, can you drive

me to the neighboring town to repair my bicycle? I will pay you ten lollipops."

Reina teased him and said with a straight face, "No."

Charles was sad, and his face distorted. He said pitifully, "Please, I'll give you two more sausages."

Reina looked at the pitiful child and couldn't help but laugh. She touched his head and said, "Wait for me. I'll go to

the garage to drive the car."

"Thank you." Charles was so happy that he jumped up.

Reina drove the car out and got out to help Charles carry the bicycle. Charles refused, "Argus said you couldn't do

After folding the bicycle and putting it into the trunk, Charles got into the

car.

Jaylon had not slept much since he arrived. Trenton was worried about him and advised him to go back to the hotel

to take a rest.

Jaylon walked slowly. A boy rode a bicycle over. He held ice cream with one hand and controlled the handlebars with

the other. The boy accidentally bumped into Jaylon and fell to the ground.

Seeing that, the boy apologized, "Sir, I'm sorry. I will compensate you with ten lollipops."

Jaylon looked gloomy, which made the boy frightened.

The boy thought Jaylon would scold him, so he nervously grabbed his

clothes. "I'm so sorry. I will ask Reina to compensate you on my behalf. Don't be angry."

Jaylon was shocked and turned hopeful. "Who is Reina?"

The boy tilted his head and thought for a moment. "Reina is Reina."

The child didn't seem to be smart.

Jaylon tried to be calm and asked, "Can you take me to see Reina?"

Charles nodded. "OK."

Charles lifted the bicycle from the ground and took Jaylon to where the car was parked.

Walking to a white car, Charles patted the window. "Reina, I'm back. Open the door."

The sun was shining, so the window reflected light. It was impossible to

see the inside of the car.

Jaylon watched the car door and waited for the person in the car to come

out. His heart thumped violently.

The car door opened slowly.

The person who got out of the car was a handsome young man instead of

Reina.

"Charles, since your bicycle has been repaired, it is time to go back."

Charles felt strange.

He came to repair his bicycle with Reina. Why was Argus there?

"This gentleman said he wanted to see..."

Argus interrupted Charles, "Sir, I'm sorry. Has Charles offended you? I will

pay you for the laundry."

"Are you the only one in the car?" Jaylon asked and looked into the car.

Argus said calmly, "Yes."

Jaylon narrowed his eyes. When Argus didn't look at him, he opened the car

door and looked inside.

No one was in the car.

Argus grabbed Jaylon's wrist and said unhappily, "Sir, what are you doing?"

Jaylon was no longer excited and calmed down. He said, "I saw another person in the car just now. I might have

been wrong."

Jaylon shook off Argus' hand and said, "I will throw away the clothes. There

is no need for compensation. Bye."

Jaylon left without looking back.

Charles still didn't know what had happened. "Argus, where is Reina? Is she

not in the car?"

Argus patted Charles on the head and said, "Don't tell anyone you know

Reina. Do you understand?"

"Alright." Charles was confused.

Reina sat straight up in the back seat after Charles and Argus got into the

car.

She was still in a state of shock, and her forehead was covered in sweat. "Argus, why are you here?"

"I heard you went out, so I came to look." Argus started the car. "Do you

know that man?"

Reina wanted to deny it. Since she had decided to accept Argus, she shouldn't lie to him.

After hesitating, Reina said, "He is the father of the child in my belly."

"Did he come here to find you?" Argus asked with a strange expression.

Reina leaned against the back of the seat and looked at the exotic scenery

outside. "Should be."

After a long silence, Argus asked, "Will you go with him?"

"I don't want to go with him."

However, if Jaylon found Reina, whether she could stay in the country was

not up to her.

Argus said, "Since you don't want to go with him, I won't allow him to take

you away."

Reina turned to look at Argus from the rearview mirror. "Do you have a

way?"

Argus said, "Everyone in the town is kind and united. I will tell them the man

wants to imprison you. Then, everyone will help you."

Reina said gratefully, "Thank you."

When they went back to the town, Argus told the people in the town about

the bad man trying to capture Reina.

After Reina came to the town, she got along well with everyone and helped

many people.

When the people in the town heard Reina was in danger, everyone agreed to

help her.

An hour after Argus returned to the town, Jaylon's men arrived.
