Brad couldn't believe her claims about Adam beating her because he knew Adam too well.
Adam would scold people and deal with business rivals harshly. But he always fought his opponents openly and fairly. He would never bully the younger ones or women.
After hearing Jean's tearful complaint, Brad decided to visit Harborview Hospital himself.
Just as he arrived at the hospital, however, he spotted Nadine's figure from a distance. She seemed to get cold easily, always bundling herself up tightly in winter, leaving only her eyes exposed. But even with only her eyes visible, Brad immediately recognized her.
