'What an extraordinary fleshy body! She has an unprecedented degree of harmony with the world's ambient mana. The shine in her eyes contains signs of exceptional mental strength. What type of unique Psyche does she possess? And her Astral Core! What is that size?! She looks so...so... delicious!!!'
San Yongli's staunch spirit and unyielding spirit to fight an Ascended being wasn't what caused the Evil Sentinel to be surprised; her extraordinary aspects were what drew his attention, like finding a scrumptious pie sitting out on the windowsill, how could one not be surprised? How could one not feel the urge to just...TAKE IT!! EAT IT!!
The charcoal-skinned Evil Sentinel licked his lips with sadistic, ravenous hunger. This was the first time since the start of his life as an Ascended being that he had ever felt such a desire towards a mere mortal. And it was maddening! He didn't pay any further attention to the other two fleeing rats, long since having remembered their auras, the charcoal-skinned Evil Sentinel decided to have that little snack later.
Watching from afar, Wen Mingna's robes fluttered with the breezy wind, granting her a sight of elusive beauty that was one with heavenly fortune and misfortune. She observed the Evil Sentinel holding the faintest of smiles, satisfied as if she were a painter who was critiquing their recent work. When she looked at San Yongli, she briefly sent a spiritual transmission under the power of time, fate, and mind. Despite being released, not even the charcoal-skinned Evil Sentinel could sense it.
"How can I help?" She sent with great concern in her tone.
"I'll handle this." San Yongli responded with the swiftness of the wind as the Evil Sentinel was occupied conceiving of the best way to devour her whole. Whether it should be done slowly or with a single gulp. He seemed to think he had enough leisure time to even decide how he wanted to eat in his mind, the meal prepared and unable to escape, sizing San Yongli up and down.
San Yongli's Astral Core was abnormal to an extreme! When she summoned forth her power, her Astral Core's size was revealed to the world!
Eighty-one centimeters!
The absolute pinnacle of an Astral Core!
Moreover, her Astral Core had a faint belt enveloping it, bearing a strong resemblance to a Transcendence Radiance Belt! Moreover, there were eighty-one Mystic Rune Seeds within! The limit that an Astral Soul could gather at the Star Core Phase, and within that belt was eighty-one Mystic Rune Seeds floating about in harmony. Despite her Temporal Eye Phase cultivation base, she had somehow gathered eighty-one seeds, fully prepared for the Star Core Phase!
Tambu Ma's spiritual sense was observing the situation intensely. He was unwilling to lose track of this terrifying Evil Sentinel. He needed to know when to run should their focus change. But when San Yongli revealed her Astral Core, he was taken aback.
"She has an Astral Belt of Ascension?! Where in the world did she obtain an Astral Belt of Ascension?! WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?!" Tambu Ma was shaken to his core. The Belt of Astral Mysticism was a rare treasure that only Mystic Overlords and those beyond could create; it was a fantastical treasure that was unfathomably difficult to obtain, possessing unimaginable effects accompanied by even greater benefits.
The first and most renowned ability it was known for was the passive gathering effect of Mystic Essence at a speed that was unprecedented, rivaling a cultivator with innate talents of a Worldly Overlord; additionally, it could convert that Mystic Essence into Mystic Energies every millisecond of the day, continuously granting a cultivator an ability to cultivate without end!
While this was a mere reduced version of one of the innate abilities possessed by Mystic Overlords, the potential applications were endless. Fortunately, it had a limited lifespan of only six centuries after being refined by a cultivator. To an Ascended being, that wasn't very long, especially given its requirements and cost to create.
But if given to a mortal cultivator, they could gather Mystic Rune Seeds, greatly decreasing their time needed to gather Mystic Essence, essentially paving their path to having qualifications to challenge the Mystic Ascendant Realm's Ascension Trials, potentially saving them hundreds of years. There were a few other effects, but even Tambu Ma was only vaguely familiar with them. He distinctly remembered another one of them, however, after he caught an Elder of his sullenly lamenting about it while drinking tea, wishing they had one during their early years!
His eyes bulged as he recalled it, further shaken that San Yongli had an Astral Belt of Ascension!
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtWhat Tambu Ma failed to notice was that this belt was thinner, less radiant, and distinctively weaker than a true Astral Belt of Ascension as if it were a mere replica of a genuine article forged by a talented Forger of significantly high talent yet lower cultivation base. If he had noticed, his reaction might have mellowed out a little, because these things were sold in the Azure-Prime Galactic Zone at an absurdly high price!
Unfortunately, he never had the honor of possessing one or seeing them in real life, only the spiritual image projection within his clan's records after some forced education and self-studying.
"Okay." Wen Mingna smiled with relief and a light of visible trust. Meanwhile, she glanced at the charcoal-skinned Evil Sentinel who seemed to be engrossed in other thoughts, seemingly granting sufficient time for San Yongli to plan and react.
'What a frightening influence. We can't have that.'
Wen Mingna's eyes surreptitiously glowed a dim golden, heavenly radiance. The charcoal-skinned Evil Sentinel suddenly seemed to feel an urgency in his heart, the desire to contemplate the eighty different ways to enjoy San Yongli was suppressed. A vigilance overwhelmed his heart and the leisurely belief of enjoying a hapless meal in waiting was dismissed.
BOOSH!!!
"Let's see how you taste," the charcoal-skinned Evil Sentinel sinisterly exclaimed, his voice deep and reverberating.
San Yongli's eyes constricted slightly as she drew upon her thick, eighty-one-centimeter Astral Core's Astral Force. She had driven her Astral Core to the limit of the Mortal Dao, a feat that only genuine geniuses with extraordinary backgrounds could ever achieve or those blessed with exceptional fortune! Like her!
San Yongli didn't want to casually expose this power of hers, but she was left with little choice! She had spent several difficult decades acquiring treasures and gains that the Book of Heaven's Path led her to just to reach this extreme point, while simultaneously cultivating a few synergistic Cultivation Methods from pre-Sealed Region era to attain this, ensuring her body didn't explode from Cultivation Deviation with the True World Resonance Body and an Origin State! Even if she wanted to hide it, the moment she truly drew upon her vast reserves of refined astral force, it would be unable to escape any of these Ascended beings or abnormal mortal's senses.
But since she decided to stand her ground, she no longer decided to dwell on exposing one of her greatest achievements.
The charcoal-skinned Evil Sentinel didn't care about the how-simply the taste. He took a step forward.
Bam!
He felt his body reel slightly as if a tiny toddler had kicked him in the chest. He found himself enveloped in strings of soulful white light, grasping him like multiple tiny children were trying to hold him back.
"What strange World Pressure! Is that Soul Light? Doesn't seem to be..." He was briefly stunned by the obstruction, but it was for the briefest of moments. With a single step, all fetters collapsed. Then, he took another step, about to unleash a casual ripple to shatter the Worldly Domain that was enveloping him! But he stopped just as he was about to stomp.
San Yongli's eyes constricted a step further as she hastily retracted her Worldly Domain. She had thought it would cause a little hindrance, but what type of physical power was that?! Was this Evil Sentinel a Martial Cultivator?!
The Evil Sentinel had almost destroyed his meal. An intact Domain Seed with this strange strength was much better than crumbled remains of a shattered one.
Xue Yifei was watching as well, similarly stunned with the rest of the trio of Saintesses. They realized that San Yongli's Worldly Domain had pseudo-Soul Light infused within. Did she consume a transcendent, non-variant Neo-Dawn Eclipse Pill? But...how? Seeing her beautifully ravishing appearance with those eyes that could entice any greedy god, and that body and face that wasn't much inferior to their own, they had wild thoughts that Wei Wuyin had taken another lover.
But they Xue Yifei and Na Xinyi were stunned; Wei Wuyin never kept any of his sexual or in-process courting relationships a secret from his concubine or his fiancée. Unlike those untrustworthy men who hide their actions with lies, he was upfront and they actually appreciated the honesty, and they would never be surprised either.
San Yongli was not one of them! Nor was she a Valkyrie!
So...how?!
San Yongli sighed as she realized she almost made a critical mistake.
Wen Mingna frowned slightly; the influence of the Heavenly Daos was violently affecting the charcoal-skinned Evil Sentinel at the moment. She could visually perceive the ripples around his head through her golden eyes, ripples that not even Wei Wuyin could see, only sense.
The charcoal-skinned Evil Sentinel frowned as he gave San Yongli another look, once again halting his imposing momentum. "Where did you get that strange belt from?" He asked curiously as he noticed her Astral Belt of Ascension, realizing that it was causing his Mystic World Intent to be absorbed through its slow rotation, unable to affect San Yongli in the slightest.
OH MY HEAVENS!
Wen Mingna was growing annoyed. Her eyes glowed just a little brighter, forming several one-handed hand-seals hidden within her robes' sleeves. As she did, her expression grew one shade paler.
"I'll find out for myself!" The charcoal-skinned Evil Sentinel roared violently, shaking heaven and earth. He spatially shifted!
San Yongli pressed her palm forward as she began pouring copious amounts of astral force into her left palm. Faintly, gorgeous, milky white flames erupted on her fingertips and thumb, each containing an esoteric mystic rune. From her index finger's Mystic Rune, a faint aura of a Heavenly Saint began to radiate outwards. From the depths of her Astral Core, her Origin State Astral Soul exerted its unique powers, interfacing with the rune!
Heavenly Rune!
MANA DOMINANCE!
WORLD PRISON!
After losing the Heavenly World Core, or as others might refer to it as-the Heaven Relic, she scoured the Book of Heaven Path until she found out the origins of Yun Che's fortune, and found her own on another page. She didn't hesitate to locate and seize it, and while it might not be as strong, she had gained a greater advantage in possessing four other esoteric Mystic Rune left behind by a Heavenly Saint!
"What?! You-" The charcoal-skinned Evil Sentinel was stunned as he stumbled out of his spatial shift, a line of glaring red blood flowed from his nose. He uncharacteristically paused his movements as Wen Mingna saw that the golden ripples at his head were increasing their frequency of emission to an absurd degree.
The charcoal-skinned Evil Sentinel could also feel the ambient mana rip itself from his control, seized by an unimaginable power far beyond him. His great powers were being contested against, and he was...losing?
Immediately, Wen Mingna acted once again; she formed several hand-seals as her Fate Force drained at an unprecedented rate. Her facial complexion suddenly grew three shades lighter as she stifled the urge to spew out blood, swallowing it without anyone noticing. She had to take out a golden elixir and down it openly, her complexion returned to normal almost immediately.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"-DIE!" The charcoal-skinned Evil Sentinel shrugged off his thoughts as he tapped into the truest instincts and desire, following true to his heart without any influence, he clenched his fist, gathered his physical power, a uniquely imbalanced mixture of physical-grade mystic energies and the others, similar to spiritual power and spiritual force, and unleashed an Ascension Martial Art of the Third Way!
A gargantuan, obsidian palm manifested that grasped at San Yongli, like a sky-concealing palm that stretched for thousands of miles. It was going to crush her! She was now a considerable threat! So he no longer held back! He'll slurp her mangled remains all the same!
San Yongli's eyes once again constricted another level, going to needlepoint as she saw such a powerful attack! Just as she was about to resort to another treasure to dispel the immediate crisis, a glint of mystic light shot violently toward the charcoal-skinned Evil Sentinel.
Her eyes brightened.
"What?!" The charcoal-skinned Evil Sentinel was stunned as the attack was too perfectly timed. He had just unleashed a great Ascension Art, so when he tried to defend, he could only do so with thirty percent of his power.
BOOM!!
He was sent flying after a thunderous collision. He went tens of thousands of miles away, and the mystic light that struck him ruthlessly pursued, following up decisively as they unleashed an Ascension Art! Of the Sixth Way! A fiery spear that stretched for tens of miles smashed into the charcoal-skinned Evil Sentinel! They seized the initiative and refused to lose it!
San Yongli sighed in her heart. So they did act in the end!
Wen Mingna's eyes widened slightly. She was quick-witted, however, saying through her unique transmission to San Yongli: "That was quite difficult to do."
San Yongli had noticed Wen Mingna's fate aura at the last moment, causing her to grow suspicious of what she intended to do with her power, but after hearing that, knowing of a Heavenly Seer's mysterious abilities, she glanced in her direction with a trace of gratefulness. Their mysterious ability to influence events was quite peculiar, and while she didn't fully understand it, she knew they could lead one to fortune or directly to their untimely deaths. She personally experienced that from Ming Shufeng.
"Thank you," San Yongli honestly replied from her heart. She hurriedly fled as she didn't dare to remain, integrating with the environment with a translucent cloak. Not even the Evil Sentinel would be able to find her with the Null Cloak, a severely damaged Mystic-World grade treasure. She made some repairs with the help of the soul in the jade, and it was enough to remain totally hidden. Without this, she wouldn't have been able to approach Yi Yun without being noticed.
Unfortunately, it only worked for her at the moment.
Like a shadow meeting solar light with no cover, her entire existence seemingly vanished without a trace.
Wen Mingna watched as a human with a Blessed presence fought against the Evil Sentinel; she was not one of the nine agreed upon Earthly Saints belonging to the other races. But her skill with the usage of fire power was earthshaking to witness. She was already dealing considerable damage to the Evil Sentinel. If not for his unique skin, his flesh would look scorched black.
Suddenly, Wen Mingna smiled brilliantly, a competitive light flickered in her eyes as she eyed the vast sky. 'I guess I'll just have to try a little harder next time.'

[Author's Note: Ya'll forget Wen Mingna is a Valkyrie?! ONE OF THE ORIGINAL! I particularly loved and hated this chapter, but I love Wen Mingna. <3 This chapter was hilarious to me and almost as frustrating, so only she saved my sanity. Trust me, I'm with you guys!]
Erdiul's Note: For those who don't understand what happened this chapter. Wen Mingna is using her new cultivation method to counter the influence of the Heavenly Dao towards the sentinel, by stopping him from doing stupid stuff and directly killing San Yongli. She failed in the end, as a blessed came to San Yongli's rescue in the end.
