Chapter 292
Yoselin was on edge, unable to relax as a wave of kidnappings had left her nerves raw. Even walking down the
street, she'd find herself scared of any random man passing by. Noticing the tight furrow in her brow, Yasmine
realized it was a stress response. She quietly resolved to take action. When Morgan brought Caleb inside,
Christine hurried over to him, her heart aching with worry. "Caleb, my dear, why have you gotten so thin in just
three days?"
Donna moved closer and asked, "Morgan, did someone beat you up while you were in the detention center?"
"No, no," Caleb hastily denied. He looked unusually nervous, stealing a glance towards Yasmine as he continued
to vehemently deny it.
Donna eventually figured it out. She turned to Yasmine, pointing and demanding, "Yasmine, did you mess with
something? Grandma, Mom, | just remembered something."
Donna stared at Yasmine in shock. "Mom, don't any of you remember what Yasmine said the first twe sought
her out? She mentioned she'd have a way to get Morgan to confess even if he never admitted it. Now I finally get
what she meant-it was a forced confession all along, wasn't it?"
Aunt Ivette was just as stunned by the situation spiraling out of control. She looked at Yasmine, sharing her
disbelief. "Yasmine, is everything she's saying true?"
"Aunt Ivette, if you believed her from the start, why ask me? Shouldn't the question be directed at Caleb to find
out if someone was sent to beat him up?" Yasmine glanced coldly at everyone present.
Morgan let out a cold sneer, "Caleb hasn't even spoken, and you're all so ready to blmy cousin. Were you all
plotting this together from the beginning?"
"What do you mean by that? I'm just raising a reasonable doubt here." Donna quickly hid behind Claire.
Caleb suddenly spoke up, "Grandma, Auntie, no one has hurt me. I'm doing just fine in the detention center. I've

because of Donna. She's the one who pushedto do it." Donna's eyes flew wide open. "Cousin, what are you

"Grandma, I'm telling the truth," Caleb said firmly. "She toldthat everything at the Sanchez family would
eventually be Yasmine's. If | could win Yasmine over, it'd all be mine too. After we first met, Yasmine wasn't that
impressed with me. Donna suggested that | should make a decisive move. Once | did, everyone would know, and
she'd have to be with me."
Christine was stunned, never expecting that Donna would show her true intentions. "What nonsense are you
talking about? Donna is your cousin. How can you accuse her just to defend that little brat?" Claire immediately
pulled her daughter behind her. Yasmine looked at Morgan, who gave her a nod of approval.
Yoselin, intrigued by the unfolding chaos, said, "Yasmine, who would've guessed that girl seemed so gentle and
sweet, but she's actually more malicious than Helen. At least Helen would never betray her own brother."
"Once Caleb steps out of line, it doesn't matter if it's minor or major," Yasmine remarked sternly.
"I see," Christine said with a fierce glare at Donna. "Did Caleb really say that?"
"No, Grandmother, you have to trust me. | could never do something like this. It's all Yasmine's plan to getin
trouble," Donna pleaded frantically to Christine.

Caleb continued, "Everon the way to the hospital, she kept tellingnot to mention her involvement."

"You're lying, Morgan. Look closely and see who's really trying to hurt you," Donna shouted almost wildly,
pointing the finger at Caleb.

Yoselin sneered at Donna, "Look at yourself; you look like a madwoman. Even Morgan has called you out, so why
are you still trying to argue?"
FD
"Yoselin. No one knows why you're here. This is the Sanchez residence, and you don't get to speak. It's clear to
anyone that Yasmine is the one behind the scenes pulling strings."
Caleb shook his head angrily, "Grandmother, it was Donna. Now something's happened, and she's trying to

Christine's gaze turned icy; she rarely displayed such displeasure "Since this was Donna's idea, it has nothing to
do withor Caleb."
She started to leave with Caleb, but Morgan blocked her way, "Grandmother, what about Caleb harassing
Yasmine? How should that be handled?"
"Saying such inappropriate things for someone so young! That's all Donna's doing and doesn't involve Caleb at
all. She's the real troublemaker." Irritated, Christine tried to push Morgan aside. "Move!" she demanded, shoving

over with Donna.
Christine threw a cold remark over her shoulder: "Since the Mayfields made a mistake, we should explain to our
in-laws. You two should
stay
here since this whole mess began with Donna. We can't let people talk badly about the Mayfields."
With those icy words, she grabbed Caleb and swiftly exited the Sanchez residence.
Claire and Donna stood frozen in shock, watching Christine's hurried retreat.
"I won't let you off so easily," Morgan vowed, watching Caleb's figure retreating away.
With only Donna and Claire left in the hall, they were stunned that Christine just took Caleb and left them there.
Claire felt a chill; she knew how much Christine adored Caleb. Now-that her grandson was finally free, of course,
she'd want to take him hright away. Donna, filled with panic, glanced at her mother. "Mom, what do we do
now?" she asked anxiously. Claire snapped back to reality, with Morgan and Yasmine turning their attention to
her.
Brody and Calvin were about to speak when Uncle Sanchez interrupted them. "Remember what Christine said?
The Mayfields won't tolerate gossip. | think it's clear now, so why don't you both go home?"
Brody and Calvin exchanged a look, nodded in agreement, and left the Sanchez residence.
Aunt Ivette looked at Yasmine with keen interest, eager to uncover how Yasmine persuaded Caleb to say those
things.
"What do you want?" Donna shot back defiantly, locking eyes with Yasmine, refusing to back down.
