Chapter 132 Robbing A Bank

Eileen spoke without hesitation, although she wasn’t sure how many people had heard her. She was

unsure about what Elm had been through, but in that moment, she was on Elm’s side. Elm had risked

his life to save me, so I should at least find the courage to stand up and protect him. Besides, he was

innocently slapped by Yvette.

At the same time, Eileen knew that Elm had always been a proud individual.

Eileen packed up her books and left the library with Elm.

“Stop right there!” Yvette yelled.

However, neither Eileen nor Elm turned around.

“Are you finished?” Eric’s voice suddenly turned icy.

Yvette looked at him and saw his deep eyes filled with absolute coldness. The once warm library

seemed to have dropped in temperature, as if the air around her had become colder.

She had never encountered such a terrifying aura. “What?”

Without saying a word, Eric left with measured steps.

He walked quickly, so Yvette had to jog to keep up.

Watching him get into the car, Yvette was afraid that he might leave without her. She quickly climbed

into the passenger seat.

She fastened her seatbelt, but Eric didn’t start the car. His eyes, deep and inscrutable, seemed lost in

thought.

“I’m here to help you. Why are you getting angry at me when you’re the one who didn’t bring the person

back?” Yvette said, feeling somewhat wronged. That was the first time she had spoken to someone in

such a manner.

In his presence, she simply couldn’t hold back her emotions.

“Eric… Is everything Eileen just said true?” she asked softly, unable to resist glancing at his handsome,

sculpted profile. /

“Do you want to know the answer?” He glanced sideways, locking eyes with her.

Yvette’s heart skipped a beat, her heartbeat unusually erratic.

His deep, magnetic voice resonated, and Yvette was instantly captivated by his gaze. At that

moment, her heart was racing.

She shook her head and said, “I don’t want to know anymore. It’s your family matter. It has nothing to

do with me. Eric, it’s so late. Hurry up and take me home. I’m exhausted.”

Yvette covered her mouth, sneezing lightly, a flicker of something unusual quickly passing through her

eyes.

Upon returning home, Eileen took an egg out of the refrigerator, boiled it, and had Elm roll it over his

face. The slap that Yvette gave him was not light. She didn’t have any medicine on hand, so that was

the best she could do.

“Come over once you’re done.” After tidying up the dining table, she took out my backpack and spread

out the books.

There was still plenty of time, so she thought she could learn a few more Uprian words.

Elm stood up and walked over. “You really love studying, don’t you?”

Eileen sat down and looked up at him. “What are you doing?”

“What do you mean? I’m eating the egg!” He had already swallowed half of it while the other half was

still in his mouth.

“I gave it to you so that you could roll it over your cheek!” Eileen said.

Elm pulled out a chair and sat down next to her. “Don’t worry. I’m not that dramatic.”

Eileen looked at his smiling face, feeling a strange sensation in her heart. How is he still able to smile

now?

Seeing him like that, Eileen didn’t say anything else.

“Where were we?” he asked.

“Your paper,” she reminded.

Eileen took out the paper, discussing the topic while writing the process and answers.

She explained as thoroughly as possible. In truth, Elm was really intelligent, but he just didn’t want to

study.

By the time she posed another question, Elm was completely capable of solving it.

It showed that there had been some progress, so at least the effort wasn’t in vain.

Gradually, they forgot about what had just happened and began to fully immerse themselves.

their studies

Before they knew it, it was almost midnight.

Let’s call it a day. Elm closed the pen cap.

By the time she lifted her head again, Elm had already conscientiously moved to the edge of the couch,

spreading out the blanket. Eileen looked at him, her thin lips parting as if to say something, but the

words were swallowed back down. Forget about it. I’ll just let him stay here one more night.

With that in mind, Eileen asked, “Do you want to take a bath?”

Elm straightened up, raising an eyebrow. “What are you up to?”

“Put away your dirty thoughts. I’m afraid you might stink!” Eileen responded. What exactly goes through

his mind every day?

Heading to the room, she fetched a bathrobe for him. “It’s new. I’ve never worn it before.”

Elm took it and said, “Oh… It’s pink.”

Eileen went to freshen up because she had already showered at school earlier that day.

She didn’t shower the day before because he was there.

After she was done with everything, she let him use the bathroom.

When she arrived in the room and was about to close the door behind her, she heard Elm saying, “I

also want to take the Hulbury University entrance exam.”

Eileen’s lips curled up slightly. “Understood. Go to bed early. Good night.”

“Good night,” Elm replied.

The next day, early in the morning, Eileen, having tidied up, came out to see a slender figure standing

in the kitchen. He had one hand tucked in his pocket, the other holding a fork.

Considering his pampered life, Eileen thought he wouldn’t know how to cook. This is my first time

seeing a man cook in the kitchen. In the mindset of some men, cooking in the kitchen is something that

women should be doing. Well, even that person has never once cooked a meal for me.

“Come bring the noodles,” he said without turning his head.

Eileen set down her backpack and walked over. Upon closer inspection, the slap mark on his face had

faded slightly, but there were still some red marks elsewhere.

“What did you cook?”

You have nothing here. What am I supposed to cook?” Elm asked.

As it turned out, he ate the last egg she had the night before.

The only things on the noodles were green peppers and tomatoes.

Eileen took a bite and found that the tomato soup mixed with the noodles gave the dish a slightly sour

taste, but it was also fragrant and appetizing. She had never tried such a dish

before!

“Not bad. It’s really delicious,” Eileen commented.

“That bowl will cost you eight dollars,” the server said.

Eileen was taken aback. “Would you like me to rob a bank instead? Here, take it back. I won’t eat

anymore.”

Elm took off his apron and approached. “I was just joking. Let’s eat.”

Before he could even sit down, Elm’s phone started ringing.

He picked it up and glanced at it. Eileen noticed his serious expression. Without saying a word, he

walked to the balcony with his phone in hand.

Eileen stopped eating and observed his facial expression. She immediately guessed who was calling.

However, the phone call ended quickly.

In just a few seconds, Elm returned and sat down in front of her.

Neither of them mentioned the call.

After finishing their meal, Eileen waited for him so they could leave together.

On the way to school, Eileen already anticipated the situation she would face that day.

As they walked, people passing by gave them strange looks.

“Have you heard? Eileen was sexually assaulted by several men.”

“Really? I heard from others that it didn’t happen.”

“It’s true! Her brother was there and didn’t do anything to help! If you don’t believe me, check out the

posts on the forum. There’s even a photo. It’s all over the place now.”
