Chapter 830

What Sarah didn't know was that Lysander wasn't acting alone. He had help. This whole setup had been carefully

planned.

"What did you just say?" Zachary's grip on his phone tightened so hard his knuckles turned white. The air around

him seemed to thicken with pressure.

Even over the phone, Vivian could feel the shift. She took a quiet breath, forcing her voice to stay calm. "Didn't

you want to know what really happened to your grandfather that day? Why he suddenly passed out? | can tell

you."

Zachary had never trusted her, and now they were basically on opposing sides. "What's the catch?"

Vivian only needed to stall him. She paused, then shifted her tone, adding a trace of wistfulness. “If | say there's

no catch, you won't believeanyway."

Before Zachary could respond, she continued, "I'll be at Springbar on Mindy Street. Twenty minutes. I'll tell you

everything face to face if you're willing to come."

With that, she hung up.

Zachary didn't hesitate. He got up immediately, ready to leave.

His assistant happened to walk in just then, holding a stack of documents. Seeing Zachary about to head out, he

stopped in surprise. "Mr. Reynolds, you've got a meeting in half an hour."

Zachary glanced at him coolly. "Reschedule it. If I'm not back by five, cancel it."

Meanwhile, Vivian casually changed out of her outfit and headed for the bathroom.

One of the maids, still unfamiliar with her routines, couldn't help but ask, "Miss, aren't you going out?"

Vivian paused, adjusting the shawl draped over her shoulders. Her gaze turned cold. "You're new, aren't you?"

The maid blinked. "I started yesterday."

Vivian let out a quiet “mm,” then said flatly, “I don't need you here. You can go now."

Sensing the shift in her tone, the maid quickly backed out of the room, not daring to ask anything else.

Back at Springbar, Zachary arrived right on time-only to be told by the manager that there was no reservation

under Vivian's name.

He swallowed his frustration and called her again. "Where are you?"

Vivian, still at home, answered without missing a beat, "Traffic. Just get a private room. I'll be there soon."

Zachary pressed his fingers to his temples and hung up without another word.

Nearly ten minutes passed before Vivian finally strolled in, fashionably late.

Zachary sat on the sofa, his expression cold, his whole presence radiating an unapproachable chill.

Vivian stood in the doorway for a few seconds, unabashedly letting her eyes linger on him, drinking in the sight.

Then, as if flipping a switch she slipped back into her elegant heiress persona and walked inside. s

"I didn't bring a recording device," Zachary said coldly. "You can just say what you chere to say."

The server, taken aback by the tension, froze for a moment before bowing his head and pretending not to

understand.

Vivian flushed with embarrassment but forced a smile. "We'll have two orders of foie gras. Let your chef decide

on the rest."

"Of course. Please wait just a moment," the server said before backing out of the room.

Once the door closed, Vivian's expression changed. Her eyes were full of bitterness.

"Zachary," she said through clenched teeth, "do you have to make things this ugly between us?"

Zachary had run out of patience. His

voice was sharp. "I think you're overestimating our relationship Miss Wilson If you want something, just say it.

I'm open to

negotiation-interest for interest." s
