Chapter 300
Yvette went on, "And | keep dreaming about our old times. Remember back in high school during gym class?
You'd skip your class just to catch a glimpse of me..." Xavier replied with a hint of impatience, "You still
remember that?"
"I could never forget, Xavier. Those memories are ours," Yvette stated earnestly. After a pause, she asked with a
touch of sadness, "Xavier, have you forgotten?"
"No." Xavier said curtly. By now, he couldn't keep up the facade any longer. Maybe it was the feelings that had
slowly been eroded over time, or that recurring figure haunting his dreams.
Yvette didn't dig deeper. Since Xavier had finally cby, she naturally wanted to make the most of their time
together. She moved closer, her cheeks reddening like apples, and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Xavier,
will you kiss me?" she asked. It had been so long since they shared a moment like this.
Xavier gazed into those timid eyes and rosy cheeks, and a memory popped into his head-the first kiss with
Yasmine. The wedding was simple and elegant, and he had gone through the motions with the host. Suddenly,
the crowd broke into cheers, urging him to kiss the bride.
Standing before Yasmine in her pristine white wedding gown, he found her slightly bowed head utterly charming.
He could even detect a gentle pink blush on her nose. Encouraged by the playful voices around, Yasmine lifted
her gaze, her eyes shining with warmth and laughter. She held the hem of her dress nervously, yet lovingly.
With the gown's large skirt concealing all else, nobody noticed a thing. Cradling Yasmine's head gently, he
leaned down slowly, his cool lips meeting the warmth of hers. His other hand rested on her shoulder, feeling the
subtle tremor of her body beneath his touch. He gave her a brief, emotionless kiss and pulled back, wrapping
Yasmine in a casual embrace as if he merely wanted to hold her. He could feel the intense beating of her heart
against his chest-her heart was racing.

The scene shifted from the wedding as it faded, and Yasmine in her white dress becYvette, her face clouded
with worry. His heart skipped a beat, thinking, 'It's not her!"
"Xavier, what's up?" Yvette finally noticed something off about him. From the moment he walked in, he'd been
out of it.
Xavier, snapping back to reality, cast a complex look at the half-full bowl of braised pork soup Yvette set down.
"Why didn't you finish it?" he asked.
Yvette didn't answer him. Instead, she looked at him, confused. "Xavier, are you okay? You seem distracted. Did
something happen?"
Xavier shook his head reassuringly, "It's nothing, really. Don't worry. Right now, your focus should be on taking
care of yourself and the baby. Leave the rest to me."
Yvette felt a warmth spread through her heart as she gazed at Xavier. It was clear now that he'd been worried
about her all along.
"Get srest. I'm heading out," Xavier said, standing up to leave. He couldn't sit calmly with Yvette while his
mind was consumed with thoughts of Yasmine. Yvette's eyes went wide. "Already? You've hardly been here half
an hour." She had just managed to see Xavier, and now he was leaving?
Xavier pinched the bridge of his nose. "There's still work at the office, Yvette. I'll be back another day."
Yvette's eyes were slightly red. "Xavier, | really miss you. | wake up from nightmares and cry because you're not
there." Her

voice was full of sadness; and Xavier fell touched. He knew how tough the pregnancy had been, especially with
no one around when she was sick.
He sat back down. "Yvette, I'm sorry. It's my fault for not being there for you..."
That afternoon, Yasmine headed to school with Yoselin, leaving Donna alone at the Sanchez residence.
While Finola was busy cleaning the back garden, Donna quietly slipped out of her room and paused outside
Yoselin's door. She glanced around, ensuring no one was nearby, before carefully taking out a key to unlock
Yasmine's door.
This room was likely the largest, aside from the master bedroom Clenching her fists, she thought, 'Why does
Yasmine get everything without any effort?’ Morgan's affectionate attention was never given to her.
Donna moved silently as she rummaged through Yasmine's room. When she spotted a laptop on the bedside
table, she was about to open it but instead noticed a manila envelope underneath. With curiosity, she pulled it
out and, seeing what was inside, felt a rush of happiness. This was exactly what she had been searching for.
She spread the documents back out on the bed, taking a photo of each page with her phone. Once everything
was in place, she left Yasmine's room quietly.
"Hey, Aunt Ivette, is this what you were looking for? I've sent it all over to you." Donna said, delighted by how
easily she got everything.
At the White Group building, Irene was on the top floor in her office, going over a proposal from the planning
department about Crescent Isle. William had already given his approval, but Irene felt something was still not
quite right.

A new email pinged in, and she opened it without much thought. Her hand shook-she couldn't believe she got it
so fast. Pressing the call button, her assistant cin swiftly. She handed over the tablet and instructed, "Send
this proposal to the tech team. | need the renderings and effect drawings within a week."
"A week?" The assistant stared at Irene, wide-eyed with shock.
Irene nodded seriously. "Tell the tech team to drop everything and focus entirely on the drawings. If they manage
to finish within a week, they'll get a week off and double their bonus."
The assistant hurried out, clutching the tablet.

After leaving the villa, Xavier didn't go home. Instead, he headed to Aurelith University. He stood near the
counseling office, not going in, just watching from afar, unable to figure out what exactly he wanted.
At 7:30, the classroom lights went out, leaving only the light from the counseling office on. Xavier watched as
Yoselin went inside but hadn't seen her cout yet.
He sat there silently for two hours, his eyes fixed on the counseling office, imagining Yasmine inside. Finally, the
office lights. turned off and the glass door swung open.
Yoselin was the first to step out, with Yasmine locking the door behind them. They strolled out of the school
gates, chatting and laughing all the way. He knew Yoselin and Yasmine always got along great. Xavier stood at a
distance, just watching without saying a word. At that moment, he thought to himself, simply observing like this
might be just fine.
